Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 920: Enemies Arrival

Long Zhenxia and her family once again visited the Dragon Clan, especially since her parents had agreed to leave that realm and settle in another realm. They left quickly after packing their things, fearing Zhang Feiʼs ability would affect them again as their clanʼs situation worsened.

”Have you left a message for Feng Shanxi?” Long Xinran asked her daughter.

Long Zhenxia responded with a slight nod. ”My master is in seclusion with Zhang Fei, so I canʼt say goodbye to her directly. However, I have left a letter for her, and Elder Feng Xishui will help me to deliver it to her.”

”At least you left the letter.” Long Xinran turned to her son. ”How about you?”

”Iʼve also left a letter for my master.” Long Taiyuan then asked. ”Which realm are we going to now?”

”We have several options, but we havenʼt decided yet.” Long Xiaogang took out his flying artifact. ”The Mirage Heaven Realm is our best choice, but we will think about it again on the way.”

Following this, Long Xiaogang escorted his family onto the flying artifact, and they swiftly departed from the realm.

Long Zhenxia stood alone at the stern as she stared at the floating island, or rather the location of the Phoenix Clan. ”I wanted to learn many things about alchemy from you, but unfortunately, the situation does not allow it, especially with the problems between you and my clan. Although we donʼt have any relationship, I hope for the best for you, especially since my bloodline now flows in your body.”

Above the Blazing Phoenix Sect, Feng Xishui and Feng Yongheng stood side by side, staring at the flying artifact. ”Why did Zhang Fei let them go?”

”Do you think Zhang Fei is that cruel?” Feng Yongheng nodded to Feng Xishui. ”Even though he is quite ruthless, he still has his humanity. He doesnʼt have any problems with them, so you donʼt need to be confused by his decision to let them go.”

”What about Long Zhenxia?”

”Ha ha.” Feng Xishui laughed at that. ”You met Feng Yichen before, so you should already understand Zhang Feiʼs criteria for choosing women. Long Zhenxia may be a dragon and beautiful, but she is still inferior to him or his other women.”

”I have never met his other women, but Feng Yichen is indeed extraordinarily beautiful and powerful.” Feng Yongheng paused for a while. ”Long Zhenxia pales in comparison to our princess, and Zhang Feiʼs connection with her enables me to comprehend his standards in matters concerning women.”

”All of Zhang Feiʼs women are not inferior to our princess or Feng Yichen in terms of beauty, and I believe their strength will reach their level in the future.” Feng Xishui released a heavy sigh before continuing. ”Long Qiang and the other four will arrive at this realm in two months, and a one-sided battle will occur at that time.”

”Feng Yichen is stronger than Ancestor Shen and Ancestor Xueying, so Long Qiang and the others are simply courting death by coming to this realm to hunt Zhang Fei.” Feng Yongheng then turned toward the Dragon Clan. ”This realm is their ancestral land, yet the impending battle will alter their destiny, likely leading to their marginalization after that day.”

Feng Xishui nodded at him. ”We donʼt need to think about them because Zhang Fei already has plans for them, and we have to focus on ourselves, especially since he will take us to the Paradise Realm in the future. With our current strength, we canʼt even face Long Qiang and the others, let alone if we have to face cultivators from that realm.”

”Yeah, youʼre right.”

Two weeks later, Zhu Lingyao arrived at the Vermilion Realm, and she went straight to see her parents, who had been waiting for her. However, she only found her mother, and her father had gone to another realm.

”Iʼve heard about you and Zhang Fei, but I didnʼt expect that youʼd already done intimate things with him, Yaoʼer.” Zhu Ning spoke as soon as her second daughter arrived.

Zhu Lingyao smiled at her mother. ʼIsnʼt this what youʼve always hoped for, Mother? Iʼve already decided to accept Zhang Fei, and weʼll get married someday.ʼ

”Yeah.” Zhu Ning nodded her head slightly. ”Unfortunately, our situation is not good, especially since your sister is too stubborn. Your father and I have been trying to persuade her for the past two weeks, but she just ignored us.”

Zhu Lingyao embraced Zhu Ningʼs shoulders and led her to sit with her. ʼMother, I know your worries, but Zhang Fei already told me that he wouldnʼt kill my sister.ʼ

”What are his plans for your sister?” Zhu Lingyao immediately told Zhu Ning about Zhang Feiʼs plans for Zhu Shanniang, shocking her. ”Can... can you persuade him to abandon his plans?”

ʼNo.ʼ Zhu Lingyao answered with a shake of her head. ʼMother, you donʼt understand Zhang Feiʼs character, and he is much more ruthless than senior cultivators like our ancestors. He will never spare his enemies, especially those who try to kill him. He had warned my sister not to look for trouble with her, and he had also told her that he was not part of the Heavenly Fox Race, but she still insisted on looking for trouble with him. Since she didnʼt listen to him, he already considered her an enemy.ʼ

Zhu Ningʼs expression turned gloomy after hearing that news, and she was genuinely concerned about Zhu Shanniangʼs safety if she encountered Zhang Fei later. ”What do you mean by heʼs not part of the Heavenly Fox Race?”

