Just a Useful Pawn in the Stain Sect

Chapter 75: Chapter 75: Daughter of Destiny

Yu Suzhen let out a sigh, then stood up from the youth she had just drained of his Qi, his body now silent and still.

”Heh heh... I’ve finally done it!”

Sensing the Qi flowing within her, Yu Suzhen nearly burst into tears. After countless hardships in the Yin-Yang Unity Hall, she had finally broken through to the First Layer of Qi Refining.

After that brief loss of control, Yu Suzhen recomposed her expression. Her brow smoothed, and her once-seductive face suddenly turned cold and aloof. Her beautiful eyes now glinted with determination. People always say that youth is fleeting and beauty fades, but she refused to ever see herself grow old.

’I will cultivate! I will achieve eternal life!’

At this moment, the desire for Cultivation in Yu Suzhen’s heart was stronger than ever before. She was going to make it to the very top of the Stain Sect, step by step!

However, she failed to notice the other presence within the Cave Mansion.

Right next to the youth she had just drained dry, an illusory figure, invisible to the mortal eye, stood with his hands behind his back, watching her with great interest.

’Bond of Devouring Fate... the first step is complete.’

’Senior Sister Yu is quite something. The ambition to cultivate was already in her heart. I didn’t even need to deliberately guide her. It all came from within.’

This was for the best.

After all, Lü Yang had not yet reached Foundation Establishment, so he was a far cry from a Foundation-Stage Cultivator who could act without leaving a trace. Any deliberate attempt of him to influence another’s thought would be too easily exposed.

Next, Lü Yang examined himself. His physical body was now dead, having entered the ”Death and Transformation” state of the Lunar Shedding Technique. His Soul, however, had been preserved using the Yin Spirit Shedding Technique he had deduced in his previous life, transforming into a Yin Spirit to maintain his life force.

’Death and Transformation... so this is what it means.’

Lü Yang thought to himself.

At this very moment, his physical body had become like a Pill Furnace, and the three Superior Divine Techniques he mastered in life were now the medicinal ingredients within it.

His body, the furnace. His techniques, the medicine. Heaven and Earth, the craftsman.

The goal was to refine the three top techniques and forge them into the Position of a Corpse Shed Immortal. Only then would he have truly mastered the Lunar Shedding Technique.

’This process is likely to be a long one.’

’And it can’t be completed just by waiting it out. My body is the furnace, but the fire for this uses my Merit and Fortune as fuel.’

This was truly a gamble, seeking life from death. If he burned through it all without successfully forging the Position of a Corpse Shed Immortal, he would be truly dead. Worse, with his Merit and Fortune completely depleted, he wouldn’t even be reborn as a human. His next life would be a beast.

’No wonder I’ve never heard of anyone else in the Stain Sect practicing this Legendary Technique.’

The risks and rewards were completely unbalanced.

One could only imagine the determination of the Cultivator who first created this Legendary Technique. It was an all-or-nothing gamble, leaving no room for retreat.

This... is Cultivation.

Cultivation is to walk alone on your path of Dao. There is only moving forward, never back. You must risk everything for a single chance. Winning is one thing, but if you lose... what unimaginable despair must follow?

At this thought, Lü Yang was so moved that he began to weep.

It was only when he saw the panel of the Centome beside him that he snapped out of it and slapped his forehead. ’I almost forgot. I can just restart. Phew, never mind then.’

’Without a body to protect it, my soul can be easily influenced . I let my emotions get the best of me...’

Lü Yang quickly reined in his thoughts and turned to look at Yu Suzhen.

Though Yu Suzhen appeared unchanged on appearance, she was no longer her own person inside. She had been tainted by Lü Yang’s essence.

The Bond of Devouring Fate had directly turned her into a puppet.

From this point on, no matter how high Yu Suzhen’s Cultivation soared, Lü Yang could drain her of her Cultivation and Qi with a single thought, using it to nourish himself.

