Journey to Planar World

Unaffected by the FOMO (fear of missing out) sparked by the choices of the three previous Saviors, Claire requested the Gate Magic of Momonga from the Planar World: Overlord.

Gate Magic is the ability to summon a portal that allows the transportation of a large number of people over vast distances. There is no known distance limit, and most crucially, the chance of teleportation error is 0%. It is considered the highest tier of teleportation magic.

Technically, teleportation abilities don’t fall directly into offensive or defensive categories but rather into utility and support. Thus, Claire’s reward request was granted without objection from Alaya.

Ironically, Thomas, who had just died, hailed from the Planar World: Overlord, the origin of the Gate Magic Claire requested. Fate can indeed be quite strange.

”Your turn.”

Alaya’s tone was slightly softer than usual, just a touch, when addressing Charlie.

After all, Charlie’s performance was exceptional, even if he wasn’t the MVP of this Quest.

”Then, I want Merlin’s Clairvoyance from the Planar World: Type-Moon.” Charlie said without hesitation, unaware of the subtle shift in Alaya’s tone.

He had long considered what he wanted as a reward for completing this Quest.

Merlin’s Clairvoyance, known as The Eyes Which See through the World, allows the user to see beyond the boundaries of time from a single standpoint. Since ancient times, it was a power entrusted to the land by the gods and a necessity for shamans to sustain life.

Merlin’s Clairvoyance is said to be on par with similar abilities possessed by figures like Gilgamesh and Solomon, both of which hold an EX rank.

While most uses of Clairvoyance allow the user to see the future or even the past, Merlin’s is limited to the present.

Through his experience in the Planar World: Sword Art Online, Charlie realized his weakness: a lack of means to locate hidden individuals or entities skilled at concealment.

After deep self-reflection, he chose Merlin’s Clairvoyance to prevent similar situations in future Quests.

(If I had Merlin’s Clairvoyance, finding Kayaba Akihiko would’ve been a trivial matter, not dragging on for months like that,)

Charlie imagined the efficiency he could achieve in the future.

Unfortunately, plans don’t always align with changes.

”Oops, I forgot to mention an important detail.” Gaia exclaimed in her cheerful tone, as if it were a minor oversight. ”Actually, abilities or items can only be claimed by a Savior once. In other words, they’re like limited editions!”

”Merlin’s Clairvoyance has already been claimed by Frank. So, Charlie, pick something else~”

With her playful tone, Gaia acted cute about her mistake, ignoring the disappointment Charlie might feel.

This unexpected information caused several Saviors’ brows to furrow. Clearly, the rewards they wanted might have already been claimed by others, forcing them to reconsider their choices.

”Give me a moment.”

Though disappointed, Charlie could only suppress his frustration. There was no way he could vent his anger at the cosmic entities—Gaia and Alaya—before him, right?

It was like an employee exploited inhumanely by a ruthless boss. No matter how bad the treatment, the employee could only stay silent, fearing job loss or worse consequences.

”While we wait for Charlie to decide, let’s move on to Wang Jian.” Gaia suggested, trying to speed things up.

”No. This must be done in order.” Alaya replied flatly, her gaze unwavering.

”Ugh, Alaya, you’re too strict, aren’t you? Are you an honor student?” Gaia teased.

”…”

”Okay, okay, don’t look at me with those cold eyes.”

Gaia took a few steps back, ceasing her teasing as Alaya glared at her sharply.

”…”

A brief silence enveloped the Void Sanctuary as Charlie remained deep in thought, searching for the best alternative.

It didn’t take long for Charlie to think of a similar effect to replace Merlin’s Clairvoyance.

”Instead of Merlin’s Clairvoyance, I want Otsutsuki Shibai’s Clairvoyance from the Planar World: Naruto.”

”No way. Otsutsuki Shibai’s Clairvoyance isn’t just about seeing the past, present, and future; its scope spans the Andromeda Galaxy. Moreover, it includes various unique abilities that can be manipulated for multiple purposes. Thus, Otsutsuki Shibai’s Clairvoyance falls into offensive, defensive, and support categories. It’s beyond the allowed reward limits.”

Alaya immediately rejected Charlie’s second request, providing her reasoning.

”Seriously? Clairvoyance spanning the Andromeda Galaxy? That’s insane! Maybe only planet-destroying characters from the Dragon Ball universe could rival Otsutsuki Shibai, right?”

As a scientist, Frank understood how astounding Otsutsuki Shibai’s Clairvoyance was. This revelation truly shocked him.

Frank wasn’t the only one stunned; all the Saviors were floored by the news.

For a moment, they all imagined what it meant to possess such vision.

They knew the Milky Way Galaxy, home to their solar system, has a diameter of about 100,000 to 120,000 light-years, an unimaginably vast space containing billions of stars and planetary systems.

But the Andromeda Galaxy, the largest spiral galaxy in the Local Group and the closest major galaxy to the Milky Way, far surpasses it. Its diameter is estimated at 220,000 light-years, nearly double the Milky Way’s, and it’s believed to contain around 1 trillion stars—four times more than their own galaxy.

So, when Alaya explained that Otsutsuki Shibai’s Clairvoyance could see all past, present, and future across a space as vast as the Andromeda Galaxy, it was truly terrifying.

It wasn’t just about seeing what was happening across a city or even another planet. It meant witnessing the entire history and potential futures of a cosmic expanse containing trillions of stars and possibly billions of civilizations—a scale beyond ordinary human imagination.

It was a level of existence and perception so close to the concept of a true god, making it a power rightfully categorized as offensive, defensive, and support due to its limitless potential for information manipulation.

(Thank goodness Otsutsuki Shibai has ascended to a higher dimension. Otherwise, the universe in the Planar World: Naruto would just be the Otsutsuki Clan’s backyard.)

The one most shocked by this glimpse of Otsutsuki Shibai’s power was none other than Wang Jian. His expression turned grave.

After all, he was reincarnated in the Planar World: Naruto. This information hit him directly.

For the other Saviors, it was merely awe-inspiring but not threatening. No matter how powerful Otsutsuki Shibai was, he wouldn’t interfere with those in different worlds and universes.

But for Wang Jian, it was different. He was bound to clash with the Otsutsuki Clan in the future. If he allowed them to plant a God Tree in the Ninja World and harvest its Chakra Fruit, Wang Jian would also perish.

Thus, Wang Jian couldn’t just stand by and watch the Otsutsuki Clan execute their plans. Their existence was a direct threat to his survival and the world he now called home.
