Mr. Law's Official Announcement: He is a Wife-Doting Fanatic!

Amidst the uproar from the crowd, Cecilia Vaughn slowly raised the teacup to her lips, while Fiona Vaughn’s eyes lit up ever brighter, her heart climbing to her throat.

However, just as Cecilia’s lips were about to touch the rim of the teacup, she suddenly stopped, as if something had crossed her mind.

”Fiona, since we’re here to reconcile, what’s the point of drinking tea? You’re pregnant, so I won’t make it difficult for you. I’ll have red wine instead; it’s more sincere.”

This little brat is indeed troublesome!

Fiona’s eyelids twitched violently for a moment, thinking she was about to switch cups, but when she heard Cecilia say she wanted red wine, she instead felt relieved.

”Alright, alright, sister, you can drink whatever you want, I’ll comply.”

Fortunately, Katherine North was astute earlier, smearing medicine around the edge of the cup. As long as Cecilia’s lips touched it, there should be a reaction within ten minutes!

...

Fiona’s face was amiable and smiling, her expression of joy and gratitude seemed genuine, which only made Cecilia’s heart suspect even more.

Could it be that their scheme wasn’t in the wine glass?

Cecilia squinted her eyes contemplatively into a straight line, but didn’t expose Fiona’s intentions, and instead turned to a nearby waiter with a light smile.

”Waiter, give me the bottle of red wine.”

Cecilia took the entire bottle of red wine, poured out the green tea in her cup, and filled it with red wine.

”I’m not good with alcohol, so I’ll just take a small sip. You won’t mind, will you?”

”No, not at all! Sister, as long as you’re willing to let bygones be bygones, I’ll down mine first, you just do as you please.”

Fiona downed her cup of green tea to show her sincerity.

Her heart was both tense and excited, her eyes like hooks, fixed unblinkingly on Cecilia’s face for fear of missing the moment she drank.

Cecilia watched Fiona’s every move from start to finish, not missing her tense demeanor.

If it wasn’t the green tea, then what could it be?

Earlier, Cecilia appeared to be chatting with the class president, but in the corner of her eye, she was always silently observing Fiona and Katherine North.

Cecilia wasn’t foolish; she knew exactly how many times her half-sister had tried to drug her. She had yet to turn the tables on Fiona for framing her and sending her to prison back then.

This routine of drugging to frame someone is such a cliché already. Doesn’t Fiona think to try something fresher?

...

With these sarcastic thoughts in mind, Cecilia gracefully raised her hand, using the sleeve of her large down jacket to slightly cover her, pretending to take a small sip.

The small amount of red wine spilled onto Cecilia’s sleeve, but she concealed it well.

Unless someone got up close, they wouldn’t be able to tell that she hadn’t actually drunk from the glass, nor had her lips even touched it.

—What if the drug was on the rim? It would be disastrous if she touched it.

Cecilia wasn’t that foolish. She placed the glass, now a quarter empty, back onto the tray.

”Didn’t finish it, sorry.”

”Sister, it’s okay, I’m just happy you’re not petty.”

Fiona kept an eye on Cecilia, seeing the wine glass significantly more empty, she quickly felt relieved.

Not bad, not bad, the fish has taken the bait.

Fiona’s face broke into a genuinely sincere smile, her eyes clear and bright, revealing none of the vicious malice beneath her pretty exterior.

”Sister, you’re so kind, I’ll go tell Chloe now too, so she can also let go of the past.”

...

”No need, why don’t you chat with me for a while instead.”

Cecilia smilingly fixed her gaze on Fiona, preferring to keep her within sight.

Who knows what kind of trick they’re up to, but it certainly isn’t simple.

Fiona saw this strange attitude from Cecilia and her heart sunk. Cecilia was never so easy-going before, nor would she take the initiative to be friendly to her. Could it be that Cecilia realized something was off about what they were doing?

Fiona was dwelling on this when she saw Cecilia no longer paying attention to her and had turned back to chatting with the class president from class A, making it clear that her invitation was merely polite.

Watching Cecilia engage in laughter and conversation, Fiona instead felt a sense of relief; if Cecilia were too friendly, it would only make her feel more uneasy.

Soon, very soon, even if it was just on the rim, she didn’t believe Cecilia wouldn’t react within half an hour!

...

Thinking of her plan, the smile on Fiona’s lips became more enchanting and captivating.

However, just watching Cecilia’s debacle wasn’t enough; for this grand drama, she needed to stoke the fire even more.

Feigning curiosity, she walked over to the class president, her face adorned with a delicate and gentle smile.

”Class president, are we resting at this hot springs hotel today? What are the plans for our class tonight?”

The class president looked at Fiona’s slightly protruding belly, scratching her head a little awkwardly.

”Fiona, there’s a large outdoor hot spring pool in the hotel. We planned for everyone to soak and chat, but since you’re pregnant, you probably can’t join.”

Not being able to join is even better!

What’s a hot spring compared to the drama she had planned, which was sure to be a thousand times more entertaining than anything the class president could think of!

Fiona thought maliciously while maintaining a sensible façade, secretly stealing glances at Cecilia.

”No problem, I can sing for you all from the shore.”

Upon hearing this, many boys in the class cheered.

”Wow, the upcoming star in the entertainment world is going to sing for us! Goddess Fiona is amazing!”

”I want to hear it!”

Cecilia, seeing Fiona act and keep attention on her, couldn’t help but sneer internally, closing her eyes theatrically, massaging her temple with slightly furrowed brows.

”Why do I feel a bit unwell? Dizzy and drowsy...”

How effective the drug was!

Fiona swallowed her saliva, her eyes fervently opening her mouth.

”Sister, were you tired from driving? We’re about to rest, why not let the class president distribute the room cards, and I’ll have Katherine assist you upstairs?”

”Alright, I’m really not feeling well,” Cecilia nodded to Fiona and showed a rare smile to Katherine North, ”North, I’m counting on you...”

Katherine was equally thrilled, her fake smile evident.

”No problem, after all, we’re classmates.”

Following Fiona’s suggestion, the class president swiftly handed out the room cards, with Cecilia and Katherine receiving theirs first — C011 and C012 respectively.

Fiona watched from afar as Katherine helped Cecilia into the elevator, her excitement growing ever more!

She noted Cecilia’s room card ID and, with trembling hands, retrieved Adrian Law’s number.

—Mr. Law, sister is drunk, please come pick her up, her room number is C011.
