Immortality by Inheriting Friends' Legacies

Chapter 31: Chapter 31: Breakthrough Failed?

Returning home from Zhiyuan Hall, Fang Xu played around with that strange staff in his courtyard for a while. However, without a matching Staff Technique Secret Manual, he could only practice basic chopping and smashing motions.

After wielding it for a few moments, he noticed that the ”little cuties” in his body had gradually stopped working. He returned to his room, carefully sensing the refinement progress of his internal organs.

Lu Zhiyuan had said that when Refining Viscera reached perfection, one would be able to feel the existence of the acupoints in their body.

He had actually felt this a few days ago. But since the little cuties transformed from the Divine Attendant were still meticulously polishing his organs, he wasn’t in a hurry to break through.

After sensing his body carefully for a long time, Fang Xu secretly made a decision. ”I should take five more Qi Blood Pills, just to see if there are any remaining flaws in my organ refinement.

”If I truly have reached Refining Viscera Perfection, this Qi Blood Power can serve as a reward for the Divine Attendants, allowing them to devour it and strengthen themselves.”

Swallowing the five Qi Blood Pills, Fang Xu sat cross-legged on his bed and carefully sensed the changes in his body.

Time trickled by. It wasn’t until 7 p.m. that the little cuties wrapping around his internal organs completely stopped moving.

He could clearly feel that the Qi Blood Power transformed from the Qi Blood Pills hadn’t been fully consumed. Fang Xu understood that, at this very moment, his internal organs must have been completely corrected and reached Refining Viscera Perfection.

Slowly opening his eyes, he saw that the sky outside had already darkened. He wasn’t in a rush to break through.

He got up, went to the courtyard, and selected a piece of Blood Food. After washing it clean, he set it to stew. He then practiced his unarmed martial arts in the courtyard for a while. Only after the Blood Food was fully cooked and eaten clean did he take a shower and return to his room.

He dug out the Divination God Treasure from underground and took out his last five remaining Qi Blood Pills. With everything ready, he finally prepared for his breakthrough.

With the help of the Divine Attendant Pill and his own accumulation, Fang Xu felt that five Qi Blood Pills were enough for him to open his first Acupoint Secret Treasure in a single push and break through to the Martial Disciple realm.

”All living things are the derivation and alternation of the Dao, and spirit is the essence of the Dao...”

Swallowing the five Qi Blood Pills, Fang Xu slowly unfurled the Beast Hide of the Divination God Treasure. His entire being instantly entered the Realm of Inner Observation.

With the aid of the Divination God Treasure, he could clearly ”see” that all one hundred and eight acupoints in his body were emitting a faint glow.

At the same time, a distinct feeling arose in his heart. Fang Xu knew that the most suitable acupoint for him to open right now was the Inner Acupoint located on his right arm.

The Inner Acupoint was located exactly three inches straight up from the center of his wrist crease. According to his perception, out of all one hundred and eight acupoints in his entire body, the barrier of this specific acupoint was the weakest.

His consciousness immediately arrived at the location of the Inner Acupoint. Just as Fang Xu was about to mobilize the Qi Blood Power within his body to forcefully smash through the Inner Acupoint’s barrier, the scenery before his consciousness suddenly changed drastically!

The originally faintly glowing Inner Acupoint suddenly expanded rapidly, subsequently forming a massive vortex!

Fang Xu was horrified. However, before he could figure out what was happening, his consciousness was directly sucked into that vortex!

In the next moment, when his consciousness regained clarity, Fang Xu distinctly felt that his mind was situated within a Chaotic Space devoid of front, back, left, right, up, or down!

Observing the slowly churning Qi of Chaos around him, Fang Xu couldn’t help but think in surprise, ”Is this... the Acupoint Space?

”Are other people’s acupoints like this too? Or is it only mine?”

As his consciousness pondered, his mind stirred slightly. He strolled forward slowly through the void. After bypassing a dense cluster of Qi of Chaos, Fang Xu was suddenly stunned by the sight before him!

A gate!

A massive Stone Sect spanning across the space had suddenly appeared before him!

The Stone Sect exuded a desolate, primordial aura from time immemorial, causing Fang Xu’s consciousness to tremble uncontrollably!

Standing before the Stone Sect and looking up at it, he actually felt an inferiority complex akin to a tiny ant gazing up at a colossal dragon.

