At the same time, the hazy cloud layer in the sky dissipated, and an even more dazzling and brilliant moonlight spilled into the kitchen.

Under the bright and clear light, Lynn got a clear look at the figure.

The first thing that caught his eye was that unique pair of legs.

The athletic lines and perfect proportions of the thighs and the base of the buttocks displayed formidable explosive power.

The recurved lower legs were slender and well-proportioned, covered with fine, dense fuzz.

Huge wolf claws replaced human feet, and from his angle, Lynn could even see the pink paw pads.

Between the strong and powerful legs, a huge, fluffy tail was slowly swaying to some sort of rhythm, bringing up a visible current of wind every time it swept through the air.

Moving his gaze slowly upward, Lynn’s sight rested on that wild waist, which clearly displayed muscular grooves under the light and shadow.

Looking at that smooth lower abdomen exposed outside the animal skin clothing, he began to ponder a question—

Wouldn’t exposing it like that cause her to catch a cold and get diarrhea?

”Mmph! What are you looking at?!”

The wolf tribe girl named Iyanna chewed the ham in her mouth in large bites while warily looking at Lynn, who was holding a kitchen knife.

On top of her head, a pair of furry, pointed ears twitched slightly, seemingly capturing every tiny vibration in the air.

Seeing such a scene, Lynn, who had originally been pondering what commonality this person — who could display a system pop-up window — had with Elysia, flew into a rage.

”Stop it right now! Do you know how expensive ham is currently?!”

His suddenly erupting anger instantly caused Iyanna’s ears to flatten backward.

But very quickly, the wolf tribe girl let out a low, food-guarding growl.

”This is Iyanna’s prey! I won’t give it to a human!

Humans are all bad people! Why do you keep breaking into Iyanna’s home?!”

Lynn laughed out of sheer anger.

This castle was the private property he had inherited. According to the castle doctrine, the other party had already committed illegal trespassing.

And now she was making false countercharges?

”I’m the new Lord of Blackstone officially appointed by Milan. If you don’t stop infringing upon my private property right now, I’ll...”

What would he do?

That girl brimming with wild beauty most likely had an educational level akin to burning books and burying scholars.

Lynn, who understood legal provisions very well, had encountered an intruder who might not even know how to read. Rashly threatening her seemed like it would instead put himself in danger instead.

As such, a normal person would have chosen to take emergency evasive action and evacuate immediately.

But Lynn wasn’t a normal person.

Looking at the piece of ham deformed by the pressing of the other’s wolf claws, his heart ached so much that he couldn’t breathe.

That was two catties of high-quality ham!

In a godforsaken place like Blackstone Fief, how much charcoal would he have to sell to buy another ham like that.

”Then I’ll fight you to the death, ahhhh!”

Lynn slammed the kitchen knife onto the table in bitter agony.

”That’s my property! This is robbery! You’re embezzling my sacred and inviolable assets!”

Iyanna couldn’t understand those complex words, but she understood that the other party seemed to care a lot about this piece of her prey.

Thus, right in front of Lynn’s face, with a provocative posture, she opened her seemingly small mouth wide.

Crunch!

This bite took off one-third of the remaining meat, swallowing it whole along with the bone.

After doing all this, she flicked her tail smugly.

”Ahhhh! No!”

Lynn fell backward onto the windowsill, weeping bitterly like the incompetent husbands in certain plots from his previous life.

Suddenly, those golden vertical pupils that had been filled with smugness abruptly contracted.

The wolf girl, who was holding the remaining meat in her mouth, whipped her head around and looked towards the kitchen door.

”So noisy, you didn’t dismantle our kitchen, did you?”

Elysia’s voice, accompanied by the faint light of a candle, slowly came from the direction of the dining room.

”Elysia! Save our ham!”

Lynn roared, his eyes widening so much that they nearly popped out, and then he raised his hands to tightly grab hold of the window behind him.

His reaction was extremely fast, or rather, this was what he had intended from the very beginning.

The other party most likely came in through the window, so she might also leave through it.

And Lynn’s judgment was correct.

The wolf girl, seemingly smelling the aura of danger, contracted her thighs and exerted force, launching herself from the roof beam like an agile beast and heading straight for the window she had previously sneaked into the kitchen through.

But unfortunately, beastly instinct was slower than rational judgment.

”You have nowhere left to run... Ugh ah!”

Lynn’s body, which was blocking the window, was violently struck by elastic flesh and blood in an instant, nearly causing him to vomit out the black bread he had managed to stuff down earlier with great difficulty.

Then, he felt his neck being suddenly cross-clamped by two scalding hot objects resembling hydraulic presses.

A strong, primal fragrance and a sense of suffocation assailed him together.

By the time he realized he was being strangled by the other party’s flexibly shifting body, he had already instantly lost the ability to resist.

Thump!

Lynn, firmly suppressed by the other’s scissor leg hold, crashed heavily to the ground, while the instigator rode on his back in the posture of a victor.

”What was that sound?”

Hearing the commotion, Elysia held up the candle and swiftly rushed into the kitchen.

Then she saw a demi-human, clearly from the Frost Kingdom, attacking Lynn.

At the same time, Theodore, attracted by the loud noise, also hurriedly rushed over.

Seeing the scene before his eyes, he cried out in alarm.

”That woman beat Lynn to his knees. She must be trying to capture him and take him back to be a hard-labor slave!”

Because of its sparse population, the Frost Kingdom, composed of scattered clan tribes, had a tradition of plundering populations to fill their labor force, which was also one of the reasons Blackstone Fief was disdained.

”Growl...”

The wolf girl, who was holding the ham in her mouth, rode on the back of the half-dead Lynn while warily staring at Elysia.

The intuition in her bloodline told her that this woman was very dangerous.

And the truth was indeed so.

”Let him go!”

The silver-haired witch gave her final ultimatum with a slightly hoarse, low shout.

Seeing that the other party had no intention of stopping whatsoever, she raised the candle in her hand.

The flame that had originally adhered to the wick leaped and rose up as if it had a life of its own, gathering into the palm of her left hand.

After that, an intense firelight began to surge.

【E-Rank Magic Fluctuation, Explosion Magic is taking shape】

Looking at the system’s pop-up window, Lynn hurriedly squeezed out the last bit of air in his lungs.

”Calm down... Don’t burn... the ham...”

”You’re still thinking about the ham!”

While complaining, Elysia also realized that her magic would very likely hurt Lynn, so she was merely gathering energy to intimidate the other party.

Seeing that the situation had already reached a stalemate, and his Employee Number One was clearly sweating profusely due to controlling her magic to stay condensed without firing…

Lynn realized he had to do something.

But in his current state, what could he do?

No, he couldn’t do anything... could he?

Gently lifting the fingers of his right hand, Lynn made a strange expression.

Because there seemed to be a furry thing constantly sweeping just above his right hand.

‘Is that so? I see.’

Lynn took a deep breath, then he abruptly raised his right hand, found the right timing, and ruthlessly grabbed hold of that restless furry object.

To be precise, it was the other party’s tail.

Then, he gave it a forceful squeeze.

”Nngh!”

T/N - I noticed that I mistakenly put ”14 weeks” in my announcement in Chapter 7 yesterday. I corrected it to ”2 weeks” as I intended. Just to clarify, we’ll be releasing one chapter a day for 14 days starting yesterday. I hope you guys enjoy! ♥️ (05/19/26)

Lol, Employee Number Two is pretty wild, huh? I wonder if grabbing the tail is some sort of courtship ritual to the demi-humans of this world? Wouldn’t be the first time I’ve read such a setting. 🤔
