Picking Up a Gorgeous CEO for a Wife

Chapter 1244: Chapter 1244: Showing Some Promise

“Ah ha! It’s little Qiqi! Little Qiqi has grown up so much! And she even has a boyfriend now! Let me guess, is it Anqi or Yuqi?”

When he heard the name Anqi, Qin Yu’s body shuddered, and his grip around Mo Yuqi loosened slightly.

Sensing the change in Qin Yu, Mo Yuqi, fearing that Old Chen might upset Qin Yu further, quickly said, “Old Chen, it’s Yuqi here!”

“Ah ha! I was actually going to guess Yuqi too, I remember Yuqi’s eyes are a bit bigger than her sister’s. Yuqi, would you like the usual?”

“I didn’t expect that after six years, I’d still see Old Chen, the same as ever, tripe, fried liver, and bean juice, two of each please!”

“Hahaha, Juanzi! Take Qiqi and her little boyfriend to table four, I’ve always kept it reserved for you all!” The old man gave a jubilant laugh.

“Yes, boss.” Waitress Juanzi quickly nodded.

Mo Yuqi instinctively looked towards table four, her face revealing a nostalgic expression. Mo Yuqi remembered that back when Old Chen had his stall by the school gate, his legs weren’t very nimble, and after school, both Mo Anqi and Mo Yuqi often helped him push his cart.

That went on for four years!

Old Chen had promised that if one day he opened a small shop, table four would always be reserved for the sisters.

Mo Yuqi hadn’t expected that what was, in her eyes, a casual remark, Old Chen had taken to heart!

Now, even though there clearly weren’t enough seats, table four still had a sign that read “Reserved.”

Led by the staff, Qin Yu and Mo Yuqi walked towards table four, which was by the window and allowed one to see the passersby.

Qin Yu voluntarily pulled out a chair for Mo Yuqi. Mo Yuqi smiled at him, then took off her down jacket and placed it on the chair.

Qin Yu also removed his coat, rolled up his sleeves, and sat down.

After recognizing Mo Yuqi, Old Chen was very efficient, and within minutes he had brought the snacks that Mo Yuqi had ordered.

Mo Yuqi couldn’t wait to pop a piece of the tripe into her mouth, her face showing an expression of endless relish, “Delicious! Just as good as it was! It’s been six years, but it hasn’t changed! Qin Yu, try some.”

As she spoke, Mo Yuqi picked up a piece of tripe and pushed it towards Qin Yu’s mouth.

Mo Yuqi’s movement seemed casual, but she was actually very nervous—she wasn’t sure why she had suddenly made that gesture.

Although nervous, Mo Yuqi had no regrets. In her heart, Qin Yu had already accepted the arranged marriage set up by the old lecher Anqi, and she thought such a scenario was bound to occur sooner or later.

Qin Yu was momentarily stunned. Old Chen’s mention of Anqi had snapped him back to reality—Mo Yuqi was Mo Yuqi, not Mo Anqi, he wanted to refuse.

But seeing the expectant light in Mo Yuqi’s eyes, and considering that Old Chen seemed to think he was Mo Yuqi’s boyfriend, if he blatantly refused, wouldn’t it make Mo Yuqi lose face?

With that thought, Qin Yu opened his mouth and swallowed the piece of tripe Mo Yuqi had offered him.

The tension in Mo Yuqi’s heart, which had been up to her throat, finally subsided—Qin Yu really ate it! He really did! It had my saliva on it, does that count as an indirect… kiss?

Psh! Psh! Psh! Mo Yuqi, can you show some self-respect?

When you were acting in Luo Zhu Grand Hotel, didn’t you guys already kiss?

Mo Yuqi leisurely picked up a piece of fried liver, and for some reason, she found this piece exceptionally delicious.

Is it… because of Qin Yu’s saliva on the chopsticks?
