Journey to Planar World

”A spirit I don’t recognize... Your growth surpasses anyone I’ve ever seen. Therefore, you must die here.”

Revis said coldly, as if stating an undeniable fact, while glancing at Terminus Est.

”Sorry, your wish will never be fulfilled, neither in the present nor in the future.” Charlie replied calmly, gripping Terminus Est tightly.

’Why did I say sorry at the beginning? Does the Armor of Fafnir have some strange side effect, influencing my subconscious? Didn’t Siegfried also often say sorry whenever he spoke?’

However, Charlie didn’t have the luxury of pondering such strange things further. His opponent wouldn’t give him time to reflect.

*WHOOSH!*

Without a word, Revis attacked with her bare hands. Her right fist swung with terrifying speed and power, the air around it rippling as it moved.

*BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!*

Charlie deftly raised Terminus Est, parrying every punch Revis threw. The sharp clang of metal echoed in the air. However, even though his sword successfully blocked the physical attacks, the terrifying force behind each of Revis’s fists made his hands numb.

*BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!*

After several intense exchanges of punches and parries, Revis withdrew her fist and looked at Charlie with a sneer.

”Is that all? Looks like you’re all talk. You are stronger than the last time we met, but it’s still not enough to defeat me.”

”Alright, I’ll have to get serious too if I don’t want to be underestimated.”

Saying those words, Charlie focused his magical essence.

”Physical Enchant.”

A faint white light enveloped his body for a few seconds before disappearing without a trace. He used Spirit Arts to instantly enhance his physical strength, speed, and agility.

Now, with drastically increased physical abilities, Charlie changed his tactics. Instead of just defending, he took the initiative to attack.

*SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!*

Terminus Est moved like silver lightning in his hand, slashing with a speed that was difficult for the ordinary eye to follow. Charlie was completely focused on the attack, ignoring defense for the moment.

*BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!*

Revis’s fists struck his body several times, but Charlie didn’t flinch.

A green light flickered on his chest, the intricate pattern like tree roots spreading beneath his skin was not mere decoration. It was the manifestation of a portion of the Armor of Fafnir, an ability that granted him immunity to various types of physical and magical attacks. Every punch Revis landed felt like a dull impact, its energy neutralized by the protection.

*SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!*

Six Eyes Charlie read every minute movement in Revis’s body, anticipating every incoming attack even before it was fully launched. He saw the trajectory of his opponent’s fists, the speed of her swings, and the weak points in her defense.

*SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!*

*PU-CHI!* *PU-CHI!* *PU-CHI!*

With that information, Charlie continued to attack relentlessly. Slash after slash forced Revis to continuously retreat and defend.

*SWISH!*

The silver sword slashed through the air, leaving a faint trail of light as it aimed for Revis’s shoulder.

*CLANG!*

The red-haired woman raised her gloved arm to parry, but the impact still made her stagger backward.

*CLANG!*

A loud clash occurred again as Terminus Est collided with Revis’s gauntlet. However, this time, Charlie’s enhanced strength was able to withstand and even slightly push back his opponent.

*SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!*

Charlie didn’t give Revis a chance to catch her breath. He continued to press with faster and stronger attacks. The swings of his sword came from various directions, low, high, sideways, without a clear pattern.

’This man’s strength suddenly increased. It must be that technique that significantly boosts his power temporarily, like the one he used against me back then. However, the increase is greater than before because this man has become stronger.’

’Although my raw power is greater than his, this man has great Battle IQ. Besides, there’s something special about his eyes...’

Analyzing Charlie, Revis had to exert all her speed and agility to avoid or parry every incoming attack. However, the constant pressure from Charlie began to overwhelm her. Several slashes managed to leave wounds on her body.

*SWOOSH!*

*PU-CHI!*

A horizontal slash aimed for Revis’s waist. This time, she didn’t have time to fully parry. The silver light of Terminus Est left a shallow but painful wound on her side, red blood began to seep out, staining her dark clothing.

An expression of surprise and slight anger was clearly visible on Revis’s face. She clearly hadn’t expected to be injured by an opponent she previously didn’t take seriously.

”Don’t get cocky, brat!”

Gathering all her strength, Revis threw a powerful punch towards Charlie.

*BAM!*

The punch struck Charlie with tremendous force, sending his body flying backward, slamming into a pile of rubble with a thud. However, Charlie got back up without the slightest injury, proving the effectiveness of the Armor of Fafnir.

”Tch...”

”The situation is not in my favor.”

Spitting a mouthful of blood onto the ground, Revis saw Finn, Riveria, Tiona, and Tione running closer, clearly intending to help Aiz.

Her strength was indeed equal to a Level 6 adventurer, but she was aware that she wouldn’t be able to face six First-Class Adventurers simultaneously.

Without the slightest hesitation, Revis leaped high into the air, using the rubble as a foothold, and fled with incredible speed, disappearing into the darkness of the night before the Loki Familia adventurers could surround her.

”Aishia, treat Aiz’s wounds.” Charlie said to Aishia, who was in the air, observing the battle from the beginning.

”Um.” Aishia replied briefly.

She immediately glided down and landed lightly beside Aiz, who lay weakly on the ground, her body full of wounds.

”Cura.” Aishia said softly.

A gentle light enveloped the severely injured girl. Slowly, the wounds on Aiz’s body began to close, the bleeding stopped, and color returned to her pale face.

”Aiz-san!” Lefiya, who had just arrived at the battle scene in a hurry, immediately knelt beside Aiz.

She had already prepared an Elixir in her hand, but her eyes widened as she saw Aiz begin to move and look much better.

”Healing magic?”

On the other side, Finn approached Charlie, who had now canceled his Elemental Waffe. Terminus Est returned to her human form, Est, who stood beside Charlie with her usual flat expression.

”Charlie. Thank you for saving Aiz.” Finn said in a serious tone, bowing slightly.

”You’re welcome. Besides, Aiz and I are friends.” Charlie replied politely, giving Finn a small nod.

Finn finally led the group back to the partially destroyed city of Rivira, leaving behind the remnants of the chaos.
