Ning An's Wild Wish System

I was carrying a small suitcase at the time and met the company commander Liang Erxi.

Liang Erxi held my hand tightly, his face extremely excited:

”Welcome, welcome! Our company has been eagerly hoping for the higher-ups to assign us an instructor, waiting like stars and moon, and today we’ve finally got our wish!”

Liang Erxi’s first impression on me was that of an honest peasant.

His face was dark, his body tightly strung, standing at about one meter seventy. His eyes weren’t large, but his lips were thick, tightly pressed into a line.

In one glance, I knew he must’ve joined the army with a wreath of sorghum flowers.

”Instructor, you look like you’re only twenty-six or twenty-seven.”

”Not at all, I’m already thirty-two.”

”So we’re the same age, both born in the Year of the Rat.” He smiled sincerely, ”But you look at least seven or eight years younger than me.”

”Alright, alright, you’re just a field mouse at best.”

Hearing this, Liang Erxi laughed and introduced to me, ”This is our company’s drama actor, Artillery Platoon Leader Wang Wenxi.”

Afterwards, Liang Erxi introduced the other platoon leaders in the company to me.

With the sound of the emergency assembly call blowing, I understood that this was meant to show my face in the company.

”Comrades!”

Liang Erxi’s mouth couldn’t contain his upturned smile, as if he had incredibly good news, ”This is our new instructor.”

Thunderous applause erupted, and everyone looked at me eagerly.

”Comrades, Instructor Zhao volunteered to be stationed with our second company! He comes from the large provincial agency, bringing a wealth of work experience.”

His gaze turned to the troop, different from the earlier joy, now his tone was serious:

”Comrades, in your thoughts, you mustn’t have any misunderstandings! Instructor Zhao is neither here for some training nor just to experience life; he is formally appointed as our second company’s instructor!”

”All of his documentation has been transferred over, and from today onwards, you should consult with him on matters and resolutely obey the instructor’s commands!”

”Please let the instructor speak!”

Again, thunderous applause.

”Comrades! I... I am not very skilled, lacking experience, but... I am willing to work alongside everyone to ensure our company’s work is successful.”

”I... I have finished speaking.”

Actually, I’m normally quite eloquent, but that day, I really couldn’t say much.

All I remember is that my heart was beating extremely fast, and the wind was strong.

Probably because of the company commander’s words, ”Instructor Zhao is neither here for some training nor just to experience life; he is formally appointed...”

As I mentioned earlier, I was born into a military family; my mother is a colonel.

At that time, my wife and I rarely saw each other, and it wasn’t a viable situation.

My mother came up with an idea, letting me train at the grassroots level for a few months.

With this experience, I could be openly transferred back.

And the military unit I went to, the person in charge had the nickname ”Thunder God.”

He was decisive and acted quickly, with no tolerance for nonsense, didn’t care whose account he challenged.

I worried that once I went there, I might not be able to be transferred back in a few months.

But my mother assured me, stating she had saved ”Thunder God’s” life on the battlefield, so he would show some favor.

Through connections, I became the second company’s instructor.

Of course, all of this was kept under wraps from everyone, from company commander Liang Erxi to ordinary soldiers.

Kangle nodded knowingly and immediately asked a crucial question:

”So, were you transferred back then?”
