Wrong Flirt, Right Trouble: His Uncle Pulls Me Close

Yara Scott was stunned too. She instinctively moved to cover her eyes, but it was too late. Nina Scott had already seen it.

”Your face... did he hit you?” Nina Scott looked toward Cameron Walker.

She knew Cameron Walker was no good, but she never expected him to actually be a wife-beater.

As a man who beat his own wife, Cameron Walker showed not a shred of shame. In fact, he seemed proud of it.

His expression was insufferably arrogant. He said, ”So what if I hit her? Didn’t she deserve it?”

”You don’t fight back?” Nina looked at Yara, unable to imagine her sister’s life had become like this.

She had originally thought Yara was just having a hard time, not that she was also a victim of domestic violence.

’If he dares to hit her like this in public, who knows what he’s like in private. I wonder how many beatings Yara has endured.’

”Does she dare fight back?” Cameron Walker even kicked out at Yara, then said, ”Go on, ask her if she dares to fight back. The bitch!”

”Yara, where’s your backbone? You...”

Nina didn’t even know what to say. She thought a scheming woman like Yara would surely fight for herself.

But now, it seemed Yara had no fight left in her at all.

Although Nina felt it was tragic, a Yara like this wasn’t worthy of sympathy.

This was all the consequence of Yara’s own actions. She was the one who brought this Cameron Walker into her life. And even if Cameron was a scumbag, Yara should have fought back. It was her own inaction.

’If this were me,’ Nina thought, ’even if it meant mutual destruction or dying together, I would never let the other person get even the slightest advantage.’

’I have nothing to lose anyway, just my own life. So what is there to be afraid of? I’d just go all out!’

Obviously, Yara didn’t think that way. She knew that if she resisted, she would only be beaten more severely.

”Shut up! Nina, what right do you have to say any of this?” Yara picked up her sunglasses and put them back on her face.

”I’m only like this because of you! You were the one who was supposed to marry him!” Yara’s tone was filled with venom and jealousy.

Nina: ”...”

”I’m really starting to wonder how your brain is wired. Has it short-circuited from disuse, or were you just born an idiot?”

Nina unleashed a verbal torrent, not holding back in her scolding of Yara.

She pointed at Cameron Walker. ”Get this straight. The one who made you like this, the one who beats you, the one who forced you to marry him—it has always been this man.”

”What did any of this have to do with me from the beginning? I was just protecting myself. And speaking of which, you were the one who invited this ’great Buddha’ into your life. You’re just reaping what you sowed. How can you blame anyone else?”

Cameron Walker was displeased. ”What’s that supposed to mean? What’s wrong with me? Ask her. Have I wronged her in any way?”

The more Cameron Walker saw of Nina’s personality, the more he liked it. ’This little firecracker’s spirit... she must be fun to play with.’

Yara had long since been broken by Cameron Walker, completely submissive. How could she dare say anything bad about him?

Yara shook her head. ”No.”

”Then tell me, am I not good to you?”

Yara cowered in fear and said, ”You are very good to me.”

Nina was stunned watching this scene. ’Forget it,’ she thought. ’I’ve said all I can say. This is really on Yara for not fighting back. It’s no one else’s fault.’

Besides, how Yara lived her life, whether it was good or bad, had nothing to do with her anymore.

Cameron Walker nodded with satisfaction. ”Did you hear that? She said it herself. I’m very good to her.”

”What were you all talking about just now, some kind of bet? Ten million, was it? Why don’t I get in on this?”

Cameron Walker’s gaze shifted to Miles Mercer, who stood behind Nina. He didn’t like the look of this man.

’Because Nina married this pauper, she didn’t end up with me. When you think about it, this man stole my woman.’

When it came to money, he, Cameron Walker, had never lost. And this guy actually dared to compete with him over money? ’Heh!’

Cameron couldn’t even be bothered to sneer, because he felt this man wasn’t even worthy of it.

Nina hadn’t expected another one with a death wish. She said, ”Sure, of course. What do you want to bet?”

Cameron Walker narrowed his eyes, looking at Nina with ill intent. ”How about this? If you lose, you spend a night with me. How about it?”

Just looking at Nina made his heart itch. He’d wanted a taste of her for a long time.

Nina felt like she was going to throw up. ’Doesn’t Cameron Walker ever look in a mirror and see if he’s even worthy?’

’How does a piece of shit like him have the gall to even exist in this world?’

Seeing Nina insulted like this, Miles Mercer was already displeased. ”You...”

He had just spoken a single word when Nina grabbed Miles Mercer’s arm. Then she smiled and nodded. ”Alright. But what if *you* lose? Why don’t you livestream yourself eating shit?”

Cameron Walker’s face instantly darkened. ’This Nina Scott... she actually wants me to livestream myself eating shit!’

’But there’s no way I can lose,’ he thought. ’Still, just in case... what if this pauper really does have ten million? After all, ten million isn’t that much.’

Cameron Walker said, ”That little bit of money? What’s the point of betting that? Let’s make it more interesting. A hundred million.”

’A hundred million. There’s no way this man can come up with that.’

Miles Mercer sneered. ’He has the nerve to suggest a mere hundred million?’

At that moment, Miles Mercer also spoke up. ”Why don’t we be a little more generous? How about we buy this entire store?”

Cameron Walker thought this man really had some nerve. ’Buy this store? Does he have any idea how much that would cost?’

’This isn’t something you can do just by talking big, something you can pull off with pure fantasy.’

’First of all, a single gown here costs ten million. Even if the other items are cheaper, buying this place would cost several billion at least. Does this man have that kind of money?’

Nina tugged on Miles Mercer’s sleeve. ”Hey, don’t be rash.”

’How is Miles more worked up than I am?’

’Although she also wanted to slap these people in the face, there was no need to spend that much money. Spending billions was really unnecessary.’

’It would be better to just withdraw all the cash and literally bury Cameron Walker alive with it!’

Cameron Walker said, ”Fine! If you can buy this place, I’ll livestream myself eating shit!”

Miles Mercer stared at him with cold eyes. ”Is just eating shit enough?”

’It’s different,’ Nina thought. ’It’s just different.’

When Cameron Walker said something so vulgar, it just felt sleazy. But when Miles Mercer said it, Nina didn’t feel that same sense of disgust.

’Miles looks so cool and aloof like this... it’s actually kind of hot!’

”Then what else do you want?” Cameron Walker asked.

Miles said, ”Why don’t you just castrate yourself? That thing of yours is always thinking about other people’s wives. It’s useless to keep it around.”

Nina gave Miles a thumbs-up. ’Classy.’

’When it comes to playing in the big leagues, my man Mercer is on another level.’

’But... is he saying this to get revenge for me?’

Nina had a feeling that Miles had deliberately raised the stakes this high because of how Cameron Walker had just insulted her.
