Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey!

Chapter 1120: Chapter 270: Elder Quan: What? Chen 94 Is Still Alive!

Elder Jin Chan said: ”That’s right, but girl, you misunderstood something. I like him, but it doesn’t mean he can become the temporary leader. Our Five Poison Sect’s rule is that the position of Sect Hierarch is passed to women, not men.”

”I like him for his bravery, not for his ambition.”

Linglong was stunned, not understanding the meaning of Elder Jin Chan’s words, and Elder Jin Chan did not intend to continue explaining.

Instead, he looked towards Chen Jiedao: ”Chen Jiusi?”

Chen Jie clasped his hands in respect, saying: ”Greetings, Elder Jin Chan.”

Elder Jin Chan looked at Chen Jie and asked: ”Why are you helping Linglong?”

Chen Jie listened to this and said to Elder Jin Chan: ”Two reasons. First, she saved my life, and I want to repay her kindness. Second, I need the Dragon Blood Ganoderma to save a very important person.”

Elder Jin Chan nodded after hearing this and said: ”Reasonable.”

Then he took a puff from his tobacco pipe and said: ”So tell me your plan, it won’t be easy to overthrow Na Su.”

”He currently has the support of Elder She and Elder Xie. Centipede Elder has always been a good man, and is also Na Su’s father-in-law. Trying to win him over will not be easy.”

”Lastly, there’s Guardian Elder, who has always been indifferent to worldly affairs, and is not easily persuaded.”

Chen Jie looked at Elder Jin Chan and said: ”What Elder Jin Chan said is very true, but I want to ask the elder one question.”

Elder Jin Chan said: ”Ask.”

”Does Na Su’s desire to become the temporary leader, besides needing the consent of you Five Elders, do the opinions of others matter?”

Elder Jin Chan said: ”Of course it matters. We Five Elders do not rule with an iron fist.”

Chen Jie said: ”If that’s the case, then our plan might have a chance to succeed.”

Elder Jin Chan said: ”What plan?”

Linglong said: ”We want to directly expose Na Su’s attempt to kill me during the Elder Council meeting.”

”At that time, besides the Five Elders, there will be various Hundred Households of the Miao Soldiers, and the elder tribesmen of the Miao Village. When everyone sees Na Su’s coyote-like ambition, I don’t believe they’ll still support him.”

Linglong said.

Elder Jin Chan listened and took a puff from his tobacco pipe, saying: ”Hmm, it is a good plan, but how will you prove that Na Su wants to kill you?”

Linglong said: ”Uncle Jin Chan, that day the one chasing me was Na Su’s guard, Coyote. As long as we capture Coyote, and have him testify, that will suffice.”

Elder Jin Chan laughed upon hearing this: ”Coyote, Coyote is Na Su’s subordinate, why would he admit he chased you?”

Linglong was immediately stunned.

Chen Jie said: ”We can use some kind of method to coerce him.”

Elder Jin Chan said: ”Oh, what method?”

Chen Jie said: ”For example, the brain worm.”

Elder Jin Chan nodded lightly and said: ”Indeed, the brain worm is very powerful, but Coyote, as a guard of Na Su, has undergone training, and the brain worm may not be able to subdue him.”

Chen Jie frowned, Linglong also frowned.

Elder Jin Chan said: ”Still not well thought out?”

Linglong frowned and said: ”Then is there no way?”

Elder Jin Chan looked at Linglong and said: ”Linglong, I should have taught you, what should you do if you encounter something you can’t solve?”

Linglong was startled and said: ”Elder Jin Chan said, if you encounter something you can’t solve, ask someone wiser.”

Thinking about it, Linglong said: ”Elder Jin Chan, please help me.”

”Me?”

Elder Jin Chan said: ”How can I help you? Did you not say I don’t like you, and I like Na Su?”

Linglong said: ”Uncle Jin Chan~”

Linglong immediately spoke up, and Chen Jie didn’t expect the stern Elder Jin Chan to be jealous of a child’s words.

Elder Jin Chan looked at the desperate Linglong and said: ”Linglong, this time is a very good lesson for you. Remember, people who are good to you everyday are not always genuinely good, they might have ulterior motives.”

”When you become the Sect Hierarch in the future, you need to distinguish who is sincere and who is insincere.”

Linglong said: ”Understood, Uncle Jin Chan, when I become the Sect Hierarch in the future, I’ll consult you on everything.”

Elder Jin Chan frowned and said: ”Nonsense, you still haven’t understood.”

”Don’t easily trust anyone, including me.”

Linglong seemed to somewhat understand, and Elder Jin Chan said: ”Hmm, I am not convenient to personally capture Coyote. Chen Jiusi, leave this person to you. As for how he will speak, just capture him and hand him to me.”

Chen Jie immediately clasped his hands upon hearing this.

Following that, Elder Jin Chan said: ”Secondly, it’s where you plan to expose Na Su’s conspiracy.”

Linglong said: ”Elder Council.”

Elder Jin Chan waved his hand and said: ”No, in two days at the Gu God Valley, Na Su will hold the Gu God ritual, and incidentally seek the treasure that fell into the Gu God Valley. By then, people from the Miao Village will be there, just right to expose his conspiracy.”

”However, this is not yet secure. This time in the Gu God Valley, there are also two people from the Zoroastrian Sect. Elder Quan is not difficult to deal with, but the accompanying Han Miaozhen is at the Molten Furnace Realm, and I’m not her match.”

”To resolve this matter, the first issue is to figure out how to delay Han Miaozhen.”

Upon hearing this, Chen Jie fell silent, then spoke after a while: ”We’ll find a way for this matter.”

”But Elder Jin Chan, the Gu God ritual is heavily guarded, we might need to trouble you to help us enter the Gu God Valley.”

Elder Jin Chan said: ”That’s simple, later you can do some makeup and accompany me as my Golden Toad Guard, to sneak into the Gu God Valley.”

Upon hearing this, Chen Jie clasped his hands and said: ”Then we’ll set the plan for two days later.”

”And to help Linglong reclaim the position of temporary leader, we need to resolve three matters.”

”First, capture the witness, Coyote.”

”Second, Han Miaozhen. We’ll think of a way, see if we can divert her, or somehow.”

”Third, the opponents have at least three elder level supporters, and if Elder Quan is included, that’s four. Among us, only you and I, Elder Jin Chan, the gap is somewhat large, and we need to address this as well.”

Elder Jin Chan said: ”Yes, indeed, over the next two days, let’s resolve these matters.”

Upon hearing Elder Jin Chan’s words, Chen Jie’s heart thought secretly, actually there’s a fourth, but I can’t tell you, that’s I still need to find a way to get Wu Mu’s Legacy.
