Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1304: The Zhi Clan

”Elder Zhang—”

Zhang Fei stopped Fei Yinglin, but the way she addressed him shocked the guards from the Zhi Clan. After all, he was still young, and his cultivation was only at the 2-Sun Celestial Lord Realm.

Zhang Fei didn’t care much about the guards’ gazes at him, and he spoke to them directly. ”So, this is how the Zhi Clan treats their guests, huh? I do need treatment for one of my wives, but I will never accept it if anyone insults my disciples.”

”Young master, we—” The guards’ eyes widened as soon as Zhang Fei took out his alchemy badge. ”God... god rank alchemist!”

”Heh! Not even Jin Nanqing dares to be presumptuous in front of me, yet mere guards like you guys dare to insult my disciples!” Zhang Fei placed his badge back in his inventory before turning to leave while hugging Mu Lingzhu’s waist. ”Lingzhu, I will definitely find a cure for you, but we don’t need to ask for help from arrogant doctors like them. Arrogant doctors will never be able to cure their patients, and they will only make their illnesses worse.”

Mu Lingzhu nodded at him. ”It’s okay; I’ve lived with this condition for decades, so it doesn’t matter if I have to wait a little longer.”

”Let’s go, Big Brother! There are many doctors in this domain; I’m sure one of them can cure Big Sis Lingshu.” Xu Ling’er hugged Zhang Fei’s arm, pulling him and Mu Lingzhu away from the Zhi Clan.

Luo Yunxiao, Wu Lianzhi, Zhang Lin, Ning Zhuan’er, and some other women looked at the guards, who were still stunned, before following them.

Fei Yinglin and You Shiyan exchanged glances for a moment before sighing softly, and the two of them hurriedly caught up with Zhang Fei and the others.

After they had gone far enough, one of the guards rushed into their clan to report to their leaders about Zhang Fei.

”Elder Zhang, you—”

”No need, Yinglin.” Zhang Fei stopped Fei Yinglin again. ”I do need their help to try to cure Lingzhu’s condition, but our dignity is paramount. You two are my disciples, so I will never allow anyone to insult you, as it’s no different from insulting me and our sect.”

”Hehe.” Luo Yunxiao chuckled and spoke to her. ”Yinglin, my husband has always been like this, so you don’t need to be surprised by his decision. Those guards will report to their leaders about him, and I’m sure one of them will come to see us soon, especially after they learn of his status as a god-rank alchemist. No matter how weak his cultivation is, no one dares to underestimate a god-rank alchemist. Moreover, doctors and alchemists are quite closely related, so I’m sure they won’t waste the opportunity to build a relationship with him.”

Fei Yinglin was aware of this, but she felt guilty that Zhang Fei had missed the chance to meet with the Zhi Clan due to her and her partner’s presences.

”So, where is the second-best medical clan in this domain?”

”Elder Zhang, they also live in this city.” You Shiyan then pointed to the house far ahead of them. ”The Qiao Clan is the best medical clan after the Zhi Clan, and Qiao Yisheng is their best doctor.”

Zhang Fei looked at the residence and checked it through the map, where he found Qiao Yisheng together with many people. ”Let’s go there.”

Since the two clans weren’t too far, they quickly arrived at the Qiao Clan. However, the guards asked them to wait because the line ahead of them was still long.

Unlike the guards of the Zhi Clan, the guards of the Qiao Clan only glanced at Fei Yinglin and You Shiyan, and they didn’t say anything about the two, let alone insult them.

Zhang Fei didn’t show his alchemist badge to them, and he brought all his wives to wait in line at the teahouse in front of the Qiao Clan. You Shiyan and Fei Yinglin didn’t join them, and they queued in his stead.

At the Zhi Clan, the guard arrived at a room where a middle-aged man was chatting and joking with a middle-aged woman. ”Patriarch Zhi Qingshong! Madam Nie Shuyin!”

”Hmm?” Zhi Qingshong looked at the guard and asked, ”What happened? Why are you in such a hurry?”

The guard immediately informed the two of the arrival of Zhang Fei and his entourage, and he also told them about his status as a god-rank alchemist, which shocked both of them.

”Are you sure his alchemist badge is genuine?” Nie Shuyin doubtfully asked. ”If what you say is true and he is still that young, then he shouldn’t have reached that stage. At least, he needs hundreds or even thousands of years to reach it.”

”Madam, I don’t know whether his alchemist badge is genuine or not, but he dares to mention Senior Jin Nanqing’s name without his title.”

