A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 620: Chapter 620: Stop Torturing Each Other!

About fifteen minutes later, she came out of the bathroom and saw Jiang Jingheng with his back to her, taking off his clothes.

She was just about to look away when something caught her eye.

One glance and she discovered his originally fair back was covered in bruises, terrifyingly so.

She suddenly remembered something, her expression changed slightly, these injuries...

Upon hearing the bathroom door open, Jiang Jingheng knew she had come out.

He tossed the clothes he had removed onto the sofa and turned around to see her standing behind him with wet hair draped over her shoulders.

He frowned slightly, ”Why didn’t you dry your hair?”

Mu Yan seemed not to hear, walking straight to his back, her gaze fixed intently on it.

Noticing what she was looking at, Jiang Jingheng’s brow furrowed slightly, almost imperceptibly. He turned around and said again, ”Go dry your hair.”

Suddenly, her hand landed on his shoulder, pulling him to turn around.

Her strength wasn’t great, but to him, she was omnipotent.

Even if he was reluctant, he would not defy her.

Her trembling hand fell on his back, gently stroking it.

”Does it hurt?” Her voice seemed to be trembling.

Jiang Jingheng’s brow pinched slightly, and he said calmly, ”It doesn’t hurt.”

He reminded again, ”Go dry your hair first.”

Mu Yan ignored him, her hand continued stroking his back.

In some places, the purple was very deep, highlighting how serious the injury had been at the time.

But when he needed her most, what was she doing?

She did nothing for him, even thought about cutting off contact with him. How sad and distressed he must have been when he couldn’t reach her.

At this moment, her tears could no longer be controlled and began to fall.

Both heartache and guilt surged, making her wish she could take this pain for him.

Jiang Jingheng sensed something was wrong with her emotions, turned his head, and saw her face full of tears.

His delicate brows furrowed slightly, ”Why are you crying out of nowhere?”

He raised his hand to wipe her tears, but they flowed like a breached dam, unstoppable.

Suddenly, his body stiffened, the person in front of him suddenly hugged him, burying her head in his chest.

Soon, he felt a dampness spreading across his chest.

He lifted his hand that hung down, wrapped it around her, and tightened his embrace.

He kissed the top of her head, his expression extremely gentle, ”There now, don’t cry, your tears are breaking my heart.”

His words made Mu Yan cry even harder.

”I’m a fool, I’m an idiot, I’m a bad person, boohoo...”

With every word of self-blame, she cried heartbreakingly, ignoring Jiang Jingheng’s attempts to comfort her.

Her crying made Jiang Jingheng feel bad as well, all he could do was hold her.

He couldn’t bear to see her sad, but he had to let her feel his pain, understand how important she was to him.

After a while, Mu Yan cried until she was tired. Jiang Jingheng placed her on the sofa and helped her wipe her tears.

Mu Yan looked at his slightly sharp chin, thinking about the feeling of hugging his waist just now, clearly, he had lost a lot of weight.

She sniffled and said, ”How did you get so thin?”

”Did I?”

”Yes!” Mu Yan’s freshly controlled tears fell again.

Jiang Jingheng took a tissue and helped wipe away her tears, ”There now, don’t cry, if you keep crying you’ll hurt your eyes.”

He stroked her cheek, frowned and said, ”You say I’ve lost weight, look at yourself, I worked so hard to get you to gain some weight and now you’re back to how you were. I entrusted my lady to you, not for you to mistreat her.”

”I didn’t.” Mu Yan quietly defended herself.

She wanted to eat well too, but first, she wasn’t acclimatized to the place, and besides, the food there wasn’t good, and most of all, she missed him.

She could guess why he suddenly lost weight so drastically, she was the culprit.

She seemed to have figured something out, looked at him seriously, and said, ”Let’s not torture each other anymore in the future.”
