Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 819: The Demons

In a dark realm, dozens of demons gathered on a mountain that was intentionally flattened. They formed several lines and were led by several powerful demons, one of whom was Long Jiutian. They lined up around a giant demon statue with a rather terrifying appearance, and dozens of women from various races of living beings were lying under it.

”How about your tasks in the lower realm, Fa Ling? Did you succeed in finding the ten demon seeds?” Long Jiutian asked a female demon with a completely red body covered by a little black cloth, which accentuated her voluptuous body.

Fa Ling has two behemoth-like horns on her head, two bloody red eyes, two wings that are a combination of dragon wings and demon wings, and a long black tail behind her hips.

Fa Ling turned to Long Jiutian. ”One of my subordinates has succeeded in taking over the Tian Realm, but a human kid disrupted his plans by liberating it from him. The kid also brought many strong cultivators with him at that time. Furthermore, he has the ability to go to the Xian Realm, so I ordered one of them to exterminate the people from that realm.”

”Oh?” Long Jiutian and the other demons were shocked to hear that. ”Do they know that kidʼs identity?”

”No.” Fa Ling answered by shaking her head. ”As for the ten demon seeds, I havenʼt managed to find them because there was a big change in the Diyu Realm. All the demon rulers who cooperated with those birdmen were killed by someone, and that person also destroyed the portals connecting the two realms, which made me certain that the culprit was that human kid. I wanted to go to Earth myself to look for that kid, but our lord asked me to wait.”

”Where are your other subordinates now, Fa Ling?” A male demon with an appearance similar to Zhang Feiʼs lust demon lord form asked.

”I ordered them to go to the Wasteland Realm to wait for the appearance of the Abyssal Demon Heart, which I believe will appear in a few months.” Fa Ling then turned to ask a question. ”What about your tasks in the Blue Water Realm, Chao Mojie? Have you made any progress in capturing the Abyssal Leviathan Demon?”

”Not yet.” Chao Mojie replied with a soft sigh. ”That Abyssal Leviathan Demon is hiding in the Shunken Empire, and its location is too deep at the bottom of the sea. There are no water demons among us, and that beast is too powerful if we fight in the sea, so I repeatedly failed in my fights against it. My subordinates have been controlling the demons in that region, but for some reason, they are unable to enter the ruins.”

Fa Ling then asked Long Jiutian. ”What about the preparations to attack the Xianjin Realm? Have those humans carried out the plan?”

”Haha.” Long Jiutian laughed and answered confidently. ”I have long strengthened the people of the Huang Clan using my demon dragon blood, so they are strong now, and my subordinates are also assisting them from behind. With the absence of the Nameless One and the powerful cultivators in these upper realms, I am confident that we can swiftly conquer the realm.

”I hope youʼre right.”

*Scree*

A giant dark red bird suddenly descended from the sky towards the statue, and it quickly turned into a mature woman.

The woman has long, flowing dark red hair; her eyes were piercing dark with flickering dark red flames. Her face was incredibly alluring. Her waist was as lithe as a snake; she was able to mesmerize people with a single glance. She was wearing a simple and flimsy-looking black dress, which further accentuated her perfect figure.

However, the womanʼs demeanor was cold and aloof, and her aura gave off a chilling yet scorching presence, radiating both the cold of deathly stillness and the heat of dark red flames. Her dark red wings exuded both a destructive and ominous energy.

As soon as the woman touched the giant demon statue, it immediately glowed red, and all the demons present at that place right away knelt on one knee. Shortly, the statue came to life and stretched its body as he stared at them.

”Lord Xereth!” Long Jiutian and the others immediately greeted.

Xereth simply nodded at them and pulled the woman beside him into his arms. ”Are you ready to return to your realm, Feng Yichen? Your phoenix race is one of the obstacles for us to execute our main plans, so itʼs time for us to exterminate them.”

”Iʼm ready.” Feng Yichen curtly answered.

”Thatʼs good.” Xereth moved Feng Yichen aside and looked at the dozens of women below him. He raised his fingers and made them float in midair, but the next scene was extremely gruesome, especially since he absorbed everything in their bodies, including their blood, flesh, vitality, souls, and everything else. He also absorbed their skeletons, ensuring they died with nothing left behind.

After that, Xereth turned into one of the male demons. ”Have you managed to find the whereabouts of the demon extermination sword, Mo Xieshen?”

