Picking Up a Gorgeous CEO for a Wife

Of course, even after figuring out how mermaids mate, Qin Yu had no intention of recklessly advancing his relationship with Lu Shiqi.

After all, the present Qin Yu was sober, and for the sober Qin Yu, there was only one standard when it came to such matters, and that was an emotional foundation.

Qin Yu had known Lu Shiqi for only a few days and had even thought about introducing her to Liu Tian; their emotional foundation was not very solid.

Although Lu Shiqi’s rescue had touched Qin Yu somewhat and had warmed their feelings to a certain extent, Qin Yu felt that there was still a distance to cover before they could engage in that kind of activity.

Qin Yu took a deep breath and gently bit Lu Shiqi’s tongue.

Lu Shiqi felt pain and slowly came back to her senses.

Realizing the change in her body, Lu Shiqi was so embarrassed she wished she could find a crack in the ground to crawl into! She was a mermaid now! How could she be in this form with Brother Yu…

Even if something was going to happen, they would have to go ashore, rinse off the seawater, and return to her human form first!

“Brother Yu, I…” Lu Shiqi was so embarrassed she couldn’t speak clearly.

Qin Yu pointed to his mouth to indicate he couldn’t speak right now and then pointed upwards, signalling Lu Shiqi to take him to the surface.

Lu Shiqi understood Qin Yu’s gesture and briskly pulled him upward, ascending rapidly.

This time, Lu Shiqi didn’t keep kissing Qin Yu’s lips the entire time; she only did so when she saw that Qin Yu was about to not endure any longer.

The few hundred meters distance was a trivial matter for a mermaid; in less than two minutes, Lu Shiqi brought Qin Yu to the surface!

Having regained the long-lost air, Qin Yu breathed greedily, and it took a good while before he fully recovered! Lying on the water surface in a spread-eagled position, Qin Yu burst into wild laughter!

Qin Yu had not expected to survive; he thought he was surely a goner!

“Shiqi, when did you awaken?” After laughing for a while, Qin Yu curiously looked at Lu Shiqi.

“Brother Yu, I haven’t awakened for very long, you don’t despise me, do you?” Lu Shiqi looked at Qin Yu with a worried face.

“Silly girl, why would I despise you? Mermaids are the purest beings in the world! I can’t get enough of them!” Qin Yu raised his hand and rubbed Lu Shiqi’s head gently.

After turning into a mermaid, Lu Shiqi’s hair had grown much longer and felt exceptionally smooth to the touch.

“But, if you don’t despise me, then why did you introduce me to Liu Tian?” Lu Shiqi pouted and looked unhappy.

“Shiqi, you should know, I have several women! I was simply trying not to get involved with more romantic troubles!” Qin Yu gave a bitter smile.

“Brother Yu, I don’t know if you’re aware, but once we mermaids choose someone, it’s for life! I beg you, even if you don’t like me, don’t push me away and don’t hand me off to someone else.”

“Hmm…” Qin Yu let out a deep sigh, knowing he had once again attracted another peach blossom trouble.

“Brother Yu, do you know how to drive a speedboat?” Lu Shiqi suddenly remembered that Holly Rosie was still waiting for her and asked with expectation.

“Yes, why?”

“The people driving our speedboat had a falling out. One of them, called White Shark, killed the other. White Shark wanted to assault me and Sister Rosie. Thankfully, I awakened just in time, or we would have really been violated.”

White Shark? Qin Yu’s gaze sharpened; wasn’t this one of Black Shark’s underlings? Could it be that they hadn’t completely dealt with Black Shark’s remnants?

Qin Yu pinched Lu Shiqi’s cheek with a frightened face; “Good job, Shiqi!”

“Brother Yu, I’ll take you to Sister Rosie; she must be very anxious.”

“I’m not busy. The guy I just killed had an accomplice, and I need to take care of him first. Otherwise, ‘Happiness’ will face a bloody disaster,” Liu Tian said.

“But Rosie is all alone at sea.”

“Silly, after getting on the ‘Happiness,’ I can send two more boys to Rosie!” Qin Yu said affectionately, pinching Lu Shiqi’s nose.

Lu Shiqi’s concern for Holly Rosie didn’t make Qin Yu jealous at all, which pleased him.

“If that’s the case, I am relieved. Let’s go,” Lu Shiqi said.

“Mm.”

Lu Shiqi grabbed Qin Yu and dived into the water, almost choking him! Just as Qin Yu was about to protest, Lu Shiqi suddenly blew out a big bubble.

The bubble engulfed Qin Yu, and he had no problem breathing! Qin Yu began to understand that Lu Shiqi had been taking deep breaths continuously just before, she was making an effort to create this bubble!

With this bubble, Qin Yu felt no pressure swimming underwater!

Lu Shiqi held onto Qin Yu’s arm and darted forward like a shooting star, while Qin Yu leisurely took the time to cultivate energy and recover his True Yuan.

In less than ten minutes, Qin Yu and Lu Shiqi had returned beside ‘Happiness.’

Arriving there, Lu Shiqi let go of Qin Yu’s arm, releasing her grip.

Seeing Lu Shiqi’s chest heaving continuously, Qin Yu knew that hurrying over so quickly hadn’t been easy and she must be tired.

“This time, let me help you!” Qin Yu wrapped his arm around Lu Shiqi’s slender waist, lightly tapped the hull of ‘Happiness’ with his toes, and with a whoosh, leaped up, carrying Lu Shiqi onto the deck in his arms!

Lu Shiqi’s mermaid tail couldn’t hold her steady, and she lay limply on the deck.

Fortunately, all the guests of ‘Happiness’ were gathered at the top-floor arena, or else the sight of a mermaid would have definitely caused a sensation.

Seeing that Lu Shiqi was still in her mermaid form, Qin Yu was surprised; “Shiqi, can’t you transform into a human on land? Aren’t mermaids supposed to turn into humans once they reach shore?”

“I can turn into a human, but I have to wash off the seawater on my body,” Lu Shiqi softly said.

“Oh, that? Easy peasy!” Qin Yu snapped his fingers, and a water sphere formed, splashing down over Lu Shiqi.

After several water spheres, the seawater on Lu Shiqi was rinsed off completely.

Then, a wondrous scene unfolded—Lu Shiqi’s tail began to flicker nonstop, enveloped in a dazzling white light that disappeared in a flash.

After the light faded, what met Qin Yu’s eyes was no longer a tail but instead a pair of long white legs over one meter in length!

Lu Shiqi, with her nine-head figure, affirmed the saying “everything below the neck is legs”! Previously, Qin Yu had not understood why, but now he did—Lu Shiqi was a mermaid, so it was normal for her legs to be a bit longer!

Barefoot, Lu Shiqi followed Qin Yu on the deck, and soon, they reached the captain’s quarters, where the sailors promptly bowed to greet him.

“We’ve seen Mr. Qin.”

“Prepare a speedboat right away. Shiqi will tell you where to go.”

“Yes!” Although the sailors were curious to see Lu Shiqi return, they carried out Qin Yu’s orders without question and without idle chatter.

Lu Shiqi bid farewell to Qin Yu with reluctance, and even though she would see Qin Yu again soon, she still felt a strong sense of longing.