Nie Shuyin raised an eyebrow after hearing the name from the guard because Jin Nanqing was the best male alchemist in the Paradise Realm, and everyone respected him greatly, including their Zhi Clan.

Zhi Qingshong immediately spoke to Nie Shuyin. ”Wife, contact your Nie Clan members in the Divine Samsara Sect and ask them to see Jin Nanqing or his disciples. This way, we can confirm the authenticity of that young man’s status, and I will go see him myself if he is truly a god-rank alchemist.”

”Okay.” Nie Shuyin followed her husband’s orders directly.

Zhi Qingshong then asked the guard. ”Where are they now?”

”Patriarch, that young man wants to find doctors to treat one of his wives, so—”

”The Qiao Clan.” Zhi Qingshong spread his senses toward the clan to look for Zhang Fei and the others.

Even though they had never met before, the guard’s previous explanation made it easy for Zhi Qingshong to find Zhang Fei and his party at the teahouse in front of the Qiao Clan.

However, Zhi Qingshong’s expression turned to shock as soon as Zhang Fei repelled his senses and tracked him back. ’What the hell? How could such a young cultivator like him do that?’ ”Go back to your post.”

”Yes, Patriarch.”

After waiting for some time, Nie Shuyin informed Zhi Qingshong of the answer from the Nie Clan members. ”Husband, Jin Nanqing was out with Liang Huizhong, so they didn’t meet him. However, they met Luo Lianjin there, who informed them that a young alchemist had indeed reached the god-rank level. According to him, his name was Zhang Fei, and he was the one who tested him during his alchemist rank test. However, he forbade him to publicize his status, so not many people knew about him.”

”Zhang Fei? The Zhang Clan from the Starfall Martial Domain?” Zhi Qingshong looked at Nie Shuyin with disbelief.

Nie Shuyin shook her head at Zhi Qingshong. ”According to Luo Lianjin, Zhang Fei has no relationship with the Zhang Clan from the Starfall Martial Domain, and he ascended to this realm several years ago. But—”

”But what?” Nie Shuyin immediately told Zhi Qingshong some of the information that the Nie Clan members had gotten from Luo Lianjin. ”Is that true? Does Zhang Fei really have connections with Empress Huo?”

Nie Shuyin nodded to Zhi Qingshong. ”Empress Huo never hid her identity, and she accompanied Zhang Fei to the Forbidden Land back then. Additionally, he married the only daughter of Luo Fenghan and Huang Xiaoyi shortly after he ascended to this realm, so he is the son-in-law of the Immortal Lotus Sanctuary.”

”Did they tell you any other information about Zhang Fei?”

Nie Shuyin released a soft sigh. ”Luo Lianjin also told them that Zhang Fei was an elder of the Moonlit Passion Temple, and he changed the sect completely. That sect was no longer a dual cultivation sect but a universal sect, and he brought many talented people to join the sect.”

”Talented people?”

”Yes.” Nie Shuyin nodded lightly. ”Zhang Fei brought Tian Shuixiang and Lin Jingxia into the sect, and both of them were god-rank alchemists like him.”

”What?” Zhi Qingshong let out a low cry in shock.

Nie Shuyin’s next explanation shocked Zhi Qingshong further. ”Besides the two of them, Zhang Fei also brought people with extensive experience in various fields, such as blacksmithing, formation arrays, soul cultivation, sword cultivation, and many more.”

”That’s—”

”Wait a minute.” Nie Shuyin stopped her husband and listened to the incoming voice message. ”Luo Lianjin is on his way here, and he will arrive soon. Therefore, we should wait for him to arrive, and we will ask him for more details about Zhang Fei.”

Zhi Qingshong nodded in agreement. ”If Zhang Fei is truly that great, we shouldn’t waste this opportunity to build a good relationship with him. I don’t know what ails one of his wives, but I’m sure Zhi Qian and Zhi Shen can cure her, so we should make the most of this opportunity.”

”However, you forget that Qiao Yisheng’s medical abilities are not inferior to Zhi Qian and Zhi Shen, and Zhang Fei is in his clan right now.” Zhi Qingshong’s expression turned gloomy after Nie Shuyin mentioned that. ”I don’t know if Luo Lianjin can help us establish a relationship with him, but we should wait for him to come first. Moreover, the queue at the Qiao Clan is too long, and Zhang Fei won’t be able to meet Qiao Yisheng so quickly.”

Zhi Qingshong agreed with her. ”As soon as Luo Lianjin arrives, we will immediately go to meet Zhang Fei at the teahouse.”
