Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 883: Informations

The flame salamander had returned to Feltia [2]ʼs side and informed him about the Earth Flameʼs soul. However, he didnʼt want to be bothered with it now, and he asked Huo Yan to forget about the flame for now.

The flame salamander was disappointed by that, but it still followed Feltia [2]ʼs wishes, and it began to absorb the fire element inside the volcano.

In the area below, the cultivators began to have difficulty climbing once they reached half the area of the Hellblaze Volcano, and most of them could barely move due to the heavy gravity pressure in the area.

The five cultivators from the Sovereign Heaven Realm, who were accustomed to the five times gravity, began to experience difficulties, particularly Yuan Tianling and Yuan Tianhua. They were forced to take repeated breaks to rest their bodies, but they were lucky because the number of lava beasts that appeared was not as many as before, and the obstacles were also starting to decrease.

”I didnʼt expect the gravity to be heavier than in our realm.” Yuan Tianhua said as she wiped her sweat.

Yuan Tianling repeatedly checked other areas for Zhang Fei [4], but he intentionally hid himself from her group. ”How many more days until we reach the peak?”

Yuan Tiankong and Yuan Tianjie shook their heads at him, but Yuan Tianxie immediately gave his estimate. ”The gravity in the upper area will be heavier than this, so I think we will only be able to reach the peak in two to three days.”

”Iʼm afraid that fox has already reached that place, and he might be ahead of us in getting the Earth Flame.” Yuan Tiankong said this.

”Why should you worry about him?” Yuan Tianjie asked. ”Even if he managed to arrive there faster than us, he wouldnʼt necessarily be able to obtain the Earth Flame. That flame is not an ordinary flame, and it has a soul spirit, so Iʼm sure the process of obtaining it wonʼt be easy.”

”All right, you guys donʼt need to think about that kid and the flame, and you should focus on recovering your condition. Once we recover, we will start climbing again.” The other four nodded in agreement with Yuan Tianxie, and they immediately closed their eyes, focusing on recovering their condition.

Unlike them, Zhang Fei [4] climbed at a leisurely pace, and Mei told him the whereabouts of several locations with abundant cultivation resources. Since there werenʼt many people in those areas, he decided to check them one by one.

The two assassins, Ying Yuan and Ying Huan, had returned to their base and reported to the old man about the results. However, the old man didnʼt seem to believe their story about Zhang Fei [5], so he asked them to share their memories with him.

After he witnessed their fight with Zhang Fei [5], the old man immediately contacted Long Jishan and Long Yingwu. Unfortunately, their souls were still imprisoned within the Abyssal Mirror, and they gave him no answers.

The old man ordered Ying Yuan and Ying Huan to recover their condition first, and he left their base for the floating island.

Ying Yuan and Ying Huan informed Zhang Fei [5] of the old manʼs departure, and the two immediately moved to use his pills on their other members.

Zhang Fei [5] immediately checked the last beastʼs corpse, took the beast core, and opened the map to track the old man.

Feng Xishui suddenly appeared in front of him. ”Did you do something to the Dragon Clan? I just got information that they sealed their clan since yesterday.”

”Yeah.” Zhang Fei [5] then told him about his actions against the Dragon Clan, leaving him stunned for a while. ”Their lust will continue to spiral out of control as long as I donʼt withdraw my pink gas from their bodies, and they will continue to have sex until they die. Luckily, they are dragons with high stamina, so they wonʼt die anytime soon.”

”Haha.” Feng Xishui laughed out loud as he imagined the situation in the Dragon Clan. ”Does that mean all of them are in that kind of condition now?”

”Not really.” Zhang Fei [5] looked toward the Dragon Clan. ”I injected a little into Long Jishanʼs body, so only a few should be affected.” Since they sealed their clan, that means Long Aotian and the important people of the clan were affected by it. By the way, we have to be prepared because Iʼm sure Long Qiang will send members from their main clan to this realm, and they will probably arrive in a few days or weeks.”

Feng Xishui nodded and patted his shoulder. ”You donʼt need to worry about them because Feng Yongheng and I have already prepared everything. We will fight them if they decide to go to war with us. It might be more effective to take alternative actions against Long Aotian and others to reduce the number of individuals we need to fight.”

Zhang Fei [5] had already arrived at the Phoenix Clan, and he found Feng Qingmeng already waiting for him there. However, he was confused by the presence of some of the leaders of the other beast clans, so he checked the map, finding that their names were still green. ”Why are you all gathered here?”

”Do you have a problem with their main clans, Zhang Fei?” Yan Jinwu, the matriarch of the Golden Crow Clan, asked him back.

