Soul Emperor Martial God

Chapter 2307: Chapter 2303: Dragon Feather Ice Falcon

”Just going like this, with nothing but yourself?”

Xia Yiming was stunned for a moment; on his cold, stern face, there was a trace of hesitation.

”Our Ice Emperor Palace is renowned above the Central Region, and for tens of millions of years has been the cultivation Holy Land that countless Martial Artists dream of.”

”On ordinary days, even the Sixteen Venerable Envoys are enough to make each Overlord Force famous in the Central Region receive them respectfully and treat them as honored guests.”

”If an elder travels, then beneath his ceremonial carriage, male and female attendants of the palace, thirty each, tread the snow at his side, plus a squad of Ice Venerate Guards waiting alongside, ready to obey commands at any time. Above the Central Region, aside from the Eight Palaces, any force must retreat, seal their gates, and dare not offend in the slightest.”

”And if it is a protector’s honored carriage, then there must be Six Extremes Ice Chariots, Six Holy Birds, Twelve Ice Beasts, and 300 Ice Envoys accompanying. Wherever they pass, even the Hidden Hundred Families must sweep their couches to welcome them and dare not show the least disrespect.”

Xia Yiming said in a deep voice, ”Now, this is the first time in tens of millions of years that the Palace Master’s honored self is traveling. Naturally, we must not show the slightest negligence.”

Xiao Yi furrowed his brows. ”As a Martial Artist, you think so too?”

Xia Yiming shook his head coldly. ”The Clan Leader instructed me that if Palace Master you asked, I was to answer like this.”

”In addition, the Clan Leader also said that if Palace Master you don’t even want this extremely strong defensive-type flying ship, then you must take those two Dragon Feather Ice Falcons.”

”Dragon Feather Ice Falcons?” At first Xiao Yi’s expression was doubtful, then it suddenly changed in shock as the image of this demon beast surfaced in his mind.

Xia Yiming directly answered as well, ”The Dragon Feather Ice Falcon is an Ancient Venerate Beast, not only rare, but incomparably noble.”

”Within the whole range of the Endless Snow Mountain, there are only two, and they obey only the Ice Emperor Palace and the Ice Storm Sword Pavilion.”

Chirp...

As Xia Yiming spoke, he blew a whistle.

Hiss... From high above, two violent, sky-breaking sounds reached an extreme pitch and speed.

At the edge of the sky, two streaks of white light seemed to appear, and with that astonishing sky-breaking sound, in just an instant they had already dropped onto the ship.

”So fast.” Xiao Yi’s pupils shrank.

Even with his eyesight, he had just now only been able to see two streaks of white light at the sky’s horizon; the height could be imagined to be astonishingly great.

From such a height, they actually descended from the heavens in an instant. With this kind of flying speed, Xiao Yi knew he was far from capable of matching it.

Before him, there were already two Nian Beasts.

They were two ice falcons, their feathers pure white all over, not very large, their bodies less than two meters long, and their wingspan only a bit more than one meter.

With such a size, they would be considered extremely petite among demon beasts.

If a person rode on them, only one could sit.

Looking more closely, that petite body was like a nimble, flowing line, making it impossible to find the slightest discordant place.

Between the twin wings, roughly near the neck area, there was a pair of palm-sized little wings, thin as a cicada’s wing, snowy white and smooth, yet bearing a faint, eye-hardly-discernible trace of red light.

Those were the dragon feathers.

The Dragon Feather Ice Falcon is the most precious demon beast in existence, almost without equal.

Because within their bodies flows true Dragon Blood; they possess the genuine Flame Dragon Bloodline.

In this world, any demon beast that carries even a trace of Dragon Blood is enough to become one of the rare demon beasts of the era.

But of those Xiao Yi had seen, most possessed only Sub-dragon Bloodlines, not pure.

Even the legendary Ice Illusion Dragon Soul of the Endless Snow Mountain here, and the Green Flood Dragon Beast, rumored to be one of the Ten Great Strange Beasts, are all impure Sub-dragon Bloodlines.

Only the Dragon Feather Ice Falcon possesses the true Flame Dragon Bloodline; it is practically the only demon beast on record whose Dragon Bloodline is the purest.

