Apocalypse: King of Zombies

”Soul Reaver Domain!”

Wraithshade’s immense psychic power exploded outward like a tidal wave, engulfing the entire battlefield in a suffocating sea of mental energy.

Caught in the middle of it, Candlewraith felt like he was drowning in shadows. Ghostly figures swirled around him, and it was as if his very soul was being ripped from his body. A stabbing pain pierced his mind, sharp and relentless, like needles driving into his brain.

He quickly summoned his energy, trying desperately to resist the onslaught.

But Wraithshade had a natural edge over other psychic-type Zombie Kings. His power didn’t just overwhelm—it eroded, eating away at Candlewraith’s defenses bit by bit.

Candlewraith could feel his mental strength draining fast. He wouldn’t last much longer at this rate. If things kept going like this, he’d be in serious trouble.

”Ironhorn! I need backup—now!”

”On it!” Ironhorn shouted back. He bent his knees and launched himself into the air with a thunderous crack, shooting toward the two-headed Wraithshade like a living missile.

The force of his leap shattered the ground beneath him, spiderweb cracks spreading out from where he’d stood.

But Wraithshade wasn’t alone.

Beneath him, The Leviathan of the North—his monstrous guardian—swiveled its massive eyes upward, locking onto Ironhorn’s airborne form like a predator spotting prey.

Then it raised one of its colossal claws and swatted at him.

To Ironhorn, it was like a mountain had suddenly come crashing down from the sky.

BOOM!

The air trembled. Shockwaves rippled out in every direction.

The Leviathan’s strike hit like a god swatting a fly. Ironhorn was sent hurtling backward, his body slamming into the ground with bone-crushing force.

”Ironhorn!” Candlewraith turned to look—and his heart sank.

Ironhorn’s body was half-buried in the earth, embedded in a massive crater. The ground around him was cracked and broken like shattered glass.

Using the brief chaos to his advantage, Candlewraith pushed back against the crushing pressure of the Soul Reaver Domain and retreated, rushing to Ironhorn’s side.

”You okay? Can you still fight?”

”Y-yeah...” Ironhorn groaned, face down in the dirt. But something was off. His body was trembling—violently. Like he was fighting something inside himself.

Candlewraith’s brow furrowed. Something wasn’t right.

Then Ironhorn slowly pushed himself up and turned his head.

His face twisted into a grotesque grin—half-smile, half-sneer. It was wrong. Unnatural. Terrifying.

”Heh heh heh... But actually... I’m here to kill you.”

The voice wasn’t Ironhorn’s. It was Wraithshade’s—raspy, cold, and unmistakable.

Candlewraith froze, horror flashing across his face.

Ironhorn had been mind-controlled.

Before he could react, Ironhorn’s clawed fist came crashing toward his chest.

WHAM!

The punch landed squarely, sending Candlewraith flying like a home-run baseball. He hit the ground hard, skidding across the battlefield.

With The Leviathan of the North standing guard, no other zombies could get close to Wraithshade.

His psychic energy pulsed outward, relentless and cruel.

He was slowly breaking down the minds of two of Heartland’s elite warriors—both with Voidborn Undying-level strength.

Meanwhile, Bloodleech’s swarm of parasitic insects was wreaking havoc. They multiplied rapidly, spreading like wildfire, and were devastating Heartland’s zombie forces.

Together, they pushed forward, surrounding The Leviathan of the North and carving a path straight toward Heartland territory.

Shockingly, this front was advancing even more smoothly than the battles in the East and West.

But the real turning point was still in the West.

Because if Ethan fell—none of this would matter.

That battlefield was a meat grinder. Heartland had thrown everything they had into it—their full military might, including all three of their most powerful Deathless Sovereigns, along with countless undead champions.

The fighting there was pure chaos. A bloodbath.

Giant beasts roared. Mechs clashed with metallic screeches. Energy cannons lit up the sky, explosions rocking the earth in a constant barrage.

It felt like the whole world was shaking.

In the middle of it all, Elegy’s guitar wailed like a banshee. Her long, slender fingers were bleeding from the intensity, each strum sending crimson droplets flying through the air.

It was wild. Unhinged. Beautifully savage.

