In the vast desert, the wind and sand howled violently. Suddenly, the sharp sound of air being torn apart rang out, swiftly approaching from a distance.

Moments later, three black shadows appeared on the western horizon, streaking through the air as they shot toward the depths of the desert where the Snake-People Clan resided.

Lin Feng and his companions had spent an entire day crossing the Jia Ma Empire before finally entering this scorching desert.

After flying for a few minutes, at around noon, a massive tribal fortress gradually appeared on the distant horizon.

However, the fortress was now completely deserted. Judging by the scene, it had already been cleared by the victorious side.

At present, the state of the fortress buildings was far from good.

The once towering city walls had mostly collapsed, with bricks and stones scattered all over the ground.

All the various large and small arrow towers had also been destroyed without exception.

Around the city walls, large swathes of bloodstains, long since dried, were visible everywhere.

Lin Feng scanned the surroundings. Judging by these traces, it was evident that the Snake-People Clan had been on the losing side of the battle.

As a Dou Zong powerhouse, Medusa naturally noticed this as well.

Her expression grew even colder.

Even the usually lively Zi Yan fell completely silent upon seeing Medusa’s face.

From the look on her face, she was probably praying that they would reach their destination quickly—so she could immediately escape Medusa’s arms.

As the group continued flying, they passed by several major tribal cities.

However, the current residents of these cities, which once belonged to the Snake-People Clan, were now entirely human armies.

”That’s… the banners of the Luo Yan Empire and the Mulan Empire.”

Gazing at the flags fluttering above those cities, Lin Feng spoke in surprise.

He hadn’t expected that these guys would act so quickly and stir up trouble again.

”Those bastards! They saw I wasn’t around and immediately came back to wipe out my Snake-People Clan.”

As an old enemy of these empires, Medusa naturally recognized their banners.

Staring at the flags waving in the wind, the killing intent in her eyes surged even more violently.

Lin Feng’s gaze swept over the cities below. He found that the vast majority of Snake-People were already nowhere to be seen.

The occasional female Snake-People spotted in their vision had all become human slaves.

Seeing this situation, Medusa’s chest rose and fell rapidly in rage.

She immediately dropped Zi Yan and prepared to dive down to slaughter the armies of the two empires.

However, Lin Feng grabbed her and said, ”Even if you save them now, it won’t change the overall war. What we need to do first is eliminate those powerful leaders. Only then can we save more of your people.”

”Yeah, Sister Medusa. Let’s kill those strong ones first—they’re probably still slaughtering your clan up ahead.”

Zi Yan, finally freed from Medusa’s embrace, spread her purple wings to stabilize herself mid-air and quickly flew to her side, trying to persuade her.

”…Let’s go!”

Hearing the two of them, Medusa clenched her fists tightly, then once again shot forward.

Lin Feng and Zi Yan exchanged a glance, then followed right after her.

The Tagore Desert was extremely vast for any cultivator below the Dou Wang level.

But to Lin Feng and the others, it wasn’t that large at all.

After flying for just over ten minutes, they arrived at the final defensive line before the Snake-People Clan’s Holy City.

Lin Feng had passed this city once before and knew that beyond it lay the Holy City.

Clearly, the Snake-People Clan had reached the critical point of life and death.

If this final line of defense was breached, their Holy City would be directly exposed to war.

And if it truly came to that, then the Snake-People Clan would be all but annihilated.

Looking at the enormous joint army of the two empires below, Lin Feng signaled for Medusa and Zi Yan to stop.

Then, a vast spiritual perception silently spread out from him, sweeping into the distance.

Before long, Lin Feng detected four powerful auras in a certain location.

Three of them were at the peak of Dou Huang level—likely the famous Three Mulan Elders.

The last one was similar in strength to Su Qian when he attacked the Inner Academy before. It was probably Yan Luotian.

Lin Feng had long coveted the Sky Bird Nine Flying Wings in Yan Luotian’s possession.

Now that the man had delivered himself to his door, Lin Feng wasn’t about to let the opportunity slip by.

Once he obtained that item, the bone wings from the Ancient Heavenly Phoenix Corpse in his hands could finally be put to full use.

”Yan Luotian and the Three Elders of the Mulan Valley are over there. Let’s go in from another direction. We shouldn’t alert them just yet—let’s first check on the condition of your Snake-People Clan,” Lin Feng said as he shook his head, casting away the chaotic thoughts in his mind before turning to speak to the two women.

”Alright,” Medusa nodded, agreeing with his suggestion.

At this moment, she indeed wanted to confirm the current state of her clan.

As for Zi Yan, she simply wore an expression that said, You two decide.

Seeing that they were all in agreement, Lin Feng took the lead and activated the secret technique ”Soul Concealment,” concealing his presence.

The two women, having already learned the technique from Lin Feng earlier, quickly followed suit.

Seeing this, Lin Feng then relied on his powerful soul power to lead the two women, avoiding the strong enemies along the way as they sped toward the last remaining territory of the Snake-People Clan.

Meanwhile, within the defensive line of the Snake-People Clan, the eight division leaders were currently discussing strategy with the four great elders.

”Even the four elders—who are all peak Dou Huang—have already been seriously injured, and their combat power is severely diminished. With just us, there’s no way we can survive. We might as well go all out. Before we die, we’ll make sure to knock out a few of their teeth at least!”

A cold-faced male snake-person suddenly stood up and shouted angrily.

This man was the second commander of the clan, one of the rare Two-Star Dou Huang-level experts within the Snake-People.

”That’s right. Tomorrow, we go out and fight those humans to the death! I’ve had enough of this humiliation!”

Seeing the second commander step forward, Mo Ba Si—his staunch supporter—also stood up and agreed loudly.

Several of the other commanders also revealed hesitant yet somewhat supportive expressions.

After all, at this point, the odds of them surviving even one more day were nearly zero.

During these days of fighting the two great empires, the Snake-People had lost over 90% of their territory, and more than 60% of their people had already been slaughtered.

Moreover, under the fierce assault of the Three Mulan Elders and Yan Luotian, even the four great elders were gravely injured.

If it hadn’t been for the Four-Star-ranked Grand Commander risking his life to save them, they might have already perished on the battlefield.

Though all four elders were rescued and their lives preserved, the Grand Commander himself now lay in the infirmary—on the brink of death.

”No. A few days ago, I had the priest send word to the Queen. By now, she must already be on her way back. What we need to do now is hold on a little longer—endure until Medusa returns.”

The four elders exchanged glances, then firmly rejected the proposal.

”But how are we supposed to hold on? They’ve got three peak Dou Huangs and even a Two-Star Dou Zong. Aside from the second commander, we don’t even have another Dou Huang among us!”

Yue Mei furrowed her brows and continued, ”The best we can do is hold off the other Dou Huang-level enemies from the two empires. As for the Three Mulan Elders and Yan Luotian—we’re powerless against them.”

At these words, everyone in the room fell into frowning silence. Indeed, this was the harsh truth.

”Leave the Three Mulan Elders and Yan Luotian to us.”

Just as the crowd was deep in thought, a deep, magnetic male voice slowly echoed through the chamber.

”Who is it?! Who dares intrude into the Snake-People Clan?!”

Suddenly hearing a voice that did not belong to any of them, all the leaders and elders were startled and alarmed.
