Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey!

Chapter 1143: Chapter 275: Na Su: Kill, Hurry and Kill Them!

Guardian Elder looked at Su Dao impatiently: ”Saint Heir, Coyote has not returned, the ceremony requires him to present the treasure book to demonstrate the Heavenly Mandate?”

Na Su listened to this and looked at Guardian Elder: ”Hmm, this needs to adjust the rules, Coyote’s death in Gu God’s Forest was unexpected, fortunately Mr. Zhang retrieved the treasure book.”

”Then let Mr. Zhang replace Coyote and respectfully present the treasure book.”

Guardian said: ”But Coyote is the Saint Heir’s Shadow Guard, this...”

Na Su said: ”The shadow can be absent, but I must persist, wouldn’t you agree, Elder!”

Guardian Elder was startled, then lightly nodded: ”Fine, since that’s the case, let’s proceed accordingly.”

Guardian Elder was somewhat disappointed, after all, he was also of Shadow Guard origins, being the shadow of Mother Gu.

Precisely because of his Shadow Guard origins, he decided not to partake in the internal conflicts of the Five Poison Sect, and although he rose to the rank of sect elder, he still performed Shadow Guard duties, which were to protect the Divine Temple and guard the Sect Hierarch of the Five Poison Sect.

Thus, this was the reason he never competed for the top position among the Five Sects.

Coyote’s background was similar to his, although the two had no interaction, it was inevitable to feel a sense of mourning for the dead.

Guardian Elder shook his head, then sighed, unable to stop thinking, this Saint Heir was truly heartless, even imagining himself in Coyote’s position, wondering if Mother Gu would undoubtedly seek him out in the dense forest.

Alive to see the person, dead to see the corpse, after all, a Shadow Guard is the master’s shadow, how can someone ignore their shadow and live alone in the world.

When one becomes a Shadow Guard, they understand their bond with the shadow is life-and-death from that day onward, unexpected now.

Guardian Elder thought, feeling somewhat sorrowful, yet said nothing, merely waved his hand feebly to let Mr. Zhang, an outsider, take this important role.

Thinking of this, Guardian Elder instructed his subordinates nearby to prepare for the ceremony to begin.

And at this time, hidden in Elder Jin Chan’s team not far away, a person looked incredulously at this side, the Young Master, the Young Master actually disregarded him this way.

How could this be!

To know, when they became Shadow Guards, the first thing was to swear before the statue of the Holy Master with the master, from now on, sharing life and death.

The Shadow Guard vowed from now on to obviously strive for the master with all his might, never resting until death.

And the master also vowed, regardless of whether the shadow is dead or alive, in the future must locate the shadow’s body, care for the shadow’s family, including the incapacitated shadow person, never abandoning or giving up, even if there’s a mere chance to save the shadow, must rush forward.

And the shadow swears, as long as there’s danger, they go first, they can do what’s necessary to shield the master from harm.

The two are named master and servant, but essentially brothers.

Therefore, Coyote, hidden within Elder Jin Chan’s team, was extraordinarily difficult to accept.

In his view, Na Su’s actions were a type of betrayal to the previous oath.

I treat the Young Master as kin, while the Young Master treats me as worthless, such a disparity in sentiment, as the Shadow Guard Coyote can’t accept.

To know, Shadow Guards, are not servants, but come from well-off families, excellent disciples.

Like Coyote, he was one of the family children in Centipede Sect controlled by Centipede Elder, in those days he also defeated numerous contenders, only then could he rise.

Coyote went through many hardships and struggles, not to be a discarded pawn, disregarding the oath of the past, at will.

Coyote now strained to break free of the restraints.

But Chanda kicked him: ”Stay calm, damn it.”

Chang Er said: ”Feel uncomfortable inside, right, a kind of pain of being abandoned.”

Coyote said nothing, Chang Er looked at Chanda: ”Alright, let him cause a scene, but not make a noise.”

The two also felt quite sympathetic towards Coyote, after all, back then they all competed for that Shadow Guard position together, but they lost, instead it was Centipede Sect’s excellent members, Coyote won this honor.

While a batch of them still remained, along with the current three Snake Guards of Yin Snake Sect.

Snake Barbarian, She Rou, She Niu...

Just the three who were beaten harshly by Chen Jie.

Guardian Elder, looked around, then spoke up: ”Alright, the auspicious time has arrived, sound the drums, invite the Holy Master!”

A loud shout followed by the sound of drums in the valley.

Dong dong dong...

As the sound of drums rang out, at this time Guardian Elder spoke under his breath: ”The sun sets in the west...”

With the completion of each incantation, the scene became extremely solemn, at this time Guardian Elder shouted: ”Saint Heir ascend to high position!”

A shout followed by the sight of the Saint Heir taking steps from below the stairs, little by little towards the statue.

Soon arrived before the statue, this time Guardian Elder said: ”Kneel, Holy Master!”

Crashing, everyone knelt down, then began worshiping Chiyou’s statue.

Bow once, bow twice, bow thrice.

To show respect for the ancestors, then at this time Guardian Elder stepped forward: ”Heaven and earth have mysterious paths, the sun and moon have cycles, our Five Poison Sect was founded by the predecessor, inheriting the Holy Master’s will, surviving on this land, a snake can’t move without a head, Mother Gu severely injured, great matters within the sect can’t be unmanaged.”

”Now the Saintess was harmed by a traitor, whereabouts unknown, can only invite the Saint Heir to temporarily hold the position of Sect Hierarch.”

”Today announce to the gods, inform Miao people, from today onwards, the Saint Heir will temporarily lead our sect.”

Saying this, Guardian Elder beckoned to Zhang Shicheng, Zhang Shicheng immediately raised ’Wu Mu’s Legacy’ high above his head.