’But there’s no rush.’

’Next, I’ll find a plausible way to pass the Bond of Devouring Fate skill to her. Then, I’ll let her plunder the Cultivation of others. Fatten her up like a pig for slaughter.’

At this thought, Lü Yang’s gaze shifted, landing on Liu Xin, who was waiting outside the Cave Mansion.

...

Stain Sect, Yin-Yang Unity Hall.

Yu Suzhen followed behind Liu Xin, her gait as graceful as a lotus, her figure alluring and seductive to the extreme. And yet, her face was a mask of cold indifference that kept everyone at a distance.

This stark contrast, combined with her naturally exquisite features, immediately drew the eyes of many disciples. Even Liu Xin couldn’t resist glancing back at her. A flicker of lust ignited deep in his eyes, but he quickly suppressed it. Important matters came first.

”Junior Sister Yu, this is the Cultivation Technique for our Stain Sect’s Official Disciples, the Manual of Primal Qi. Take it back and study it well. Do not neglect your cultivation.”

”Thank you, Senior Brother.”

Yu Suzhen curtsied slightly. From Liu Xin’s high vantage point, he could see a large expanse of snow-white skin, and a faint, clean fragrance wafted to his nose.

Liu Xin gulped. He suddenly reached out, and in an instant, the beauty was in his arms. A perfectly-timed look of panic appeared on her cold face, and her cry was crisp and pleasant. ”Ah~! Senior Brother, what are you doing? Quick, let go...”

As she spoke, Yu Suzhen began to push against Liu Xin.

However, her small, jade-white hands pressed against Liu Xin’s chest not with force, but so softly it was more like a massage.

Seeing this, Liu Xin’s wicked fire burned even hotter, and he couldn’t help but let out a sinister cackle:

”Junior Sister, you misunderstand. We are merely discussing the Dao...”

With that thought, Liu Xin ignored Yu Suzhen’s ’protests’ and carried her directly into his Cave Mansion.

.....

One day later.

The languor that followed their activity had completely numbed Liu Xin. He had let down all his defenses.

By the time he came to his senses, he found his body lying weakly on the bed, unable to muster even a speck of his Qi!

Then, he saw Yu Suzhen rise gracefully.

Only then did Liu Xin notice a rotting smell coming from his own body. His expression changed drastically in an instant, and he stared at Yu Suzhen with shock and rage.

”You poisoned me!?”

”What did you expect?” Yu Suzhen’s face was expressionless, as if her earlier seductiveness had all been an act. ”You were trying to harm me. Am I not allowed to fight back?”

”How is that possible... You bitch! How did you find out!?”

Liu Xin clenched his teeth, desperately trying to circulate his Qi to suppress the poison, but it was useless. He could only watch helplessly as his body grew weaker and weaker.

Seeing this, Yu Suzhen sneered, ”Of course I didn’t know at first. I just found it suspicious. After all, I was promoted from the Yin-Yang Unity Hall. Logically, you should have given me a Dual Cultivation Technique. Instead, you gave me this strange Manual of Primal Qi. Your intentions were clearly malicious.”

Liu Xin’s face was full of disbelief. ”And for that, you decided to kill me?”

”Why not?” Yu Suzhen flashed a smile. ”A woman’s intuition is very sharp. Besides, even if I was wrong, what would I have lost?”

Hearing this, Liu Xin was instantly choked with anger. ”You...”

”Don’t worry, I won’t kill you that quickly,” Yu Suzhen continued. ”You’re in the Mid-phase of Qi Refining. You must know quite a few powerful techniques.”

”All of that is a valuable resource. It can’t be wasted.”

”After I come back with a real Cultivation Technique, I’ll drain you dry. That way, when you die, your life’s work won’t have been for nothing.”

”...PFFT!”

Before she even finished speaking, Liu Xin, who was already overcome with rage, could no longer hold it in. He spat out a mouthful of hot blood on the spot, then his vision went black, and he passed out.
