Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey!

Chapter 222: Chapter 120, Verse 94: Whoever kills my brother must be killed!_3

Zhou Peng felt an ominous sensation as if the whole Beggar Sect was about to launch a terrifying counterattack.

Such a condition, he knew, was how the Fishing Guild and Guild Cao managed to stand out from the numerous guilds, by being aggressive and constantly stirring up trouble, right?

This behavior was known as establishing a presence in Jianghu through force.

Only by showing strength could one gain corresponding benefits.

Zhou Peng also felt that the Old Leader wanted to snatch the position of Mianshui County’s third-largest guild.

But how could he be so confident? Didn’t he know that the two major sects in Mianshui County weren’t to be trifled with?

Would they just watch as the Beggar Sect rose to power?

He had to admit that the Old Guild Leader was perhaps overly confident.

Zhou Peng wanted to persuade him, but he found that the Old Leader seemed to no longer listen to others.

Just then, a little beggar ran in.

”Squad Leader.”

The Old Leader looked at the little beggar and asked, ”What’s the matter?”

”White Tiger Hall, someone from White Tiger Hall says they want to see the Old Leader.”

”Oh, let them in.”

Upon hearing this, the little beggar immediately ran out to let the person carrying the message from White Tiger Hall enter.

Soon, a Fishing Guild Disciple came in, bowing to the old beggar and said, ”I’ve seen my senior.”

The old beggar looked at him and asked, ”What does Peng Shizhong want you to do?”

At this moment, the Fishing Guild Disciple took out a letter from his bosom.

”Senior, I am here to deliver a letter.”

The old beggar reached out his hand and said, ”Give it here.”

The letter was quickly handed to the old beggar, who took the letter and scanned it from beginning to end without any expression, then closed it, saying, ”Hmm, I am aware of the matters within the letter. Tell your Sect Master Peng that I will provide him with a satisfactory reply.”

The Fishing Guild Disciple bowed and said, ”Yes, senior.”

After finishing, he turned and left, while the old beggar looked at the letter again, his expression growing colder.

At that moment, Zhou Peng asked, ”Old Leader, what did Peng Shizhong say?”

The old beggar said with a laugh, ”Hehe, he says that if I don’t hand over Feng San to him to deal with, he will go to war with our Beggar Sect.”

Zhou Peng frowned and said, ”Old Leader, when you said you’d give him a satisfactory reply, you didn’t really mean to hand Feng San over to Peng Shizhong, did you?”

”Hand him over? Hehehe...”

The old beggar chuckled and then said, ”Feng San is the Golden Saber Guardian’s Disciple. If I handed him over, how would I explain it to the higher-ups? Besides, he hasn’t done anything wrong; he’s just killed a few from the Fishing Guild.”

”Then, Old Leader, about that satisfactory reply?”

The old beggar frowned slightly and said, ”Peng Shizhong is not someone with a good temper. If we don’t agree on this side, he will declare war. I’m not afraid of going to war, but it’s all so sudden, the other branches haven’t prepared yet. I need to buy them time to get ready, stabilize Old Peng first!”

”Notify the other branches immediately, everyone, to gather here immediately, prepare for war!”

Hearing this, Zhou Peng’s eyelids twitched, ”Old Leader, are we really going to war?”

The old beggar said, ”If we don’t fight, we’ll never be able to stand tall in Mianshui County again!”

Hearing this, Zhou Peng helplessly responded, ”Yes.”

The Fishing Guild Disciple quickly returned to West City and reported the situation to Peng Shizhong. Peng Shizhong, upon hearing this, revealed a cold smirk and said, ”A satisfactory reply, huh? Notify Feng Xuan and the others, it’s time to make a move!”

Upon hearing this, Peng Fu said, ”Lord, isn’t it too hasty? The old beggar said he’d give us a satisfactory reply!”

Peng Shizhong, upon hearing this, said, ”Satisfactory? Hehe, by not handing over the person, it means he doesn’t want to. No need for idle talk. Kill! Keep killing until he hands the person over!”

”Yes!”

...

War is always unexpected.

It started very swiftly!

One day, without any warning, in the whole Mianshui County, blood battles broke out at various Beggar Sect branches.

For a while, it alarmed all the big shots in Mianshui County.

Fishing Guild:

”What, White Tiger Hall has made a move?”

Nan Batian stood up from his meal, looking at Bai Zhishan Tang Ziyue beside him.

Tang Ziyue reported, ”Reporting to the Gang Leader, yes, the scouts reported that Sect Master Peng’s four adoptive sons took action together and launched a surprise attack on the three main halls of the Beggar Sect.”

”What’s the situation?”

”The latest update is still pending, we only know that the fight is fierce. Sect Master Peng has really gone all out this time.”

Nan Batian said, ”Heh, my brother has acted decisively this time. Do we know the reason?”

”It seems to be related to something about his fifth adoptive son yesterday.”

”The fifth adoptive son, called, Chen...”

”Chen Jiusi.”

”Oh, right, what exactly happened?”

”It’s like this...”

After hearing the details, Nan Batian said, ”Hmm, no wonder, so it’s because his White Tiger Hall people were involved that my brother is so furious.”

”Gang Leader, do we need to lend a hand to White Tiger Hall?”

”No need for now, just watch the show.”

Tang Ziyue answered, ”Yes.”

While they were talking, a maid ran in and said, ”My lord.”

”Hmm?”

Nan Batian looked at her, and the maid said, ”The mistress refuses to be medicated.”

”Useless.”

”Gang Leader, please spare my life!”

Nan Batian said, ”Whether your life can be spared depends on the mistress.”

With that, Nan Batian rushed towards the backyard. When he arrived, all the doors were closed. Upon knocking on the door, he called out, ”Wan’er, don’t be angry, open the door, let the maid apply the medicine, or you’ll scar.”

There was no response from inside.

Nan Batian continued, ”Wan’er, don’t blame me, I had a mishap while Energy Flowing, which affected my mind; I didn’t mean to hit you.”

Still, silence reigned inside.

Seeing this, Nan Batian instantly got angry and shouted, ”Someone, execute these incompetent maids serving poorly!”

”Wait.”

Just then, a gentle female voice came from inside the room, causing Nan Batian to immediately raise his hand and say, ”Hold!”
