Seeing the situation calm down, Medusa continued, ”From now on, when you see him, you are to treat him the same as you would treat me. Understand?”

”Your Majesty, why...”

The hard-headed Mo Ba Si stepped forward once again to question her.

However, before he could finish speaking, Medusa flicked her wrist, and a rainbow-colored whip lashed out, slamming him into the wall.

”This queen is issuing an order, not asking for your opinion!”

The others, witnessing this scene, instantly understood.

This young man’s relationship with their queen… clearly wasn’t ordinary.

Medusa swept her beautiful eyes over the upper echelon of the Snake-People Clan and said coldly, ”Now, report the situation on the battlefield.”

At her command, the Great Elder of the Snake-People Clan slowly began, ”A few days ago, the Mulan Empire and the Luo Yan Empire suddenly launched a surprise attack on us for reasons unknown. We were caught unprepared, and as a result, they quickly seized many of our cities.”

The Second Elder added, ”Moreover, the behavior of those armies was especially abnormal. In the past, when we clashed with human forces, they would often capture our women and sell them into slavery. But this time, they were completely bloodthirsty. In the cities they conquered, they slaughtered our people—regardless of age or gender—almost entirely.”

”Yan Luotian… Three Mulan Elders… I’ll make you all pay with your lives for my fallen clan member!”

Upon hearing their reports, Medusa trembled with rage, her tone brimming with murderous intent.

The Snake-People were her reverse scale—her bottom line. Anyone who dared touch them, she would fight to the death!

And now, the forces of the two great empires were freely butchering her people.

If she didn’t kill Yan Luotian and the Three Mulan Elders, she wouldn’t be able to face the dead!

Meanwhile, upon hearing this, Lin Feng immediately made a connection to the likely mastermind.

Other than those sinister weirdos, there were few factions that enjoyed wanton slaughter.

The fact that these two empires had acted so abnormally—initiating such a massive massacre of the Snake-People—could only mean one thing.

The Hall of Souls’s Protectors must have incited Yan Luotian and the Three Mulan Elders to launch this war, likely to boost their own performance metrics.

After all, mass slaughter made it much easier to collect souls.

Once people died, they were defenseless—and perfect for soul harvesting on a large scale.

At the same time, he also understood why, during this war against the Snake-People, neither the Jia Ma Empire nor the Chu Yun Empire had joined the assault.

Instead, the two sides had started attacking each other ferociously—making moves that, on the surface, clearly went against their interests.

It was likely that both the Chu Yun Empire and the Jia Ma Empire had also fallen under the control or temptation of the Hall of Souls’s Protectors. That’s why they were acting this way.

However, when he considered that the Chu Yun Empire might currently be under the control of Xiao Yixian, his brows furrowed slightly.

”Looks like I’ll have to clear out all the Hall of Souls Protectors in this region...”

Having come to that conclusion, Lin Feng turned toward the murderous Medusa and said, ”Sasha, the reason those two empires are acting so strangely is likely because of the Hall of Souls’s Protectors.”

”You’re saying… they’re deliberately causing all this killing just to harvest souls?”

Hearing this, Medusa paused, her expression filled with doubt.

”Nine out of ten, yes. Otherwise, the Jia Ma Empire and Chu Yun Empire would’ve also joined the siege against your people, not started fighting each other out of nowhere. That goes completely against their strategic interests—at least on the surface.”

Nodding slightly, Lin Feng shared his reasoning.

Medusa also found his theory very convincing.

The Hall of Souls’s Protectors needed vast quantities of souls.

And while mass killings were inhumane, it was undeniably the fastest way to gather souls.

Besides, the Snake-People often clashed with nearby empires anyway.

In that context, all it would take was for the Hall of Souls to offer a few enticing benefits to easily incite other factions into attacking.

Now that she had identified the mastermind, Medusa clenched her fist and turned to Lin Feng, saying, ”We were planning to go after the Hall of Souls’s Protectors anyway. Now that they’ve delivered themselves to our doorstep, we must wipe them out completely!”

”Yeah, this really is a great opportunity.”

Lin Feng fully agreed with her idea.

After all, training through normal means to raise his alchemy skill to tier seven would take far too long.

But capturing Protectors of the Hall of Souls and absorbing both their own power and the souls they’d collected? That was a much more efficient path to strength.

And with his current power, he didn’t fear Hall of Souls retaliation.

Unless Hall of Souls completely lost their minds and sent a Dou Zun expert to avenge a few low-ranking protectors in some remote backwater.

As for the other Protectors, it was even more impossible for them to risk their lives for a colleague they didn’t even know.

As for the other snake-people on the side, all of them were utterly stunned.

\\Just now, did they hear Lin Feng… call their Queen ”Sasha”?

Of course, the most important thing was—

Their Queen not only didn’t get angry, she actually seemed used to it!

What did this mean?

It meant that the two in front of them were used to calling each other that way all the time!

Judging by how intimate they looked… who knows, maybe their Queen was already pregnant with his child!

”Alright, then it’s decided. Tomorrow, we’ll seize this opportunity and eliminate Yan Luotian and the Three Mulan Elders—all of those hostile forces—in one strike.”

Seeing that Lin Feng agreed, Medusa decisively made the final call.

Upon hearing this, the Snake-People Clan’s Great Elder spoke up with concern:

”Your Majesty, those Three Mulan Elders possess the Three Beasts Savage Art. Relying on the profoundness of that cultivation technique, their combined attack is comparable to a Dou Zong. And what’s more, there’s also Yan Luotian, who is a Two-Star Dou Zong. We—”

”My speed is fast—I’ll go stall Yan Luotian. As for you, Sasha, you kill off the Three Mulan Elders as quickly as possible, and then come support me. The rest of you will just hold off the remaining experts from the two empires.”

As Lin Feng spoke, the gazes of all the senior figures of the Snake-People Clan involuntarily shifted toward him.

”Hmph! Kid, maybe you can defeat us, but that Yan Luotian, he’s—”

”Shut up—all of you!” Medusa snapped. ”Lin Feng, when he was just a Five-Star Dou Wang, could already team up with Zi Yan to kill a Dou Huang. With his current strength, stalling a Dou Zong is no big deal at all!”

Zi Yan, who had been quiet all this time, suddenly stepped forward when she heard Medusa bring her up:

”That’s right! Back then, we joined forces and took down a Two-Star Dou Huang. Oh, and that guy was the same level as you, Big Black Snake.”

As she spoke, Zi Yan pointed directly at the Snake-People Clan’s Second Commander.

When Hei Du, the Second Commander, saw this little girl point at him, his face immediately darkened in anger.

However, the moment he felt the aura she released—one terrifyingly close to the Dou Huang level—and that faint but undeniable bloodline pressure, he immediately turned his head away and chose not to respond.

The others were all visibly shocked as well and didn’t say anything more.

After all, none of them dared to question their own Queen’s decision.

Seeing that everyone had gone silent, Medusa casually flicked her sleeves and tossed several jade bottles filled with healing medicine toward the members of the Snake-People Clan.
