Rebuilding the Immortal Cultivator Clan

Chapter 1760: Chapter 1349: Relocation

The folk customs in Da Liang are fiercely martial, likely due to its proximity to the Devil Race and Demonic Tao territories. Regardless of age or gender, people there tend to be more rugged and tall.

”It seems this place is constantly at war. Even if it hasn’t reached the point where everyone is a soldier, judging by the situation, it’s probably quite close.”

”Indeed, the Southern Domain is chaotic. If anyone truly wants to settle here, they certainly won’t be able to avoid major battles in the future.”

Given this situation, subjects from less powerful dynasties are hesitant, realizing their current strength is not suited for survival in this war-torn region.

Even with the help of Immortal Tao’s power, they might manage to establish a foothold temporarily in the Southern Domain; however, once they leave, destruction by warfare seems likely!

Unless they are willing to become vassals of the Three Great Dynasties, bow their heads, and ask for protection.

But why would someone leave the comfort of being a king to come to this harsh, dangerous place and endure hardships, even lowering their status?

However, powers like Great Zhou, Daqian, and Great Xia, don’t worry much about that. They have immense confidence in their strength, so their main concern is whether the Southern Domain truly is, as the Immortal Tao claims, ideal for Human Dao development.

The group did not rush to reveal their identities or approach Da Liang’s officials but instead traveled among the people to personally experience the local customs.

After all, sometimes even what you see with your own eyes may not be true. Which among them isn’t from an official background? They’re very familiar with methods of false peace and deceit.

Contrarily, doing it this way makes it easier to uncover authentic intelligence and information.

After some investigation, they found the land in Da Liang exceedingly fertile; many southern areas yield two harvests a year, with crop output being thirty to forty percent higher than theirs.

From this perspective, indeed, the Southern Domain is very suitable for Human Dao.

However, it is not without flaws. Spiritual Energy in this region is chaotic and volatile, which the fragile meridians of cultivators cannot endure, yet this poses no problem for the Devil Race.

This results in a high number of Devil Beasts here, reaching a point where they’re seen everywhere!

In cities where humans gather in large numbers, the dense Daoist magic network and abundant human luck suppress Devil Beasts, making them rare. But in towns, especially villages, they face Devil Beast invasions almost daily.

And no matter where, even in the smallest settlement, there’s a considerable militia!

Throughout the investigation, they didn’t know how many Devil Beasts they helped the locals deal with, seemingly effortlessly.

But because of this, they gained the villagers’ trust and approval, and through their narratives, they gained a deeper understanding of Da Liang Dynasty’s situation in these lands.

The land is fertile and resources abundant, meaning with a bit of diligence, one needn’t worry about going hungry.

But simultaneously, they face constant threats and appearances of Devil Beasts. If luck is poor or there’s a lack of strength, death risk looms anytime!

After investigations, weaker dynasties utterly abandoned the notion of migrating here; their situation isn’t better than Da Liang’s.

In this situation, moving to the Southern Domain isn’t about development or expansion; it’s about gradually moving toward extinction.

Yet part of some dynasties sees a chance for rise!

As Immortal Tao suggested, East Continent remains an Immortal Tao domain. For the current Three Great Dynasties to develop to this extent, they’ve benefited greatly from the era’s boon.

Back then, Immortal Tao was rather tolerant toward the nascent Human Dao, not strictly defensive or aggressive, but things have changed now. They’ve perceived the threat of Human Dao and won’t sit idly by anymore!

Under such circumstances, the possibility of them becoming strong is very low; so, if the East Continent shows no opportunity, then the Southern Domain is a good option.

”Time to head back,” a Heavenly Immortal of Human Dao stated, as they’d completed their exploration and understood a fair amount about the Southern Domain; no need to linger.

”Aren’t we going to contact Da Liang’s officials?”

”Do you think they aren’t aware of our arrival? Yet they haven’t appeared, indicating clearly they don’t wish to engage with us.”

The Da Liang side isn’t foolish; watching their group’s actions, could they not understand their goals?

Moreover, there are people from Great Zhou among them; although many years have passed, blood relations might not exist anymore, but the fact Da Liang originated from Great Zhou remains unchanged, inevitably causing feelings of inferiority.

Others considered this as well, ceasing further mention and following the crowd to leave together.

Soon after their departure, the king in Da Liang’s palace received the news.

”They left?”

King Liang sighed faintly, saying, ”It seems not long from now, the Southern Domain will become even more chaotic and dangerous.”

”Your Majesty, is it time to initiate the dynasty promotion plan? After extensive development, everything is ready, awaiting your command. With millions of subjects united in heart and mind, success is certain!” stated an elderly white-haired man firmly.

Heavy ministers shivered, even their breaths became notably gentle.

”Originally intended to wait a bit longer, but now it seems we can’t afford to wait.”

The hall fell silent for a moment; King Liang spoke slowly, ”Announce my edict, choose an auspicious day and time, hold the ceremony to worship the heaven and earth, and ascend to dynasty!”
