The Versatile Master Artist

Therefore, people need a so-called ”divine revelation” to fall in love with art, a momentary shock to wash away the dust and numbness in their hearts.

It can be as ceremonial as Miss Elina’s ancestor, gazing at Athena on the dome under the illumination of Christmas mass hymns and crystal candles.

Or it may be just a fleeting moment of emotion prompted by an art illustration at a busy bus stop.

As long as a widely circulated illustration is beautiful enough and seen by enough people, it can naturally shock countless people, becoming the art enlightenment teacher for tens of thousands of children.

Seeing this completed book, Anna had no doubt that the work in her hand could achieve this.

What she smelled was not the scent of ink but the smell of art, the wisps of Zen smoke drifting from the fragrant woods of the Muse Goddess’s altar in the Divine Hall.

Money can buy shares of ”Oil Painting” magazine, but it cannot buy away the emotion in people’s hearts.

Anna certainly did not concede.

If not for Detective Cat Sister’s limited qualifications, Anna believed that once this book was released, it would have enough prestige to vie for the best illustration in the publishing industry this year.

History proved with 30 years that Paul Durand-Ruel had an eye for Impressionism, took 20 years to confirm Larry Gagosian’s confidence in Andy Warhol, and took 10 years to blow away the criticisms of Picasso’s Blue Period.

Miss Elina considered herself luckier than all these people combined.

She waited just over two months to have this set of illustrations in her hands.

This fairy tale book is her sharp sword, enough to cut through any criticisms of Miss Elina’s vision.

”Miss Elina?”

Wearing a gray business suit, the gentle-looking Eliot raised her wrist with a Jaeger-LeCoultre moon phase watch and glanced at the time.

Eliot is Miss Anna’s personal secretary.

Unless it’s an emergency, she is unwilling to disturb her employer.

Especially when Elina is in a bad mood.

But now time was indeed running out, with less than a quarter-hour until the shareholders’ meeting began, and Miss was still staring blankly at a bronze sculpture, showing no intention of going upstairs, which inevitably made Eliot somewhat anxious.

What made the secretary more anxious was the unsettling news of today’s crucial meeting involving a billion Euro acquisition proposal and the Ilyena family’s potential expulsion from the management level.

Miss Anna remained so composed.

Eliot admired her employer’s composure, but wasn’t it a bit excessively calm to only bring a personal secretary, without financial and legal advisors!

Facing such a significant property and the reputation accumulated by the Ilyena family over several centuries.

Can she, a personal secretary more inclined to handle Miss Anna’s life affairs, truly manage it well?

”Your legal team is on standby in the coffee shop two blocks away, if you change your mind, you can call them anytime.”

”Don’t worry, Eliot, today’s issues won’t be complex. I understand simple legal knowledge, and the agenda for the shareholders’ meeting has already been handed over to me. Since both sides clearly know what is going to happen. No matter their proposal, I will vote against it, and then be voted down due to insufficient share proportion.”

”Since even the world’s best lawyer cannot change a simple share ratio through mere words, let’s save that step then.”

Anna shook her head calmly.

”By the way, please help me place the bouquet you prepared at the foot of this sculpture.”
