Inheriting a Lost Bloodline, My First Task is to have heirs?!

Chapter 574: Chapter 574 - Waking up with a dash of drama

After the four hours inside my room, I finally let Artak go and have his peaceful sleep. I turned the time conversion back to normal then I decided to take a nap next to him. My nap only lasted for a few hours but I woke up just as refreshed as a person who have slept for a full 8 hours. I really admire the wonders of this body’s high stamina and speedy recovery rates.

Though I was already awake, I did not get out of bed and waited for my new husband to wake up naturally. He at least deserves this much good quality of rest for his obedience and cooperation throughout the time we are making our cubs.

From all the meetings and personal conversations I have had with my men before, these beastmen maybe one of the most scared ones and their insecurity is very severe. They have very slow self-esteem that they have simply accepted the fact that they aren’t worthy enough for their women to stay with them, that they just have to settle as single fathers or that they are just bound for death.

I know I have told them repeatedly that I will treat them well from now on and also take responsibility for everything they and the children will need but in the end, those are just mere words. Seeing it through actions would still mean more to them when it comes to relationships. I may only be able to improve the lives of the men in my family but maybe, others who will see it may be inspired to treat their husbands even a bit better.

It took some time for Artak to wake up, proof of how strenuous our activities were for the last 48 hours. Throughout that time after that, though he may be deeply asleep, his grip around my waist never loosened one bit. At times, he even flinches and his grip tightens as if his fears are subconsciously being shown by his bodily actions.

Whenever it feels like he is getting scared, I caress his back, kiss him on the forehead and hug him back tightly. This has been the most effective way to calm him down so far.

After several hours, some time in the wee hours of the morning, Artak finally woke up, with a start at that. His eyes were wide and glowing then he immediately scanned his surroundings in high alert before his eyes finally landed on my face.

He looked shocked at first then his eyes turned misty and his face scrubched up abot as if he was about to cry. I panicked and held on to his face and asked, ”Why are you crying? Are you hurt anywhere?”

He shook his head and grabbed my cheeks as well then he gave me a soft but lingering kiss on the lips. My eyes widened with his out of the blue show of initiative for intimacy. My surprise only lasted but I let him do what he wants with no complaints.

After he had his fill, he parted his lips with mine. I then asked him again what seems to be the problem but he simply murmured, ”Thank you” repeatedly while crying.

I seemed to have realized something as he looked down on his abdominal area and couldn’t help but ask him, ”Don’t tell me you already know?” His face showed confusion as if asking ”What do you mean by that?”

With a still confused face, he spoke all of a sudden,”I always thought that mating with someone will make me end up half dead the next day. You know like wounds, bruises, alone and all that.”

The more he spoke, the more confused I became but nevertheless, it confirmed my assumption to be true. Now I am sure that we are definitely not talking about the same thing earlier.

I looked at him with a naughty smile and replied, ”What do you mean? Your body has marks but they are not wounds. I did tire you out but I do not have any intentions to leave you half dead after the deed was over and done with.”

He nodded his head and replied, ”That’s why I said thank you. You only ever left love marks. You even made sure I have something to eat and drink so I can keep my strength. You also waited for me to wake up then... you stayed.”

I now fully understood what his repeated gratitude earlier was for. If I was narrow minded and did not know their back stories, I would have thought that he has doubts about my sincerity towards him.

I quickly hugged him tight and murmured, ”You are my husband now and I told you I would wait for you. This is our bedroom. Even if I had errands to do, I would still wait for you to wake up or worse I would rouse you up and tell you that I needed to leave early. Does that mean you never believed me from the start?”

His face paled as he started to explain that it was not what he meant. He then apologized profusely and before he even started crying again and laughed that I was just making fun of him.

Artak glared at me and he said that I was mean and was bullying him. I was still laughing when I replied, ”I have been bullying for 2 days but you are only complaining by this time. Is it because the bullying now is not as pleasurable as my method before?”

Artak’s eyes widened and his face reddened as he said in gritted teeth, ”You perverted woman”. I nodded my head and with an innocent face I replied, ”I am always a pervert whenever I am with my men. You are not the first man who noticed and called me that.”

His jaw dropped and a look of disbelief was shown on his face. He shook his head and simply changed the topic to something else. He asked, ”You asked me a while if I already know? Know what?”

I answered nonchalantly, ”Oh, it was a different thing. We are talking about two separate matters.” He still looked curious as he asked ”And what is that matter exactly?”

I answered bluntly, ”I just thought at that moment when you cried after you just woke up that maybe you already felt them.” He couldn’t help but ask ”Huh? Them?”

I chuckled and replied, ”I never thought that doing it a lot of times will make youbforgetful. Have you forgotten one of our reasons why we are here? We finally got our cubs.”

Instead of saying something, he started crying again. I never thought that this brave and cool leopard would actually be such a crybaby.

His mouth formed an ”O” while his face turned blank in disbelief. I heard him ask some broken phrases to himself, ”How did?” and ”That’s not”.

While he is processing the new information, I went ahead and confirm the earlier information as I said, ”You already have cubs with me. There is four of them.”

With the new information, Artak’s tears just came like a flood. He hugged me and buried his face on the crook of my next. With that another wave of murmurs can be heard which said ”Thank you”.

I caressed his back gently to calm him down. He then started to promise that he will take good care of his body and the cubs with a little smile on his face.

To distract him and stop him from crying, I told him that he should start thinking of names since there was a bunch of babies in one go. I also revealed that there should be one female cub and 3 male cubs on the way.

With the task I gave him, he actually stopped crying and started thinking seriously. Naming one’s children has always been an important task but at the same time, it is a difficult one.

I then started telling him that he has to have positive thoughts and feelings as much as possible. He also has to eat well in regular intervals. Lastly, I told him that he may feel a different type of hunger once in a while and that he should let me know so I can feed him.

When he heard the last statement, he looked at me with a questioning look. I did not wait for him to ask verbally and just said, ”You would feel that strong need to be with me in an intimate manner. It simply means that the cubs are demanding some nourishment from me and you as they grow,.”

His face turned red upon realizing what I was pertaining to. He still nodded his head in a cute manner. I smiled and gave him another to round of kisses and cuddles before we washed up.

After washing up, I told him that we will be leaving soon and that I would be bringing him to Tadhana with so he can set up his new home and meet the other husbands. He nodded his head with a happy smile.

He was crying a while ago. Now he is smiling happily. Is the hormonal changes already kicking in?
