Rebuilding the Immortal Cultivator Clan

Chapter 2034 1486: Formation of the Pill

”It seems I still have to make use of the generating and overcoming relationship of the Five Elements.”

Li Zhirui opened his eyes. In his heart, a solution was forming to resolve the chaos caused by the fusion of Yin-Yang and Five Element essences, which led to previous failures in alchemy.

Whatʼs more, as soon as he thought about it, he came up with two entirely different approaches.

One method was to utilize the Five Phases generating cycle—gold contains water, water nourishes wood, wood gives rise to fire… allowing the seven essences to reach a special state of balance.

The other approach was Five Elements overcoming cycle, using water to overcome fire, fire to overcome metal, metal to overcome wood… keeping the essences temporarily locked in a state of mutual restraint without merging.

As for which of these two methods was better, Li Zhirui couldnʼt tell, but he decisively chose the first one—not for any other reason, but because it was the most suitable!

He possessed Water-Wood Spiritual Root, and the Purification Principle he comprehended was also born from the blending and evolution of Water and Wood Law, making him even more compatible with the generating cycle of the Five Elements.

Li Zhirui recorded these two alchemy tricks, which could even be called secret techniques.

Why is it that cultivators from sects and families typically go further and steadier than loose cultivators? Itʼs not just because they have abundant cultivation resources, but even more so because they have generations of secret techniques passed down—saving juniors from detours and wasting time.

Time, for great cultivators like Li Zhirui, isnʼt particularly precious—since they have abundant lifespan—but for those junior cultivators with limited lifespan, it canʼt be squandered!

After all, a cultivation prodigy like him is rare among tens of millions; most cultivators donʼt have such talent to rapidly enhance their cultivation.

Back to the topic!

After sending the two jade slips containing his secret techniques to the scripture storage hall, Li Zhirui purified the alchemy furnace, then sat cross-legged to restore his mana and divine sense, adjusting his own state.

Several hours later, feeling perfectly restored, Li Zhirui rose with full confidence to open the furnace and begin the second attempt at refining the Creation Heavenly Pill.

This time, his spell was performed with even more steadiness and precision. The Yin-Yang Five Elements essences not only emerged smoothly but also saved nearly half a quarter hour compared to last time.

This isnʼt just about saving time—it also reduced the expenditure of Li Zhiruiʼs mana and divine sense, leaving him more reserves for subsequent steps in the process.

Next came the critical stage where Li Zhirui previously failed: essence fusion!

With a shift of his spell, the essences within the furnace transformed, water attribute essence at the base, followed by fusion with wood, fire, earth, and metal—each step proceeded smoothly, and the fused essences emitted a dazzling five-colored brilliance.

Right afterward, he made another move, injecting the Yin-Yang essences respectively into the water and wood.

Rumble——

The previously calm fusion essences suddenly boiled over, causing the entire pill furnace to shake violently, like signs of imminent failure.

But Li Zhiruiʼs expression didnʼt shift at all, nor did his spell change.

Under his control, the essences gradually calmed back down.

At this moment, only a foot-long pill embryo remained in the spirit water of the furnace, radiating seven-colored spirit light!

Clearly, he had surmounted the obstacle that led to failure last time.

Reaching this stage, Li Zhiruiʼs demeanor remained serene—neither joyful nor excited, neither tense nor worried—only profound calm.

After refining the pill embryo, the next step was nourishing the pill.

This not only enhances the pillʼs efficacy but further expels impurities from within.

Pills for sale on the market—those inferior and low grade pills—are exactly products of poorly carried out steps at this stage.

Luckily, Li Zhirui had refined pills for thousands of years; his pill nourishing method had reached the pinnacle of mastery, and whatʼs more, his forte—Water Method Alchemy—is best suited for nourishing pills!

After several hours, the pill embryo no longer shone with multicolored light. This was not a sign of failure, but precisely evidence of success.

This meant the pillʼs properties had converged, spiritual energy was contained within—an excellent outcome!

At the perfect moment, Li Zhirui shifted his spell technique, transitioning to the Separation Pill Method.

This step tests an alchemistʼs skill: ensuring each pillʼs efficacy is almost identical. More pills doesnʼt mean higher grade—rather, it increases the chance of failure. If fewer, the grade will certainly drop.

Li Zhiruiʼs divine sense transformed into two sharp little swords, seeking the opportunity, then decisively cleaved, dividing the pill embryo evenly into three parts.

But if one looked closely, it was clear—only one of these spirit pills was just right!

The other two each had issues: one pill contained excess Gold Water Qi, while the other lacked Gold Water Qi.

However, soon enough, an idea came to Li Zhiruiʼs mind—why not make use of these differences and refine pills suited for Gold Water Spirit Root and those for its overcoming partners, Fire and Earth Spirit Roots!

As for the remaining pill, he would refine the Wood Element Creation Heavenly Pill.

The thought was complete, though in reality it was but an instant.

Li Zhiruiʼs spell continued seamlessly, shifting fluidly into the Condensing Pill Technique specified in the pill recipe.

The three Creation Heavenly Pills, under the kneading of a pair of invisible hands, began to become round and flawless, and simultaneously acquired a protective membrane to slow the dispersal of spiritual energy and medicinal properties.

In fact, this was also a type of alchemy technique, known as Sealing Pill.

It had simply been incorporated into the final condensing spell.

Puff!

Suddenly, a venting sound emerged from within the alchemy furnace.
