Mr. Law's Official Announcement: He is a Wife-Doting Fanatic!

Now the hallway is filled with men and women from the entertainment industry auditioning for roles. Cecilia Vaughn, dressed simply, stands in the corner with her head down, actually not noticeable.

Fiona Vaughn strides confidently down the hallway in ten-centimeter high heels, wearing a pure white Chanel high-fashion outfit, her face brimming with confidence.

Her manager, Manager Quinn, carries a large bag of items, nodding and bowing as she follows Fiona Vaughn.

”Fiona, tell me, how did the audition go? What topic did you draw?”

Fiona Vaughn flirtatiously ruffles her hair, her beautiful eyes sweeping over the female stars still waiting, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction.

——She has much more insider information than most people; Station Director Alden had already told her that Director Chapman was interested in ”There are branches on the mountain,” and reportedly someone was investing heavily behind the scenes.

So Fiona Vaughn started to pay attention to this comic earlier than most people and skimmed through the female lead’s plot.

——Blossom Vaughn, a modern female Chinese medicine doctor, time travels to become a sinner’s daughter, almost becomes a military concubine, disguises as a man called Third Miss Vaughn, escapes, and saves lives with a single silver needle, later forms a bond with a hostage prince from an enemy nation...

This is unmistakably a Mary Sue female-oriented drama, and with Director Chapman, a serious director, if performed well, it will definitely attract fans!

Recently surrounded by negative press, whether she can make a splendid turnaround depends on this tactic!

That’s why Fiona Vaughn is determined to get this role, even if she’s pregnant, she still comes for the audition.

Anyway, Director Chapman is known for his meticulous work, from casting to the official shooting of this film will take at least half a year, by then this baby in her belly will have been taken care of, and won’t affect her acting.

Fiona Vaughn is quite sure, and her gaze towards her manager becomes proud.

”Ah, really lucky, I drew a crying scene where the male and female leads are trapped in a desperate situation. This kind of crying scene, well, is something I’m best at.”

”Exactly, our Fiona is the best, remember, she was famous for crying when she played the nation’s first love role...”

Fiona Vaughn is flattered by Manager Quinn, and her grasp of Blossom Vaughn’s character becomes even more assured, she walks with a swagger.

She doesn’t even notice Cecilia Vaughn with her head lowered in the corner and walks past.

Among those still waiting in line are female stars, some with more experience than Fiona, some with better acting skills, many are there to audition for the female lead, Blossom Vaughn, and can’t help but whisper after hearing Fiona Vaughn’s boastful words.

”How did Fiona Vaughn get so lucky to draw a plot she’s skilled at? I do think her crying is indeed beautiful, very pure and moving.”

”Can’t envy it, just trying to stir up emotions here. Director Chapman just selected this script yesterday and we’re here for open auditions today. I’ve only browsed the plot outline, completely unfamiliar with the female lead’s character...”

”Yes, basically everyone was notified last minute, lacking in character understanding. If the audition can draw a preferred plot, definitely much luckier than the average person.”

...

Cecilia Vaughn slowly watches Fiona Vaughn’s figure leave, a thoughtful look in her eyes.

However, she doesn’t believe Fiona Vaughn can do justice to Blossom Vaughn, and especially the role of Third Miss Vaughn who disguises as a man.

Crying scene?

Blossom Vaughn isn’t the type of woman who cries pitifully, if Fiona Vaughn thinks that crying beautifully will get her chosen, that’s really wishful thinking.

Cecilia Vaughn’s eyes flash mischievously, just about to walk into the audition room to take a look when suddenly someone lightly taps her shoulder.

”Hey! Cecilia, you’re here! I’ve been looking for you for a long time. You really came in the afternoon, the morning auditions were spectacular! You missed out, such a pity!”

Cecilia Vaughn turns her head, and her eyes reflect Mona Summers’ charming face, she hugs Mona Summers and then leads her to an empty staircase corner.

”Did you see Fiona Vaughn’s performance? I overheard her talking to her manager about how crying scenes are easy to perform. Has she really mastered seven meridians and eight veins, rapidly improving her acting skills?”

Cecilia Vaughn saw Fiona Vaughn’s dramas when flipping through TV channels too. Fiona Vaughn’s acting isn’t unbearably awkward, but definitely not what you’d call good. She’s the kind of woman best suited for playing a vase role, after all, her beauty covers for her lack of acting skills.

Mona Summers squints her eyes at Cecilia Vaughn.

”Guess?”

”Don’t keep me in suspense, I’m really curious...”

Mona Summers bursts into laughter, her eyes curving like a crescent moon, gleaming with witty light.

”How should I put it, to keep Fiona Vaughn from knowing this drama is related to us, I watched it on the screen without witnessing it in person. But I think her performance is... hmm... hard to put into words.”

”You’re Third Miss Vaughn’s biological mother, surely you know the female lead is cold on the outside and warm on the inside, actually not very expressive... not quite a tomboy but rather introverted and independent. The scene she drew was trapped in desperation, but how could it be so helpless as her sobbing?”

”I see Fiona Vaughn, crying like she’s missing big letters on her face saying I’m so desperate, quick, handsome guy, come save me...”

This analogy is simply spot on!

And Mona Summers was making funny faces as she spoke, totally hilarious.

”Haha... convinced, convinced, she acts so horribly and still has such confidence? Listening to her speak in the hallway, I thought she had the female lead role in the bag!”

Cecilia Vaughn is laughed into holding her stomach by Mona Summers, she knew Fiona Vaughn would undoubtedly ruin the character, really wondering where her confidence comes from.

Mona Summers leans close and whispers to Cecilia Vaughn with a piece of gossip.

”Cecilia, but I heard from the crew that ASC’s Station Director Alden leaked information to Fiona Vaughn, aren’t they always close?”

”And including this audition, Fiona Vaughn’s audition topics were manipulated, originally more challenging, were picked for her to play crying scenes she’s skilled at. Also, it’s said that Tyson Law has spoken, even if she isn’t chosen as the female lead, she has to be kept for the second lead.”

”Such a bold claim... don’t they know even if Director Chapman is willing to give some personal relationship leeway, he’ll also choose actors whose skills meet audience expectations?”

Cecilia Vaughn clicked her tongue, not caring about Fiona Vaughn’s petty tricks.

She’s wanted to laugh at Fiona Vaughn, a pregnant woman so active in auditions, instigating her brother, not afraid of losing the child in her belly?

”Let’s go, stop talking about her, let’s see those auditioning in the afternoon...”

Cecilia Vaughn’s eyes flash with a cold glint, she and Mona Summers step out of the stairway.

Just as someone walks past them, a faint fragrance greets them, and a plain makeup-free face appears.

Cecilia Vaughn is stunned for a moment, among those present are good seedlings of the entertainment circle, plenty of pretty faces, but this girl really makes her heart skip a beat!

She tugs Mona Summers’ arm, her eyes dreamy.

”Look at that girl!”
