Triple X System

He didn’t care about secrecy anymore. He lunged off the ridge, his broad frame descending into the basin like a fallen meteor.”What are you doing?!” Elara screamed in panic, her guard instantly going up as the shadow camouflage shattered.Kyle slammed into the center of the gathering, his raw Strength stat of 306 shattering the stone earth upon landing, creating a massive shockwave that sent a dozen low-tier slimes exploding into green goo.”An intruder!” the insectoid creature clicked in horror, lifting its jagged spear. ”The demon successor! Kill him!””Dark Flames!” Kyle roared, completely giving into the destructive impulse.Instantly, the terrifying, light-eating hellfire of the first great demon erupted from both of his palms, expanding into a wild, uncontrollable inferno that swept across the basin. But as the fire tore through the front lines, the small imp-like creatures didn’t flee. They let out a unified, guttural chant, their eyes glowing an unnatural, dark purple hue.Suddenly, the earth beneath Kyle’s feet violently split open. From the deep fissures, hundreds of thick, blackened chitinous tendrils erupted, coiling around his Abyssal Talon leg and pinning his torso to the ground.[WARNING: Localized entities have triggered a sacrificial planetary array!][WARNING: Ambient Dark Energy density multiplying exponentially. Combat parameters altered!]From the shadows of the ravine walls, three massive, mutated insectoid behemoths—creatures Kyle hadn’t detected during his initial scan—lumbered into the light, their mandibles dripping with a corrosive, green acid that melted the very stone. This gathering wasn’t just a simple assembly of weaklings; it was a highly secured, heavily trapped operational nest.Kyle was completely pinned, his HP ticking downward from the deer’s forced drain, while the massive mutated behemoths raised their razor-sharp scythe limbs, diving straight toward his throat. The truce was over, the parameters had collapsed, and Kyle and Elara were suddenly thrust into yet another unexpected, brutal fight for their absolute lives in the heart of the canyon.

”Get these things off me!” Kyle roared, his voice bouncing off the high canyon walls as the blackened chitinous tendrils wrapped tighter around his torso.

The planetary sacrificial array was working overtime, feeding on the ambient dark energy of the basin to reinforce the structural durability of the bindings. Kyle flexed his muscles, channeling his 306 Strength stat to rip the vines apart. Two tendrils snapped with a sickening wet pop, but three more instantly erupted from the bleeding earth, wrapping securely around his Abyssal Talon leg and locking his dormant shadow essence in place.

Above him, the three massive insectoid behemoths screeched, their mandibles clicking in a grotesque rhythm as they descended upon the center of the basin. The lead behemoth raised a towering, razor-sharp scythe limb, dropping it straight toward Kyle’s exposed throat with enough kinetic force to shatter a boulder.

”Kyle! Move!” Elara screamed from the high ridge.

With her mana core only partially replenished from the morning’s meal, she knew her standard high-tier dark arts wouldn’t do a single thing against these native monsters. Kraken’s fauna was entirely saturated with the planet’s dark energy density; hit them with a dark corruption spell, and they would literally absorb it like a sponge to buff their own attributes.

Forcing her fingers into an advanced, inverted mudra, Elara tapped into her secondary polarity. ”Light Ray!”

A concentrated, piercing beam of brilliant white light shot from her palms, tearing through the dark fog of the ravine. The spell was perfectly aimed, striking the lead behemoth directly across its compound eyes. The creature let out a high-pitched, agonizing squeal, its scythe limb veering off course from the sudden blindness and slamming harmlessly into the stone right next to Kyle’s ear, kicking up a storm of sharp gravel.

But the light affinity magic didn’t just affect the monster.

As the residual splash of the piercing white beam washed over the basin, a portion of the pure light energy clipped Kyle’s shoulder. Being a F-rank demon whose core was fundamentally rooted in abyssal shadows and hellfire, the positive polarity of the light ray acted like a localized splash of acid.

”Argh! Watch where you’re aiming, witch!” Kyle hissed, a searing hiss of white smoke rising from his shoulder as his invisible devil scales sizzled under the impact.

**[WARNING: HOST HAS SUSTAINED POSITIVE-POLARITY DAMAGE!]**

**[HP: 390/1000 ---> 350/1000]**

**[FORCED COMPULSION STATE STATUS: DEER COMPANION VITALITY DRAIN REMAINS ACTIVE AT 80%]**

”I just saved your life, you ungrateful demon!” Elara snapped back, her breath hitching as she scrambled down the steep ridge to find a better angle. ”Maybe if you didn’t lunge into a trapped nest like a brainless barbarian, I wouldn’t have to blind you along with the bugs!”

*’Do not falter, student!’* the Rootcrystal Deer’s telepathic roar echoed through Kyle’s mind, completely unbothered by the friendly fire. *’The sacrilegious filth are still breathing! Burn them! Flay them! Use the talon!’*

The forced compulsion from his soul companion was pushing Kyle’s system to the absolute brink, his heart hammering as the 80% life-force drain constantly pulled his HP downward by the second. He didn’t have time to argue with the witch or the parasite.

”Fine! If you want fire, you get fire!” Kyle growled, his eyes shifting back into a pitch-black state of absolute killing intent.

’Dark Flames!’

Kyle expended 300 points of Demon Energy, summoning the light-eating black hellfire of the first great demon into both of his palms. Instead of projecting them outward, he slammed his flaming hands directly onto the chitinous tendrils binding his legs. The high-tier unholy fire acted as a conceptual counter to the planetary array, instantly burning through the dark energy saturation of the vines and turning them into crumbling black ash.