Zhang Fei [5] shook his head. ”I met some of them when they left the Sun Tower, but I havenʼt met them since then. However, I can feel hostility from some of them, such as Wang Wugui, Dai Hubai, and Huli Xianniang.”

”Dai Hubai asked me to find a way to capture you, but he didnʼt explain the details to me.” Dai Baihu, the patriarch of the White Tiger Clan, told him.

Wang Guzhe also informed him. ”Wang Wugui also asked me to do the same, but I will not follow his wishes without a detailed explanation. Since you said you never had any problems with them, I will ignore his order even if he punishes me later.”

”Thank you, Old Wang.” Wang Guzhe waved his hand while shaking his head at Zhang Fei [5].

”I think I know the reason behind Huli Xianniangʼs hostility toward you.” Zhang Fei [5] turned to Huli Haohao. ”She has a close relationship with Zhu Shanniang, and that woman has always hated the Heavenly Fox Race for no apparent reason.”

Zhang Fei [5] frowned at that. ”Isnʼt it ridiculous that Huli Xianniang is hostile to me for such a reason? Iʼve already told Zhu Shanniang that Iʼm not part of the Heavenly Fox Race, and Iʼve also told her about my intention to defeat their two ancestors, Tian Baitian and Tian Baixing.”

ʼHaohao isnʼt wrong about that, Fei.ʼ Zhang Fei [5] looked at Zhu Lingyao, who had just arrived. ʼI had a big fight with my sister last night because she asked me to capture you, but as usual, she was unwilling to give me a clear reason. Thus, I refused her request, and I asked her to capture you herself.ʼ

Feng Qingmeng then spoke. ”Zhang Fei, I think Dai Hubai and Wang Wuguiʼs hostility toward you is because of Long Qiang. The three of them are not close friends, but they also need each other. That dragon knows that he cannot attack you by himself because of your status, so he probably asked them to work together with him to fight you. However, they wonʼt possibly help him just like that, and I think there is something else behind this problem.”

”I agree with Qingmeng, Zhang Fei.” Dai Baihu and Wang Guzhe simultaneously spoke.

Zhang Fei [5] fell into thought after hearing that, especially since he had no problems with the other mythical beast races, except for his problem with the Dragon Clan. Moreover, they didnʼt know anything about him, except for his status as a heavenly fox. ʼWhat really happened? What was the reason behind Wang Wugui and Dai Hubaiʼs decision to help Long Qiang?ʼ

[Master, I think I know the answer.]

ʼWhatʼs that?ʼ

[The ten-tailed foxʼs prophecy about you.] Zhang Fei [5] raised an eyebrow. [Since Long Huang and Long Baiyun know about it, Iʼm sure they also know about it, especially their ancestors. They should have known about your three identities, so they know that you are his heir. You yourself know that the ten-tailed fox is powerful, and its strength far surpasses theirs. Some mythical beast races might not worry too much about it, but some of them may not want a beast more powerful than them to exist in this universe, mainly because of their pride.]

Zhang Fei [5] nodded slightly. ʼThey are afraid that I will suppress them if I become as strong as the ten-tailed fox, so some of them want to get rid of me before I become stronger.ʼ

[Thatʼs right.]

ʼIf thatʼs true, Iʼm sure Huli Xianniang is hostile toward me not only because of Zhu Shanniang, but she hates me because sheʼs afraid that Iʼll surpass and suppress her.ʼ Zhang Fei [5] then recalled certain events. ʼHowever, the names of Huli Jinhu and Huli Zhishen were still green on the map before they left the Xianjin Realm, so they were not hostile to me, and it was probably her own decision.ʼ

[I think so, Master. So far, we know the ancestors of the Dragon Clan, the Black Tortoise Clan, and the White Tiger Clan are hostile towards you. Meanwhile, the ancestors of the other mythical beast clans have not shown any hostility towards you at all. From the Phoenix Clan, only Feng Shen is hostile towards you, which is because of the Divine Phoenix Totem.]

ʼIʼm not too worried about Feng Shen, and Iʼm confident that I can defeat him if we fight one-on-one. However, the situation will be a little complicated if he asks the others to help him, and I canʼt possibly defeat them all at once.ʼ Zhang Fei [5] stole a glance at Huli Haohao and the others. ʼThey are not hostile towards me now, but they might change sides if their ancestors order them to make a move against me. I have to think of something about them so they wonʼt interfere in this matter.ʼ

[Hehehe! Feng Qingmeng and Zhu Lingyao will definitely not be hostile to you, especially since one is loyal to Feng Yao and the other has already halfway fallen for you. As for the Golden Crow and Golden Fox Clans, you can try to approach Huli Haohao and Yan Jinwu first, and they will definitely be loyal to you if you manage to subdue them.]

”Zhang Fei?”

