”Heh heh, what’s with this Flower Sect? They really know how to pick their environment, living somewhere this nice.”

In the endless sea of flowers, a slim figure wrapped in black night gear looked at the breathtaking scenery before her and couldn’t help but let out a mischievous grin.

Seizing a moment when no one was paying attention, she began darting and weaving within a formation that ordinary Dou Zun experts couldn’t even enter easily. Yet the guards in the distance, who were cautiously scanning their surroundings, failed to notice her presence at all.

From time to time, sunlight from above would fall on her curvy figure.

If Qing Xian were here, she would immediately recognize that this person was none other than Zi Yan, whom she had ambushed earlier. After successfully ambushing Xiao Yan, Zi Yan had immediately rushed all the way to the Flower Sect in the northwest region of Central Plains.

Her purpose here was obvious — to take revenge for Qing Xian’s previous sneak attack on them.

”Whoosh~”

As the girl sprinted through the flower sea, after a dozen minutes she came across a middle-aged woman playing around in the flowers together with four beautiful female disciples.

”So the information was right, this Flower Sect only accepts female disciples, huh?”

Zi Yan touched her soft chin as she watched the five women ahead.

”Wait, what does that have to do with me?”

Realizing she was drifting off-topic, she shook her head and continued observing the five.

”Judging from their auras… that older one should be a One-Star Dou Zun, and the other four are only Dou Zong. I just advanced to Two-Star Dou Zun not long ago. With a sneak attack… yeah, this should work.”

After comparing their strengths with her own and finding no problem, Zi Yan crouched low and silently approached the Flower Sect disciples.

”Void Fist!”

The moment she reached a suitable distance, she let out a crisp shout and burst out from the flower bushes right beside the middle-aged woman.

At the same time, purple light erupted from her jade-like fist like a volcanic explosion. In an instant, a massive purple dragon of light, dozens of meters long, shot out from her palm with fierce wind force and an overwhelming draconic pressure.

In the blink of an eye, it smashed directly into the completely unprepared middle-aged woman.

”Pfft!”

Caught off guard, the woman — who was already one whole star below Zi Yan — was blasted backward. The sudden attack stunned the remaining four female disciples, leaving them frozen in place and unable to react.

But Zi Yan had no intention of sparing them just because they froze. After sending the middle-aged woman flying, she swiftly turned toward the remaining four and gently clenched her jade-like hand.

With that motion, the space around those disciples suddenly fluctuated violently. A heartbeat later, the fluctuating space twisted sharply. Instantly, the bodies of the four Flower Sect disciples — who were only Dou Zong — stretched rapidly under the spatial distortion.

”Bang!”

With a dull explosion, their bodies burst into several clouds of blood mist.

Zi Yan didn’t even bother looking at them. After killing those disciples with spatial strangulation, she flew straight toward the heavily injured Flower Sect Elder.

”Despicable coward, who are you?! How dare you break into my Flower Sect and commit murder!”

Seeing the black-clad figure charging toward her, the Flower Sect Elder shouted in anger. Even as she yelled, she wasn’t idle — she quickly pulled out a spatial jade slip from her storage ring and crushed it.

But the moment she finished doing that, a pale, delicate fist came crashing straight down onto her forehead.

”Ugh…”

Struck squarely in the head by Zi Yan’s punch, the Flower Sect Elder let out a muffled groan, then went completely limp.

”Hehe, another Dou Zun body in the bag. I can trade it with Lin Feng for more pills later.”

Seeing that her opponent no longer moved, the girl let out an excited giggle. Then she grabbed the unconscious Flower Sect Elder and slipped directly into the void.

”Whoosh!”

Zi Yan had just left when, a moment later, the experts summoned by the Elder arrived at the scene. But when they got there, not a single person remained.

”There’s no one here, but… there are still traces of Dou Qi left behind. Looks like there was a fight just now. Could it be that she crushed the spatial jade slip I gave her because she was in danger?”

Sensing the lingering Dou Qi fluctuations in the air, one Flower Sect expert stretched out her hand and gently grasped a thread of the residual energy. Her expression tightened.

But soon, a faint smell of blood drifted over, carried by a light breeze from the distance. The moment she caught the scent, her brows creased. She flew toward the direction where the smell originated.

”Enemy attack!”

Seeing bloodstains scattered across the flowers and grass within her sight, the Flower Sect expert let out a sharp, piercing scream. That shrill cry instantly threw the entire Flower Sect into chaos.

”Acting Sect Master, based on the blood traces, the ones who died should be those few inner disciples. As for the Elder who was with them, she’s completely missing. Most likely… her situation doesn’t look good either.”

Before long, the area around the flower patch where Zi Yan had killed the disciples was surrounded by Flower Sect upper ranks.

Their eyes carried a mix of heaviness and fury as they looked down at the scene. After all, within their own territory, several talented inner disciples and a Dou Zun Elder had died or vanished without explanation.

Anyone would be furious.

Hearing the analysis, everyone turned their gaze toward the woman standing in the middle.

She had quite an attractive appearance, though her slightly thin red lips carried a faintly harsh edge. She wore a luxurious brocade robe embroidered with golden floral patterns, looking extremely ornate.

”The enemy infiltrated the sect-protecting formation, yet the perimeter guards failed to notice anything. What exactly are you two doing?!”

The woman in the brocade robe ignored the looks from the surrounding Elders, turned her head, and harshly scolded two old women beside her.

Those two were the Elders in charge of the Flower Sect’s outer defenses. Hearing her sharp, accusing tone, the Flower Sect Elders around them frowned. But the sect-protecting formation had been refined by generations of Flower Sect experts.

Logically speaking, even a Nine Change Stage Dou Zun shouldn’t be able to sneak in without being noticed. So they didn’t speak up to defend the two old women. Because honestly, the whole situation was extremely strange.