Free of the constraints, Kyle didn’t waste a single millisecond. Leveraging the 15% baseline movement speed boost from his permanently infused right leg, he launched himself forward using his *Light Combat Skill*.

”Flash Kill!”

Kyle vanished into a streak of blurred kinetic motion, reappearing directly beneath the chest of the second insectoid behemoth. He didn’t just punch it; he focused the 15% shadow affinity damage boost from his *Abyssal Talon Manifest* into his right leg. He executed a brutal, rising template kick straight into the creature’s armored underbelly.

*BOOM!*

The passive 25% physical defense ignore from his talon leg allowed the kinetic strike to bite deep past the behemoth’s heavy shell. On hit, the limb applied a permanent stack of [Soul Rend], causing the creature’s spiritual essence to leak outward.

**[Passive Proc Triggered: Abyssal Reflex!]**

**[20% Chance success! Shadow claw strike deployed, dealing 120% extra damage and inflicting [Hemorrhage] for 5 seconds!]**

A massive, ghostly shadow claw tore through the wound, causing a torrent of dark, corrosive blood to spray across the basin floor. The behemoth screeched, its massive frame collapsing onto its side as the continuous hemorrhage effect drained its remaining vitality.

But the remaining small imp-like creatures and slimes were already moving to compensate. Recognizing Kyle as a lethal threat, a cluster of five imps formed a tight circle, their hands locking together as they channeled a localized dark barrier to protect the third behemoth, while a swarm of mutated insectoids lunged toward Elara on the lower ridge.

”Get away from me!” Elara yelled, her hands weaving frantically. ”Energy Beam!”

A wide, sweeping torrent of brilliant white energy erupted from her chest matrix, designed to obliterate the approaching swarm. The spell was incredibly powerful, completely vaporizing the low-tier insectoids into white dust. However, because the basin was narrow and the terrain was a closed-in ravine, the wide energy beam expanded outward, bouncing off the basalt crags and filling the entire combat zone with a chaotic, unguided storm of bouncing light particles.

”Elara, stop blasting the entire goddamn field!” Kyle roared.

He tried to utilize his *Shadow Walk* to slip past the imp barrier, expending 100 Shadow Energy to enter his incorporeal shadowy figure state. But the moment his shadow form stepped into the clearing, one of the bouncing fragments of Elara’s Energy Beam crossed his path.

The interaction was catastrophic. The pure light energy collided with his shadow state, instantly destabilizing the skill and ripping him forcefully back into his physical form. The back-critical feedback tore through his internal mana circuits.

**[CRITICAL INTERFERENCE: SHADOW WALK SYSTEM FAILIURE!]**

**[HOST HAS SUSTAINED HIGH-LIGHT DISRUPTION DISCHARGE!]**

**[HP: 350/1000 ---> 210/1000]**

**[Demon Energy Remaining: 1000/2500]**

Kyle fell to one knee, coughing up a thick spray of dark demonic blood onto the stone, his vision violently spinning as his HP indicators flashed an alarming crimson warning light. The chaotic, interactive nature of fighting alongside a light-wielding witch on a dark-saturated planet was turning into an absolute nightmare. They were actively sabotaging each other’s mechanics without even trying.

”I didn’t do it on purpose!” Elara yelled, her face turning pale as she saw his hit points drop to a critical threshold. ”The spell bounced off the basalt structure! Stand up, demon! The third one is right behind you!”

Kyle didn’t need the warning. The third insectoid behemoth, shielded by the imps’ dark barrier, lunged through the dust. It brought both of its massive scythe limbs down in a dual-guillotine strike designed to sever Kyle’s head from his shoulders.

[Host! Danger! If you do not evade, the system firewall will fail to preserve core life functions!] Snow’s voice rang inside his skull with a deafening alarm.

’I’m not evading,’ Kyle growled internally, his 245 Will stat overriding the absolute agony in his muscles. ’If I turn my back, the witch gets crushed next. System Shop! Purchase Stamina Regeneration!’

**[20 XXX Points Expended. Stamina fully restored to maximum pool capacity!]**

With his physical energy forcefully snapped back to 100%, Kyle thrust his right leg upward to intercept the falling scythes. The invisible devil scales on his skin rior-flared to their absolute structural limits as he deployed his raw physical defense ignore modifiers.

*CLANG!*

The metallic scythes slammed directly against his Abyssal Talon leg. The defensive plates held, but the sheer weight of the behemoth’s 300+ strength scale pushed Kyle back into the dirt, the stone cracking open beneath his spine as he held the massive blades at bay with pure, unyielding willpower.

”Elara!” Kyle roared, his teeth covered in dark blood as he strained against the guillotine. ”The imps! Break their barrier with your light! I can’t burn this thing while they are reinforcing its matrix!”

Elara didn’t hesitate. Recognizing that their lives were completely intertwined in this micro-second, she squeezed the very last drops of mana from her empty core. She leaped off the ridge, landing directly behind the circle of imps.

”Taste the light, you wretched worms!” she screamed, her hands slamming onto the earth. ”Light Ray: Max Output!”

A blinding flash of pure, positive polarity energy erupted from the ground beneath the imps. The low-quality dark barrier they were maintaining shattered instantly upon contact with the high-intensity light magic, and the small creatures were blown backward, their dark energy arrays completely frying from the polarity inversion.

The moment the barrier dropped, the third behemoth’s defensive attributes plummeted by 50%.

”My turn,” Kyle hissed from beneath the scythes.