Consciousness was intangible; otherwise, Fang Xu felt he would currently be standing there dumbfounded with his mouth hanging open.

”Does breaking through to the Martial Disciple realm mean I have to shatter this Stone Sect!?” he wondered.

As soon as this thought emerged, Fang Xu felt like he was going insane!

He could genuinely feel that all of his strength wasn’t even worth mentioning in front of this colossal Stone Sect. Trying to break the Stone Sect was no different from an ant trying to shake a massive oak tree.

”What should I do now?”

With his consciousness halted before the Stone Sect, Fang Xu fell into despair. ”Whose breakthrough to the Martial Disciple realm involves facing a heaven-spanning barrier like this?”

After pondering for a long time, he looked up at the Stone Sect again. Fang Xu still felt somewhat unwilling to accept this in his heart. He refused to believe that he would be blocked outside the threshold of a Martial Disciple just like this.

”A great man once said that all powerful enemies are just paper tigers! I want to see if this damn door is really that sturdy!”

Having made up his mind, he immediately mobilized all the Blood Qi Power he could muster in his entire body and blasted it toward the Stone Sect!

The Qi Blood Power transformed from the five Qi Blood Pills, combined with his past accumulation, was directed by his consciousness. It morphed into a massive fist nearly a thousand feet large and violently bombarded the vast Stone Sect!

BANG!

A massive commotion echoed through this space, stirring up the surrounding Qi of Chaos and sending it churning.

His consciousness was nearly scattered by the resulting shockwave of rebound force.

As the Qi of Chaos gradually settled, Fang Xu forcefully endured the tearing pain in his consciousness and looked at the Stone Sect once again.

”Hehe...”

When he saw that the Stone Sect didn’t have even the slightest crack, Fang Xu couldn’t help but smile bitterly.

”Forget it! Perhaps I’m destined to be an ordinary person for the rest of my life.”

Despair rose in his heart as his consciousness gradually withdrew from the Acupoint World. Just as his consciousness was about to return to his main body, a surging power suddenly gushed out from the vortex formed by the Inner Acupoint in front of him!

After this power appeared, it rapidly flooded into every inch of Fang Xu’s limbs and bones, beginning to slowly transform his body.

”This...” Sensing the changes in his body, Fang Xu was dumbfounded!

”Did I successfully open my acupoint and break through to become a Martial Disciple?

”That’s not right!

”That Stone Sect clearly wasn’t broken. If I successfully broke through, then what was that Stone Sect in the Acupoint Space?”

Slightly opening his eyes, Fang Xu looked at the Divination God Treasure in front of him in confusion. Suddenly, he noticed a specific line of text on it.

”Thus, an acupoint should be considered a realm; harboring mountains, harboring seas, harboring the vastness of all creations...”

”Could it be that the changes in my acupoint are all because of this Divination God Treasure?

”Did the Divination God Treasure alter my acupoint into that kind of state?

”In my past life, the Buddhist Sect had the Jiezhi Space theory of ’A world in a single flower, a Bodhi in a single leaf.’ Could it be that now, a world is truly hidden within my acupoint?”

Suppressing the shock in his heart, Fang Xu continued to read the subsequent contents of the Divination God Treasure.

After some difficult deciphering, he finally managed to understand a few things roughly. He could basically confirm that the anomaly in his acupoint was caused by the Divination God Treasure.

According to the later sections of the Divination God Treasure, this cultivation method indeed treated the acupoints as worlds. It divided the Acupoint Space into two layers. The outer layer was the secret treasure power that a normal Martial Artist could mobilize upon breaking through.

And behind the Stone Sect lay the world mentioned by the Divination God Treasure.

Moreover, wanting to break that Stone Sect to open the Acupoint World was not something that could be achieved with brute force.

A Cultivator needed to nurture a Life Weapon within the acupoint. Only after the Life Weapon took its initial form could they rely on its power to break the Stone Sect and successfully open the Acupoint World.

Seeing this, Fang Xu couldn’t help but shake his head with a bitter smile.

Before reaching Refining Viscera Perfection, because he had been ”taught a lesson” by the Divination God Treasure, he hadn’t paid attention to its later contents. This had caused his Dao heart to nearly collapse when he was facing the Stone Sect just now.

Fortunately, he had now broken through without any real danger.

Feeling the changes occurring in his body, Fang Xu couldn’t help but sigh in admiration. ”It feels incredibly good to become a Martial Disciple.”