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei [5] looked at them. ”I think I know their reasons for being hostile towards me, but I donʼt want to think about them right now. If they come at me one by one, Iʼll fight them head-on. If they intend to gang up on me, I just need to hide for a few years in seclusion, and Iʼll fight them once I come out.”

Dai Baihu released a heavy sigh. ”Kid, I donʼt know what really happened, but I hope we will never become enemies.”

”I hope the same.” Wang Guzhe said as he walked to the exit. ”The cultivation world is never calm, and problems always come and go. I donʼt know if my wish will come true, but I hope for the presence of someone who can bring peace to this universe. Some people still continue to follow their ambitions, but some want to live in peace, like me. The older I get, the more I want a peaceful life.”

”Hahaha.” Yan Jinwu laughed upon hearing that and walked to Wang Guzheʼs side. ”Peace is the rarest thing in the cultivation world, and many people hope that peace will come one day. If the peacemaker is going to appear, I hope he or she will appear soon.”

After that, Dai Baihu, Wang Guzhe, and Yan Jinwu immediately left the Phoenix Clan.

Huli Haohao wanted to leave, but Zhang Fei [5] immediately stopped her. ”Senior, I want to know something about your golden fox clan.”

”What do you want to know about my clan?” Zhang Fei [5] immediately asked Huli Haohao about a male golden fox who married a moon fox, causing her to frown. ”How did you know about that?”

Zhang Fei [5] couldnʼt possibly tell Huli Haohao the truth. ”I learned about this matter from Feng Yao, and I was curious about it.”

”I see.” Huli Haohao nodded in understanding. ”Feng Yao is right; there was a male golden fox who married a moon fox. They had several descendants, but our race rejected their descendants because they were of mixed blood. Since then, they have lived in exile, and they should still be alive now.”

”Oh?” Zhang Fei [5] was surprised to hear that, as he thought that the golden fox race would kill them.

As if knowing Zhang Feiʼs thoughts, Huli Haohao spoke to him again. ”Our race is not that cruel, and we will not kill those who choose to marry other fox races. In fact, there were many of them in the past, but some of them are dead now.”

”Do you know where they live?”

”The male golden fox marries the moon fox, right?” Zhang Fei [5] nodded at Huli Haohao. ”If I remember correctly, they live in the Hidden Mist Forest in the Mirage Heaven Realm. Why are you so curious about them?”

”Nothing.” Huli Haohao suspiciously looked at Zhang Fei [5], but he responded with a tease. ”Compared to them, I am more curious about you, Senior.”

ʼHere we go again!ʼ Feng Qingmeng and Zhu Lingyao said in their hearts.

”Are you thinking of seducing me, Kid?” Huli Haohao stole a glance at Feng Qingmeng and Zhu Lingyao. ”You can seduce them, but you wonʼt be able to seduce me.”

”Is that true, Senior?” Zhang Fei [5] then stood in front of Huli Haohao and silently activated his enhanced demon charm, causing her heart to flutter. ”Nothing is impossible in my dictionary, especially concerning women. You are beautiful and sexy, but you waste both of them in your solitude. Why donʼt you open yourself to your happiness? There are many beautiful places in this universe, and traveling through them with the one we love would be so much fun.”

”Happiness, huh?” Huli Haohao muttered under her breath. ”I once had my happiness, but my lover destroyed it. Since then, I no longer have any trust in men, and I will never give my heart to any man, including you. Therefore, you must get rid of your desire to seduce me from your mind, especially since you will never succeed.”

Huli Haohao frowned as Zhang Fei [5] grabbed her hand, but her heartbeat quickened due to the effects of his enhanced demon charm. ”Why donʼt you give me a chance, Senior? Iʼm sure I can help you regain your happiness, and Iʼll make you happier than you were in the past.”

”Forget it.” Huli Haohao immediately pulled her hand back. ”Iʼm happy with my life, so I donʼt need your help.”

Zhang Fei [5] smiled to himself after Huli Haohao disappeared. Then, he turned to Feng Qingmeng and Zhu Lingyao. The female phoenix wanted to escape, but he moved faster than her.

Zhang Fei [5] embraced Feng Qingmengʼs waist and kissed her directly. ʼThis little bastard forcefully kissed me again!ʼ

Feng Qingmeng wanted to push him back, but Zhang Fei [5] suddenly teleported and grabbed Zhu Lingyao. He then teleported again, taking the two women to another place.

A while later, they arrived at the mountain slope, and Zhang Fei [5] released them.

”Why did you bring us here?” Feng Qingmeng asked in confusion as she looked around the area.

Instead, Zhang Fei [5] approached a rock and pressed it, surprising Feng Qingmeng as the door to the hidden staircase opened. ”Letʼs go in.”