BOOM!

Beneath her, the Starbreaker Cannon finished charging and fired again, unleashing a blast that turned a chunk of Heartland’s forces into a blazing inferno.

”Kill them all!”

Ethan’s elite force of three thousand roared, their Lightsabers igniting with a hiss. They charged through the flames like demons from hell.

Every swing of their blades cut down another zombie. Even S-class Zombie Kings couldn’t stand against them.

They were unstoppable—cutting through the enemy like a hot knife through flesh.

”The casualties on our side are piling up…” Endless muttered, his gaze dark and brooding.

To his surprise, the enemy zombies weren’t just holding their own—they were evolving at a rate that rivaled, maybe even surpassed, Heartland’s forces.

And with the added firepower of human tech like the Dreadnought-class Starcruisers, plus the morale boost from Elegy’s psychic resonance, his troops were starting to falter.

This wasn’t sustainable. It was time to bring in the heavy hitters.

”Velissra,” Endless ordered coldly, ”take out those Lightsaber zombies.”

”Yes, my lord,” came the reply.

The voice belonged to a female Zombie King, her aura fierce and overwhelming. She was clearly SSS-class—one of Endless’s most elite enforcers.

In a blink, Velissra vanished, her form flickering like a shadow in the wind. She was a speed-type Zombie King, a ghost on the battlefield—silent, lethal, and impossible to track. The perfect assassin.

In the span of a heartbeat, she was among the Saber Corps.

The elite zombies didn’t even have time to react. All they felt was a sudden gust of wind—and then death came calling.

Killing intent flooded the air. It was suffocating.

Velissra’s claws slashed toward the neck of one of the elite, aiming to decapitate in a single, clean strike.

CLANG!

A sharp metallic screech rang out.

Her claws were stopped—caught mid-swing by five sleek alloy blades, each one perfectly intercepting her attack.

”Wha—?”

Velissra’s eyes narrowed. She looked up.

Standing before her was a woman with flowing, silky hair and porcelain skin. But it was her eyes that stood out—wild, unhinged, burning with murderous intent.

”Let’s see just how fast you really are…” Laura said with a twisted grin.

Her other hand shot forward, claws aimed straight for Velissra’s throat.

Velissra’s instincts screamed. She jerked back, narrowly dodging the strike.

But Laura wasn’t done.

She raised her arm, and the metal in her palm began to shift—liquid metal morphing into a palm cannon. Energy surged within it, glowing hot.

BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!

A barrage of energy blasts erupted from her hand, exploding mid-air in a storm of fire and shockwaves.

Laura’s figure blurred—she was already moving, closing the gap.

The whole exchange happened in a flash.

Velissra twisted and dodged through the barrage, her movements fluid and precise. But when she looked up again—Laura’s face was right there.

The two Zombie Kings clashed at breakneck speed, darting and striking in a deadly dance. Their movements were so fast, they blurred into streaks of motion, impossible to follow with the naked eye.

”Another Voidborn Undying-level Zombie King?” Endless muttered, watching the battle unfold. His expression darkened.

More and more powerful enemies were showing up. The enemy’s Zombie Kings weren’t just strong—they were evolving fast, and their combat prowess was on par with Heartland’s best.

”Fine then… Let’s see how many of them there really are. Terrax—your turn.”

”You got it, boss,” came a deep, gravelly voice.

The one called Terrax stepped forward—a Voidborn Undying and Endless’s top-tier power-type Zombie King.

He was a walking mountain, over ten feet tall, his body a mass of bulging muscle and raw power. Every movement radiated destruction.

As he walked, the ground beneath him cracked and split, jagged fissures racing outward like lightning.

”Damn… this guy’s a beast,” one of Ethan’s zombies muttered as the horde instinctively backed away. No one dared stand in his path.

Terrax’s target was clear: the Saber Corps—the elite unit of three thousand Lightsaber-wielding zombies.

”Guess being too badass makes you a target,” one of the Saber Corps captains muttered, gripping his weapon tighter. His tone was half-joking, half-resigned.

But before Terrax could reach them, another massive figure stepped into his path.

Bulldozer.

His eyes narrowed, glowing with a savage light.

”I’ll handle this one…”