”Please forgive me, Lord Xereth. I have explored almost the entire universe, but I have not managed to find the whereabouts of the sword.” Mo Xieshen respectfully replied.

Fa Ling then spoke to Xereth. ”My lord, one of my subordinates saw a human kid holding a black sword when he disrupted my plans in the lower realms, and the sword might be the demon extermination sword you have been looking for.”

”Hmm?” Xereth pulled Fa Ling to him, placed his hands on her temples, and read her memories. His expression changed with excitement after he saw everything. ”Hahahaha! After several thousand years, I finally found that damn sword! The sword in that human kidʼs hand is truly the demon extermination sword!”

”Do you want me to go there to look for that human kid, Lord?” Fa Ling asked.

Xereth immediately released Fa Ling. ”Go to that realm and find that human kid for me! If he is hiding from you, you can destroy the realm to lure him out, and you must bring him and the sword to me afterward.”

”Yes, Lord.” Fa Ling took out her flying artifact and took her other subordinates to leave that realm.

Xereth then requested reports from the other demons, and they took turns reporting the progress of their plans. However, some of their reports made him angry, especially since they had not succeeded in carrying out their duties. ”Mo Xieshen, I want you to accompany Chao Mojie to the Blue Water Realm right now. I have run out of patience to capture the Abyssal Leviathan Demon, so I need you to destroy that realm and force that ancient demon out of hiding.”

”Yes, Lord.” Mo Xieshen and Chao Mojie did not stay there for long and took their subordinates away.

”When will we attack the Xianjin Realm, Lord?” Long Jiutian asked.

”We canʼt openly attack that realm because of their defense mechanism against our demon races, so you should order those foolish humans to start attacking them. Tell them to concentrate their attacks on their defense mechanism first, and our demon armies will invade that realm once they have destroyed their defense.” Long Jiutian immediately contacted the Huang Clan and ordered them to move according to Xerethʼs orders. ”Xue Yuemozi.”

”Yes, Lord Xereth.” A female demon with a jet-black body and bloody red eyes replied.

”What about the Blackthorn Abyss Realm? Have they found that female white demon wolf?” Xue Yuemozi shook her head at Xereth. ”What exactly happened there? How did they lose her?”

Xue Yuemozi immediately told Xereth about everything that happened in the Blackthorn Abyss Realm. ”I donʼt understand how Alder managed to escape from them, and he secretly took his daughter away from their realm. Since then, their whereabouts are unknown, and I suspect that they are hiding in one of the human realms or in the realm of other living creatures.”

”Which realms do you suspect?” Xue Yuemozi remained silent in response to Xerethʼs question, as she had no clear guess due to the vastness of their universe. ”Go and find the whereabouts of that female white demon wolf as soon as possible! If they canʼt find her within a year, I will destroy their realm.”

”Yes, Lord Xereth.” Xue Yuemozi and her subordinates immediately disappeared from that place.

A male demon looked up at Xereth and told him. ”My lord, Tian Baitian and Tian Baixing have been hiding their true strength all this time, and the demons of those realms are too weak to fight them. I almost died in their hands some time ago, and I was lucky to escape from them.”

”Hmm?” Xereth turned to him with a frown. ”Does that mean theyʼve reached the pinnacle of mortal cultivation, Mo Zhuo?”

”I think so, my lord.” Mo Zhuo then said something else. ”My lord, some of my subordinates discovered some unusual towers in the middle realms, but I donʼt have any clear information about them yet, especially since they died as soon as they entered.”

”Tell me their location.” Mo Zhuo informed him of the locations of several towers in the middle realms, and Xereth immediately ordered him and several demons to check each tower, so they hurried to leave that realm. ”Long Jiutian, go back to the Xianjin Realm now and report to me directly if any changes occur.”

”Yes, Lord.”

Xereth turned to Feng Yichen. ”Go to the Phoenix Realm and bring the two old phoenixes to me.”

Feng Yichen nodded before flying into the sky, and she returned to her dark phoenix form before flying away from the dark realm. The other demons also left the realm after Xereth gave them some new orders.

Xereth wanted to leave the realm, but hundreds of golden swords suddenly descended from the sky and rained down on him. He snorted and stomped his feet on the ground, and hundreds of black swords shot towards them before clashing with each other, causing a huge explosion in the air.

