Journey to Planar World

”Wait a minute, something’s not right! Every Longinus-class Sacred Gear should already have its rightful owner. So how can you possess Absolute Demise? It’s impossible for two Longinus to appear at the same time!”

Feeling envious that another Savior had obtained such a powerful ability, Thomas voiced his doubts.

”Hmm... Thomas is right. If I remember correctly, the current owner of Absolute Demise is Lavinia Reni, a Human Wizard from the Grauzauberer organization affiliated with the Mage Association and also a member of Team Slash/Dog.” Frank chimed in, stroking his chin with his fingers.

Charlie and the other Saviors who had knowledge of the High School DxD anime slowly recovered from their shock and stared at Elena with great curiosity.

How could a newly joined Savior possess one of the most powerful Sacred Gears?

”It’s a secret~ Why should I tell you everything? Everyone has their own secrets they don’t want others to know, right?” Elena replied, sticking her tongue out slightly, trying to look cute but instead appearing mysterious.

She refused to provide further explanation.

Her template was Maria Mikhailovna Kujou from the rom-com anime—Roshidere—an ordinary world without superpowers or the supernatural. So, when faced with the choice of unlocking her template’s power or obtaining a random item/ability after completing the previous Quest, Elena unhesitatingly chose the latter option.

Goddess Fortuna was apparently on her side, she got the chance to steal Sacred Gear randomly. Then Elena used that opportunity, she got Absolute Demise. What an amazing and unexpected stroke of luck!

”Me, Thomas, and Elena. Anyone else want to take Quest 3? Considering the large number of heroines to protect, I hope at least four or five people participate.”

Wang Jian changed the topic, looking at the other Saviors.

”...”

However, no other Savior spoke up. Clearly, they had already made their choices about which Quest they wanted to take and with whom they would cooperate.

”Haaa... I guess three people is fine too. Hopefully everything will go smoothly. Losing a random ability is a painful price, even for me.” He muttered with a resigned yet still confident tone.

Wang Jian admitted that if it weren’t for his surging confidence after successfully unlocking two abilities from the Limitless Technique—Infinity and Blue—he wouldn’t have dared to take the initiative to take on this seemingly troublesome Quest 3.

”I’ll take Quest 1. After all, my appearance is very suitable for the time setting of the Planar World: Jigokuraku, which has a Japanese feudal feel. Besides, the protagonist and heroine in that world are not weak. They probably won’t be killed so easily by the Abyssal Devourer. With good cooperation, this Quest should be completed without significant obstacles.”

”Anyone want to join me for Quest 1?”

His template was Tsugikuni Yoriichi, and he had fully unlocked his template’s power—Sun Breathing, Transparent World, Selfless State, Demon Slayer Mark.

Plus, in the world where he reincarnated—the Planar World: Konosuba—his profession was Swordmaster, granting him various sword and combat skills from a fantasy world.

”Do you mind if I join you, Kazuya? Don’t worry, I won’t be a burden. I’ve leveled up and learned magic in my reincarnated world—the Planar World: Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari—I’m sure I can provide significant help.”

Claire volunteered, also revealing her newly acquired abilities.

”Of course, I welcome you, Claire.” Kazuya replied with a polite nod.

In his heart, he was glad Claire was joining him. Claire’s template was Hoshino Ai, who was an idol. Kazuya was confident that with the abilities the other party had acquired in the Planar World: Tate no Yuusha, she would be a valuable ally.

After Quest 1 and Quest 3 were taken, the other Saviors were no longer just watching.

”As you can see, my template is the First Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang from the Shuumatsu no Valkyrie series.” Oscar said with a confident smile, crossing his legs.

His charismatic appearance and aura of leadership indeed perfectly matched the title.

”That would fit very well with the ancient kingdom setting in the Planar World: Kusuriya no Hitorigoto. Besides me, anyone else want to join?”

Even if he had to go alone, Oscar wouldn’t be daunted.

”Take me too, Oscar. Just like Claire, I’ve learned magic in my reincarnated world. Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari and Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou are both game-themed fantasy otherworlds. The difference in power systems shouldn’t be too far off.”

”Sure, running a Quest alone would definitely be boring.”

No matter how strong or weak Farah was, Oscar accepted her offer without hesitation. Cooperation, even with someone whose strength he didn’t fully know, was always better than solitude.

”Anyone interested in taking Quest 4 with me?” Frank asked with a slightly curious tone.

”Honestly, I’m quite interested in the existence of the god in Amagami Shrine who can transfer the protagonist to parallel worlds. As a scientist, I want to see if that phenomenon can be explained scientifically.”

His template as Ishigami Senku indeed reflected his interest in science and Frank’s desire to understand everything through logic.

After waiting for a while and no other Savior responded.

”...”

”No one? Fine, I can handle it alone too. With my Sigil, it won’t be a problem to protect many people at the same time.”

Frank didn’t seem disappointed at all about having to run the Quest alone.

Sigil was a unique power system in the world where he reincarnated—the Planar World: Darwin’s Game.

It was a superpower possessed by all players participating in that brutal survival game, granted randomly and uniquely to each player after they joined.

Although the exact mechanisms behind it were not fully understood, Sigils granted superhuman abilities of various kinds, allowing players to survive and fight in that deadly game. Frank was confident that with the Sigil he possessed, he could overcome the challenges in the Planar World: Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi.

”So only Quest 5 is left, huh...” Charlie muttered, observing the last page orbiting the round table.

”Miguel, are you sure you don’t want to help Frank with Quest 4? As Gaia said, I’m The Strongest among us right now. Moreover, I already have experience running Quests alone.”

Charlie, who had been silently listening to the other Saviors’ choices, finally spoke up.

With Aishia and Est as his loyal partners, he didn’t really feel alone, even though he would be running a Quest in a different world.

That was why Charlie let everyone choose the Quest that most interested them, and he didn’t mind taking the remaining Quest.
