Soul Emperor Martial God

Chapter 1452: Chapter 1452: When He Returns

One month ago.

Far away in the Asura Territory beyond the Eighteen Mansions Territory.

In this vast region, there are no other forces; what exists is the Ancient Hall that has stood here for millions of years.

Asura Hall Main Hall.

At this moment, inside the Main Hall, two elders are conversing about something.

Upon closer inspection, it is the Asura Hall Master and the Wind Shattering Hall Master.

”Old friend, have you really made up your mind?” The Wind Shattering Hall Master suddenly stood up, frowning and asked.

The Asura Hall Master solemnly nodded.

The Wind Shattering Hall Master frowned, ”It has only been a few months since he was promoted to Vice Hall Master for evaluation.”

”Deciding so quickly, don’t you think it’s too hasty?”

The Asura Hall Master shook his head, ”If he truly has the ability and is indeed exceptional, and we have enough confidence in him, what difference does it make whether we evaluate for a few months, a few years, or even decades?”

”But...” The Wind Shattering Hall Master wanted to say something.

The Asura Hall Master shook his head, interrupting, ”I remember you once said that this young generation of the Flame Dragon Continent is the most monstrous generation.”

”Indeed.” The Wind Shattering Hall Master nodded.

”Festivities, opportunities, and secrets have frequently emerged over these years.”

”For this young generation, this is both a blessing and a curse.”

”This generation is simply born timely, full of opportunities and infinite possibilities.”

”Each one of them is born timely, and is the most monstrous generation.”

The Asura Hall Master faintly smiled, ”Do you still remember, such a grand occasion once happened before.”

”It’s just that, in that distant past that we can’t even remember, we missed it.”

”This time, will we still miss it?”

”This...” The Wind Shattering Hall Master’s tone hesitated.

The Asura Hall Master’s tone gradually became grave, ”This generation is born timely.”

”But you should be very clear, that which is also born timely, is not only them.”

”Rather than saying these opportunities and fortune make them extraordinarily monstrous and outstanding; it’s better to say they are forced to be extraordinarily outstanding and monstrous.”

”I observe the destiny, and there are some unusual aspects. I’m afraid there might be unforeseen changes.”

”I fear that the heavens are about to change.”

The Asura Hall Master suddenly had a stern look on his face.

Hearing this, the Wind Shattering Hall Master squinted, ”Old friend, are you in a hurry to step down because you plan to...”

”Exactly.” The Asura Hall Master nodded, saying in a deep voice, ”There are some responsibilities that us old fellows should take on.”

”But that boy is still too young.” The Wind Shattering Hall Master said solemnly.

”Young?” The Asura Hall Master chuckled, ”Youth isn’t a reason for us to underestimate him.”

”Alright then.” The Wind Shattering Hall Master finally nodded, ”Your vision has always been incredibly accurate, so I’ll listen to you.”

”Mm.” The Asura Hall Master nodded, looking towards two other elders on the side, ”Hengtian, you go to the Sword Domain later.”

”Chengfeng, you go too,” the Wind Shattering Hall Master instructed.

”Yes.” The two nodded in acknowledgment.

”Hall Master.” The Hengtian Palace Master suddenly bowed and asked, ”What is destiny, and what is a variable?”

In his impression, it was the first time he had seen the Main Hall Master with such a grave expression.

”Hehe.” The Asura Hall Master chuckled, ”Your realm is not there yet. Even if I explain more, you wouldn’t understand.”

”What is called destiny, is this heaven’s will; you could perhaps call it the almighty heavens.”

”This world might not have thoughts.”

”But all things in this world are within the rules; every flower, every grass, every grain of sand, every stone exists because of the power of Heaven and Earth Rules.”

”Everything exists, is born, and dies because of these Heaven and Earth Rules.”

”As for variables,” the Asura Hall Master paused, ”You should know about Guu Lianxing’s matters.”

As he spoke, the Asura Hall Master glanced at the numerous files on the table.

”Of course.” The Hengtian Palace Master replied, ”Everything about that boy’s actions over the past few months is written clearly in these intelligence dossiers.”

It must be said, the intelligence gathering abilities of the Wind Shattering Hall are indeed impressive.

The events of Heavenly Star City had just concluded not long ago, yet these complete intelligence documents had already been placed on the tables of the two Main Hall Masters.

The Asura Hall Master nodded, ”As for the conflict within Guu Lianxing’s body, in fact, there is only one way to resolve it, and that is by transferring the bloodline.”

”This is destiny.”

”The Inheritance of the Heavenly Star Prefecture has spanned countless ages. People with similar situations to Guu Lianxing are not many, but there are some.”

”But without exception, all can only solve it by transferring their bloodline through union.”

”But that Ye Liu has traveled across the Central Region attempting to find another way to save her, and this is the variable.”

”But didn’t that Ye Liu fail?” the Hengtian Palace Master asked further.

”Yes.” The Asura Hall Master nodded, ”This is destiny, even if he traverses the Central Region, he decidedly cannot find another solution, nor can he change anything.”

”Trying to create a variable is to act against heaven, and no matter how hard he tried, he still failed, having only to return helplessly.”

”But you should know that if Xiao Yi had not gotten involved, risking himself to forcibly extend Guu Lianxing’s life for a few years, the consequences for those two would have been unknown.”

”It’s very likely that Ye Liu wouldn’t have made it back in time to see Guu Lianxing one last time, or maybe would have regretted it his whole life.”

”Acting against heaven, there are consequences to bear.”

”Indeed, Xiao Yi nearly got caught up in the whirlpool of the Nine Mansions’ battle, and his life was in great danger.”

”Is the heaven’s will so terrifying?” The Hengtian Palace Master couldn’t help but swallow.

”This has nothing to do with being terrifying,” the Asura Hall Master shook his head.

The Hengtian Palace Master couldn’t help but ask, ”Is there really no way to act against heaven?”

”There is. If one truly succeeds, that would be a miracle,” the Wind Shattering Hall Master chuckled, ”Throughout countless ages, there have been quite a few who have created miracles, but they all paid a significant price.”

”Can’t one succeed without paying a price?” The Hengtian Palace Master pouted, ”I don’t believe no one can shake the heaven’s will.”

”There is.” The Wind Shattering Hall Master chuckled again, ”To achieve the position of Martial God, to transcend above the heavens, disregard the Heaven and Earth Rules, only this way.”

The Asura Hall Master continued, ”Thus, the martial artist’s cultivation, in essence, is an act against heaven, the path of Martial Arts Dao is fraught with thorns, achieving Martial God status is nearly impossible.”

”Too profound.” The Hengtian Palace Master shook his head.

”You tough old coot, isn’t it normal that you don’t understand?” The Chengfeng Hall Master teased with a smile.

”What did you say?” The Hengtian Palace Master glared.

”Alright, you two, hurry to the Sword Domain.” The Asura Hall Master solemnly ordered.

”The journey to the Sword Domain will be the final test for that boy.”

”If he can give a satisfactory answer, then it’s time for me to step down.”

The Wind Shattering Hall Master chuckled, ”Me too.”

”Once he returns, he will immediately assume the position of Main Hall Master.”