Soon, a woman with golden hair flowing down to her waist appeared in the sky. However, her face was not visible because she was wearing a white and gold mask; a tight white and gold dress wrapped her tall body from top to bottom, showing off her perfectly curvy and seductive figure, with two enormous mounds hanging over her chest. Golden gauntlets covered her hands, golden boots covered her feet, and two large golden wings flapped behind her back.

The woman looked at Xereth with her right hand raised upwards, and a golden sword materialized in her palm, which she immediately grasped.

Xerethʼs expression turned serious, and a black scythe appeared in his hand as a jet-black aura enveloped his body.

*Swoosh*

The woman and Xereth quickly flew towards each other, and their two weapons immediately clashed against each other, causing a huge wave of Qi to sweep across the entire realm, turning the area below them into a mess.

Both of them were knocked back by each otherʼs attacks, but they immediately attacked each other again, which once again resulted in a powerful explosion from the clash of their weapons.

In just a few minutes, Xereth and the woman had exchanged attacks hundreds of times, but neither of them had the upper hand against the other.

Xereth suddenly flew away from the woman. ”Tian Huangjin, no matter how strong you are, you will never be able to capture me. I would rather not waste my time with you, and I will visit your realm once again after I get everything I need. At that time, I will destroy your Radiance Domain, and I will absorb you and all the members of your race.”

The woman didnʼt say anything and swung her golden sword towards Xereth, and a golden light shot towards him. However, the demon had turned into a statue again, and her attacks shattered it into pieces.

The woman let out a sigh of disappointment after she failed to kill Xereth. She then turned her gaze towards the distance, feeling a familiar presence there. ”A human, a beast, and a demon coexist together in one body. I didnʼt expect to find such an existence in these mortal realms, and his light element is no less powerful than my race, even though he has a demon bloodline in his body. He was lucky because that filthy demon didnʼt seem to know anything about his existence, or else he would have captured him. However, he will face those demons when they attack his realm, and they will be a tough test for him. If he manages to overcome this danger and further develop himself, he might succeed in ascending to my realm, and I will meet him at that time.”

The woman stretched her hand forward, and a golden light shot out from it, heading towards the Xianjin Realm. She once again let out a soft sigh before disappearing from the dark realm.

”That bitch! Sheʼs been hunting me for thousands of years, but she still hasnʼt given up.” Xereth, who had moved to another realm, grumbled to himself.

Xereth then looked in a certain direction with narrowed eyes. ”My home realm should be in that direction, and Iʼve been away from that place for a long time, so itʼs time for me to return. Those old folks will not be happy to see me again, but they are no longer my opponents.”

”Hahaha! I havenʼt been to these three mortal realms for a long time, so Iʼm curious about the situation in my home realm, and I will use them to smooth out my plans.” Xereth immediately flew away from the realm at high speed. ”After I take care of them, I will go to the Heavenly Moon Realm to face Tian Baitian and Tian Baixing, and I will absorb both of them to increase my strength.”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] and Lin Moxian sat together on the tallest building in the Xianjin Realm. He brought his senior brother into an invisible state and monitored the Xiong Clan from their location. ”Our master and the others have already come out of the Sun Tower, and they are on their way to the Wasteland Realm now. I hope they can arrive at that realm sooner, or they will be too late.”

”Yeah.” Lin Moxian suddenly raised an eyebrow and pointed in a certain direction. ”The people from the Huang Clan have started to move.”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] looked in the direction Lin Moxian was pointing, and Mei immediately scanned their status before presenting them to her master. ”Where are they going?”

”If Iʼm not mistaken, that area is the defense center of this realm, so they probably want to take over the defense facilities.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] turned his head to Lin Moxian. ”The defense mechanism in this realm activates immediately if demons enter, so they must take over the area before bringing in their armies. Do you want to help them stop those people, junior brother?”

”Honestly, I would rather not get involved in this fight, but the upper realms will be filled with chaos if the demons succeed in taking over this realm. If that happens, I canʼt bring my family to the upper realms, and they will have to continue living in hiding, so I have no choice but to participate in this battle.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] and Lin Moxian immediately rose to their feet. ”Moreover, I have a hunch that those demons are related to the ones I met in the lower realms, so I want to investigate them.”

”Letʼs go there then.”
