The Good for Nothing Seventh Young Lady

Chapter 342 – Cave Wolves Mercenary Corps’ Invitation (2)

The guest in front of him seemed to have a great understanding of the Phoenix.

The young man foolishly looked at his leader as he consulted the little guy who wasn’t even tall enough to reach his chest, his eyes almost fell out.

What the hell was with this situation?

Their domineering and mighty leader had actually ran to ask a little brat? And he even offered him a 10% discount! It must be known that in the entire Black City, those people who could get such a favorable offer from the Cave Wolves Mercenary Corps could only be counted with two or three fingers.

Was their leader’s brain had cramps today? He was actually being so generous?

The reason why Du Lang would give Shen Yanxiao such a big discount, naturally was because he had a plan. In the course of his transaction with Shen Yanxiao, he knew that the other side’s identity was definitely not as simple as what he was seeing on the surface. With his previous speculation and coupled with Shen Yanxiao’s god-like question, Du Lang subconsciously thought Shen Yanxiao as a mysterious master who had used that secret method to change his size and appearance. In the face of such existence, as the leader of a mercenary corps, naturally he would want to draw her over their side.

Of course, Du Lang was only half certain about this conjecture. The rest would be determined after listening to Shen Yanxiao’s explanation about the Phoenix.

If Shen Yanxiao really knew some secrets about the Phoenix that had already vanished for a long time, then it was very likely that she was really what he had thought her to be. After all, there were only a few people now in this world that have some understanding about this legendary magical beast.

Shen Yanxiao was a bit surprised with Du Lang’s generosity, but she didn’t refuse his meaning. Anyway, she also wanted to find the Phoenix’s nest. If she could have a good relation with the Cave Wolves Mercenary Corps, perhaps they could let her go with them to the Phoenix’s nest and help her to obtain the Inflammation Grass.

But Shen Yanxiao was also very clear that the understanding of the Human Race about the Phoenix was very scarce. If she told Du Lang everything that Xiu had told her, it could possibly cause her unnecessary trouble. So she was very cautious with her explanation,”My understanding of the Phoenix is not a lot. I just know that a Feng and a Huang respectively refers to a male Phoenix and a female Phoenix. Phoenix has different genders and has different names. Not all of them are called just Phoenix(Fenghuang).” In the final analysis, Phoenix(Fenghuang) was just a general term for this kind of magical beast. Like in her previous world, almost all of the people knew that Phoenix(Fenghuang) were all female. They didn’t know that Feng was a male Phoenix and Huang was a female Phoenix.

Shen Yanxiao’s words made Du Lang and the young man to glance at each other. They both saw a trace of astonishment in each other’s eyes.

Obviously, before they heard all of that, they had no idea that Phoenix had that meaning.

Du Lang narrowed his eyes. He pondered for a moment before he suddenly walked to Shen Yanxiao and said, “I don’t know if you have a free time, but I would like to invite you to join our Cave Wolves Mercenary Corps and participate in the task of the Phoenix. But you can rest assured that you don’t need to participate in the fight. You just need to tell us some information about the Phoenix at the appropriate time.” Du Lang was now very certain that this guest was definitely not a thirteen years old child.

[TL Sky: Well technically, she isn’t. So you got that somehow right.]

The information that she had just told them wasn’t something that could be found so easily even if they were to rummage the entire Radiance Continent.

Such knowledge, how could a young child know?

At Du Lang’s invitation, the young man had been completely shocked silly. He had almost suspected that his own leader had been switched with another person! He had actually invited a little kid to join their team?
