Rebuilding the Immortal Cultivator Clan

Chapter 1752: Chapter 1345: Encounter (To Be Revised)

After a series of tests, Shen finally understood why this difference appeared.

It most likely has a lot to do with the grade and compatibility of the Star Core.

But these are minor issues, no need to dwell too much on them.

After Cave Heaven stabilized, Shen and Mu went to the Beidou Star System to seek an audience with the Heavenly Emperor Ziwei.

After all, they were on someone else’s territory, and considering their own side’s weak position, their attitude was quite humble, even if they were somewhat neglected.

“Busy with mundane affairs, I apologize for neglecting the two of you.” After a while, Ziwei finally appeared, and said with a hint of apology on his face.

“It was we who visited abruptly, disturbing the Heavenly Emperor.”

Shen and Mu quickly stood up and said, “We have come this time to ask for a foothold on the outskirts of the starry sky for the Earth Immortal Dao. We hope the Heavenly Emperor can agree.”

Their current territory is not large and can rely on Li Chengsheng and Li Chengshuo, but in the future, Earth Immortal Dao cultivators will certainly increase, and the territory will expand as well; this can’t always go on like this.

“What you do benefits the world, and as the Heavenly Emperor I should not refuse, but…”

Ziwei paused before continuing, “You both must be aware that internally, Divine Path is currently uncertain, and externally, other forces are watching like tigers. Earth Immortal Dao, after all, belongs to the Immortal Dao lineage. If a conflict erupts between Immortal Dao and us in the future, and Earth Immortal Dao suddenly attacks from behind, Divine Path will be at risk of being besieged from both sides.”

“The Heavenly Emperor’s concerns are not unwarranted.”

Shen pondered for a moment, first affirming Ziwei’s words, and then said, “For this reason, I can demand that those practicing this law must take a Dao Oath that without provocation from Divine Path, they will not interfere or meddle in Divine Path’s affairs from the starry sky; otherwise, they will suffer the punishment of ten thousand thunders!”

“I wonder what the Heavenly Emperor thinks?”

Mu raised his eyebrow slightly; he hadn’t expected Shen to make such a large concession, virtually pushing the Earth Immortal Dao’s position to its lowest!

However, it also resolved the issue of distrust and ensured that Earth Immortal Dao wouldn’t be implicated because of individual cultivators, which can be seen as both advantageous and disadvantageous.

Ziwei seemed surprised too, observed Shen seriously for a moment, then suddenly smiled and said, “Worthy of being the ancestor who opened a new branch of Earth Immortals, your boldness transcends me!”

“Since Fellow Daoist has spoken, naturally I have no other opinion, feel free to occupy the outskirts of the starry sky.”

“Thank you, Heavenly Emperor!”

Shen felt relieved in his heart, and after quickly thanking together with Mu, he opened his mouth to bid farewell, “The Heavenly Emperor is busy with affairs, so the two of us won’t disturb you any further.”

Ziwei symbolically retained them with a few words before seeing them out the door.

To have him send them out of the Beidou Star System? That was impossible; they didn’t have that high of a status.

“Big brother, those two are from the same family as the Sun, Moon, and Star Lord; if they team up, they may pose a significant threat to your status.” Gouchen and several other Star Gods of Big Dipper had already arrived at the hall, clearly not approving of Ziwei’s actions.

“In his position, fulfilling his duty; as long as I am the Heavenly Emperor, such a clearly beneficial matter for the world can’t and shouldn’t be refused! Besides, there’s the Dao Oath from those Earth Immortal ancestor.”

Everyone fell silent upon hearing this. While that’s true, Dao Oaths are lifeless, people are living; there might be loopholes found to bypass the constraints.

“I hope your judgment of people isn’t wrong this time.” After saying this, Gouchen turned and left.

And what he was referring to were Li Chengsheng and Li Chengshuo!

No one knew that when the siblings were still weak, Gouchen had suggested controlling the two to ensure that Ziwei’s position as the Master of Ten Thousand Stars would not be shaken.

But Ziwei refused!

The reason being he saw that the two siblings were focused on The Great Tao, without any pursuit of power, not only wouldn’t contend for the position of Master of Ten Thousand Stars, but would even avoid it altogether.

Judging from the current situation, his assertion is undeniably accurate.

…

On the other hand, Shen and Mu, having left the Beidou Star System, were on their way back to Cave Heaven.

“I really didn’t expect you to set the conditions so low.”

“We don’t have any confidence in negotiating with that entity; since we are seeking a request, naturally, we must have the right attitude, and it saves time too.”

“You’re right.”

As they chatted idly along the way, they soon saw the scattered dimly lit stars floating on the outskirts of the starry sky.

And this is the place where they will stay for a long time!

Just as they were about to return to Cave Heaven, a figure suddenly flew over, the stance of this Earth Immortal Water God was quite arrogant as he said, “Fellow Daoists, the Water God Emperor invites you both to his residence for a chat.”

“Thank the Emperor for the invitation, but we are extremely busy as newcomers, truly have no time right now; we will surely visit to apologize when we have spare time.”

Shen’s seemingly humble attitude, but his actions were quite swift, directly pulling Mu to bypass him, entering Cave Heaven, and then directly closing off the passage.

Obviously, his words and actions hadn’t considered going to the Water God Emperor’s residence.

Not long ago, he had said not to participate in internal conflicts of Divine Path, how could he possibly go and meet the Water God?

The Earth Immortal’s face showed an incredulous expression, then was overtaken by anger; he simply couldn’t believe that a mere Earth Immortal dared to refuse an invitation from a Heavenly Immortal, and one who was a high-ranking Water God Emperor!