ʼHe was born as an ordinary mortal in a mortal realm, and he knew nothing about cultivation at that time.ʼ Zhu Ning found it difficult to believe Zhu Lingyaoʼs answer, considering Zhang Feiʼs cultivation level and all his previous actions. ʼI canʼt explain the details to you, but he became a Heavenly Fox because of an accident that killed him, and he has been a cultivator ever since. In fact, he intended to kill Tian Baitian and Tian Baixing, especially since they repeatedly sent their younger generations to kill him. He killed some of them, and he enslaved the rest.ʼ

Zhu Ning looked at her daughter in shock. ”Do you know the reason they want to kill Zhang Fei?”

ʼZhang Fei hasnʼt told me the truth, but I suspect that it has something to do with the ten-tailed fox.ʼ As a mythical beast, Zhu Ning naturally knew that Tian Baitian and Tian Baixing were Hu Tianlangʼs direct descendants, but she was confused by Zhang Feiʼs connection to them, especially since Zhu Lingyao said that he turned into a Heavenly Fox due to an accident. ʼDo you remember the prophecy?ʼ

”You mean the prophecy left by the ten-tailed fox, right?”

ʼZhang Fei is the man in the prophecy, especially since he is a human, a heavenly fox, and a demon.ʼ Zhu Ningʼs eyes widened as she gasped in shock after Zhu Lingyao said that. ʼBy the way, no one can stop him now, including the Nameless One. He has already surpassed all the ancestors of the mythical beasts by using his special ability, and he also has many powerful beasts by his side.ʼ

”Then, what about your sister? Are we really going to let her become Zhang Feiʼs wifeʼs mount? Is there no other way to save her?” Zhu Ning asked in a gloomy tone.

Zhu Lingyao let out a soft sigh and grabbed her motherʼs hands, rubbing them to calm her. ʼMother, I donʼt want something like that to happen to my sister, but we have no other way to save her, especially since Zhang Fei has already made his decision clear. If we force him to let him go, he might kill him, and you definitely donʼt want that to happen, right?ʼ

”Yes.” Zhu Ning nodded slightly.

Zhu Lingyao continued immediately. ʼZhang Fei never treats women badly, even if they are his enemies, so Iʼm sure he wonʼt treat her badly. My sister might feel miserable if that happened to her, but I think itʼs the best punishment for her stupidity. If one day she can change her character and get rid of her stupid thoughts from her mind, she might get a better place by his side.ʼ

”You mean.” Zhu Lingyao nodded at Zhu Ning. ”I hope youʼre right about that, especially since I donʼt want your sister to suffer because of her stupidity.”

Zhu Lingyao smiled at her mother. ʼTrust me, my sister wonʼt suffer, and sheʼll probably enjoy herself once she gets used to the situation later.ʼ

”Hmm?” Zhu Ning looked at her daughter with a suspicious look. ”How long will you stay here? You havenʼt met your father yet, and I want to hear about your relationship with Zhang Fei.”

ʼI canʼt stay here for too long, and I have to go back to Zhang Fei to help him.ʼ Zhu Ning sighed in disappointment, and Zhu Lingyao immediately explained to him several things, including her relationship with him and his other women.

Zhu Ning was stunned for quite a while after she found out that Zhang Fei had dozens of women by his side, but she could see that her daughter didnʼt mind his relationship with those women. Zhu Lingyao then told her about the situation in their residence, including the relationships between all the women who lived there.

”Is their relationship really that harmonious?”

ʼHehe.ʼ Zhu Lingyao giggled. ʼI didnʼt expect it at first either, but their relationship is really harmonious, and there is almost no jealousy between them.ʼ

Zhu Ning suddenly received a voice transmission and informed her daughter directly. ”Your father will be back soon, and since you havenʼt been home for a long time, we will have dinner together while discussing your sisterʼs matter.”

ʼYes, Mother.ʼ

Time passed quickly, and Zhu Lingyao decided to return to the Xianjin Realm after she spent some time with her parents. Zhu Jiang and Zhu Ning asked her to try to persuade Zhang Fei about her sister, and she agreed to their request, even though she knew it wouldnʼt work.

Like her departure to the Vermilion Realm, it took Zhu Lingyao two weeks to arrive at the Xianjin Realm. Upon arrival, she immediately contacted Zhang Fei through his clone, who was training in the Raging Thunder Realm.

Zhang Fei quickly picked Zhu Lingyao up and brought her back to the pavilion, where they spent some intimate time together.

As per her parentsʼ request, Zhu Lingyao tried to talk to Zhang Fei about Zhu Shanniang, but he firmly rejected her request. She did not persuade him further, especially since she herself wanted her sister to be punished for her stupidity.

In the Demon Purgatory Realm, Zhang Fei [1] stood side by side with Serpentera, Tian Kui, and Wang Yin. The four of them stared at the moon that was getting redder, and its color was increasingly like blood.