The Dragon Feather Ice Falcon itself is an Ancient Strange Beast; the source of all its strength lies in those dragon feathers at its neck, thin as cicada wings.

Even in Ancient times, its rarity was already astonishing, with only a few in all heaven and earth.

Now, these two in the Endless Snow Mountain are likely the only two remaining in the world.

Xia Yiming said solemnly, ”These two Dragon Feather Ice Falcons have reportedly existed since the founding of the Ice Emperor Palace and were personally subdued by the Grandmaster.”

”The two demon beasts are at the Saint Venerate Realm Eighth Layer level, but their flying speed is nearly the first in the world.”

Xiao Yi nodded slightly.

At Saint Venerate Realm Eighth Layer, even Human Martial Artists are able to possess extremely long lifespans.

And demon beasts naturally have lifespans far exceeding those of humans.

So it is not strange at all that these two Dragon Feather Ice Falcons could live from the era of the Ice Venerable to the present.

In addition, because of their pure Bloodline, the Dragon Feather Ice Falcons have a terrifying and ultimate control power over the world’s Martial Arts laws.

Their Wind Control Ability and control of Space Power are the foremost in the current age.

The only flaw of the Dragon Feather Ice Falcon is perhaps that it is not adept at combat.

But if they put their hearts solely into fleeing, then even someone at the level of the Master of the Main Hall would hardly be able to capture them.

Heaven knows how the Ice Venerable subdued these two Dragon Feather Ice Falcons, the only ones remaining in the world.

Xia Yiming said gravely, ”These two demon beasts, Palace Master...”

Xiao Yi smiled and said, ”Of course I’ll take them; these are treasures.”

Whoosh... Xia Yiming’s figure flashed, and he leaped onto one of the Dragon Feather Ice Falcons.

Chirp...

The Dragon Feather Ice Falcon put up a symbolic resistance, let out a cry, and then no longer moved.

Xia Yiming patted its head and said, ”The Dragon Feather Ice Falcon is extremely proud. Aside from those it recognizes and the Four Great Guardians, no one can ride them.”

”First, I am a descendant of the Xia Family and often see them by the Clan Leader’s side; second, for other reasons, I have won the recognition of one of them.”

”If the Palace Master wants to ride them, it depends on your ability...”

Before Xia Yiming could finish his words...

Xiao Yi had already walked to the side of the other Dragon Feather Ice Falcon, patted its head, and casually asked, ”Will you let me ride?”

Xia Yiming chuckled. ”Palace Master, such Exotic Beasts cannot be subdued like this; you must gain their complete recognition...”

Again, before Xia Yiming could finish his sentence...

The Dragon Feather Ice Falcon had already nodded.

Xiao Yi smiled. ”To gain their recognition, it doesn’t seem all that difficult.”

”However...” Xiao Yi furrowed his brows and hesitated again.

”What is the Palace Master worrying about?” Xia Yiming asked in puzzlement.

Xiao Yi frowned and said, ”This trip is to the Demon Domain.”

Xia Yiming said seriously, ”On this point, Palace Master can rest at ease.”

”Though the Demon Domain is a place where demon beasts gather, including Ancient Fierce Beasts and even demon beast emperors...”

”The Dragon Feather Ice Falcons have a noble Bloodline and do not fear that kind of pressure.”

”Moreover, they have been demon beasts of the Endless Snow Mountain since Ancient times and feel no sense of belonging toward the Demon Domain; they will not betray you because of that.”

”That’s not what I’m worried about.” Xiao Yi shook his head and rubbed his chin.

”It’s just that I’ve always been accustomed to going alone and have never feared any kind of perilous land.”

”Following me will be extremely dangerous.”

”There are only these two Dragon Feather Ice Falcons in the world. If one dies, what then?”

Xiao Yi frowned.

At the instant his words fell, the two Dragon Feather Ice Falcons instinctively let out a ’gwa’ sound—cries of astonishment.

Their two pairs of snow-white eyes rolled, and they both fixed their gaze on Xiao Yi.

”Forget it, doesn’t matter. Let’s go.” Xiao Yi shrugged, patted one Dragon Feather Ice Falcon, and his figure flashed as he flew off, Controlling the air.