”This phenomenon has started to kill the demons in this realm, so I think the Blood Flame will appear in the near future.” Wang Yin spoke gloomily.

Tian Kui then asked Zhang Fei [1]. ”Are you sure you can overcome your bloodthirst when you absorb the Blood Flame, kid? If you fail to control it and fall into its grip, you will turn into a bloodthirsty killer. At that time, you will kill everyone in front of you, regardless of whether they are friends or foes.”

”I know your worries, but Iʼm confident I can control it.” Zhang Fei [1] then extended his fist upwards. ”I hope this phenomenon will end soon so I can get the Blood Flame, which will make my flame much stronger.”

”Do you need our help, kid?”

Zhang Fei [1] turned to Serpentera and shook his head. ”Those mythical beasts are indeed powerful, but they are not as strong as Feng Yichen. Iʼve been preparing to face them for months, so Iʼll handle them with some of my women.”

”I see.” Serpentera nodded in understanding. ”What exactly did you do for your partners who live in this realm? Iʼve been watching them for months, and their progress has been incredible; even their demon rank has risen quickly.”

”Haha.” Zhang Fei [1] laughed softly. ”I didnʼt do anything for them, and I only dual cultivate with them every day. Furthermore, given that my cultivation has already surpassed all of theirs, itʼs only logical for theirs to grow exponentially, right? Although my demon rank is still not as high as the two of you, my demon rank is already high enough for the three mortal realms, and my demon power has significantly increased their demon rank.”

”Yeah, youʼre right.” Serpentera patted his shoulder. ”I donʼt know what your future holds, but I think you might make it to the Primordial Demon level one day, and I will always look forward to that day.”

”Hahaha!” Tian Kui laughed loudly as he slapped Zhang Fei [1]ʼs shoulder. ”If you manage to reach the Celestial God realm in your cultivation and achieve the Primordial Demon rank, Iʼm sure you can face all the cultivators in the Paradise Realm, including immortal evil beasts like Taotie and others.”

”Even if I manage to achieve both in the future, I still wonʼt be strong enough to face the Primordial Nihility Beast, right?” Tian Kui and Serpentera released heavy sighs as they nodded to Zhang Fei [1]. ”Haha! Why are you guys sighing so heavily? Have you two forgotten that I still have one more identity? According to the information I got, the old ten-tailed fox has strength equivalent to that primordial beast, so we still have a chance to defeat it. However, evolving into the ten-tailed form is quite difficult, and I still need to collect the other souls.”

”Donʼt worry about the future; just focus on the road ahead.” Tian Kui nodded in agreement with Serpentera.

”Yeah.” Zhang Fei [1] then turned to leave. ”Iʼll continue my seclusion now.”

In the pavilion, Zhang Fei fully devoted his attention to all his women, both official and unofficial. He always helped them in their normal cultivation, body cultivation, and soul cultivation. He didnʼt forget to visit the two sword spirits, Jian Heiʼan and Jian Guangʼan. Besides, he also dual-soul cultivated with Nalan Yushu and Huli Yaohu.

Naturally, Zhang Fei also continued to visit the female beasts in the beast space, especially the half-breed of Qilin and Golden Crow, Lei Huoting.

Besides all that, Zhang Fei also decided to break through to the 2-Star Sovereign Realm after he stabilized his cultivation using one advanced-grade true foundation pill.

Feltia [2], Zhang Xiaolong [3], and Zhang Fei [4] not only dual cultivated with their respective partners, but whenever their partners were tired, they busied themselves with other things, such as blacksmithing, alchemy, and body tempering.

Meanwhile, Zhang Fei [5] was fully dedicated to his cultivation in the Raging Thunder Realm, but he also continued to enhance his mastery of the Nine Heavens Lightning Art, despite having already mastered all nine sub-techniques.

Zhang Fei [5] was a little disappointed after Long Jiutian and Chao Mojie told him that they had not managed to find Mo Zhuo, especially since he was eager to absorb his demon power. He ordered them to continue tracking the last of Xerethʼs men.

A month had passed.

[Congratulations! The hostʼs body cultivation has broken through to the Bone Forging Stage.]

[The hostʼs raw strength has increased by 20 percent, and endurance by 20 percent.]

Zhang Fei [5], who was cultivating in the hole in the Thunderfall Gorge, immediately opened his eyes. He clenched both fists. ”I have reached the 3-Star Sovereign Realm in my cultivation, and I have also made another breakthrough in my body cultivation. This way, I am even more prepared to face Long Qiang and the others. Only five true foundation pills are left, but they are enough to help me break through to the eighth stage. I hope Huoyun Zhiyan and the others will succeed in concocting more of the pill so I can quickly reach the Quasi Divine Realm.”

Zhang Fei [5] suddenly received a voice transmission, and he turned to Hong Xinxin, who was also cultivating there in her beast form. ”Xinxin, theyʼve arrived, so weʼre going there now.”
