Rebuilding the Immortal Cultivator Clan

Chapter 1607: Chapter 1272: Misunderstanding (Part 2)

As the world war erupted, it truly reached the critical point of fierce struggle, life and death, and all beings in the Primal Spirit Realm cannot escape the fate of going to war!

After Xiaoqing left, Shen sat silently in place.

”Shen, Xiaoqing was right; you can’t continue like this!”

Mu, who was beside him, also advised, ”Just as he said, if you fall on the battlefield, how can the current weak Demon Spirit Clan truly survive in the Primal Spirit Realm?”

Especially in the upcoming Primal Spirit Realm, the living environment will be more dire!

The reason why the Demon Spirit Clan’s situation is so miserable, even worse than some Ancient Remnant Races, is mainly because every single devil spirit is an exceptional top-grade spiritual object.

Devil spirits born from spiritual objects like Shen are full of rich, pure spiritual energy that can be directly transformed into mana without the need for refining!

And devil spirits born from unique stones, Wind Cloud, Mist Rain, are top-grade spiritual objects for creating top-grade magic artifacts.

With such desirable things, how could other beings suppress their greed?

After Shen broke through to Human Immortal, he led the hundreds of devil spirits he cultivated and continued to hide in the Changli Mountain Range, avoiding external contact, precisely because he feared bringing great trouble to himself and those devil spirits.

”I understand. For the next millennium, I will focus on cultivation, improving my strength and cultivation.” After a long silence, Shen exhaled a breath of impure air, changing his long-standing decision.

”That’s more like it! Let’s work hard together; at that time, by supporting each other, we can surely survive till the end in this great war!” Mu also became more enthusiastic and said excitedly.

”Alright! Everyone must survive till the end!”

——

Mount Wanxian, family grand hall.

After several days of deliberation, Li Guangjie and a group of elders finally came up with a plan to enhance the strength of all the clansmen.

First is to increase each clan member’s monthly allowance, with an increase of at least ten percent and up to fifty percent depending on their cultivation level!

This expenditure alone means the family has to pay out millions, even tens of millions of spirit stones, more each month.

Moreover, the rewards for various tasks have also been increased, as well as the rewards for making breakthroughs in realms.

Other measures are not direct material rewards, but rather increasing the frequency of monthly lectures and encouraging clan members to venture out for training, among other methods.

When the Li family’s series of measures were announced, it instantly created a huge stir within the clan.

”Clan Leader, Elder, what has happened? Did the family encounter some danger? Otherwise, why suddenly announce so many new decisions?” a certain clan member asked loudly.

”Everyone shouldn’t overthink it; it’s just that after so many years of development, especially in the last few centuries, there haven’t been any major expenditures like upgrading the Spirit Vein.”

”Thus, the family’s yearly income far exceeds its expenditures, and the spiritual objects stored for too long, no matter how advanced the sealing techniques are, always end up losing spiritual energy. So, after discussing with the ancestors, we decided that rather than letting spiritual objects collect dust in the treasury, we should use them to enhance everyone’s welfare.”

Li Guangjie joked with a smile, ”This is a great thing, right? What? If you’re unwilling, we can always cancel it anytime.”

”Moreover, this is only temporary; should we find any issues with income and expenditures, or if new Spirit Veins require upgrading, it can be canceled at any time.”

The news of the world war cannot be disclosed publicly for now, or at least shouldn’t be leaked from the Li family.

Therefore, they didn’t tell the clansmen the real reasons, but rather used these explanations as cover.

With legitimate reasons, even though some clan members still harbored suspicions, most didn’t ponder over the matter further.

After all, the enhancement of various benefits and rewards is advantageous for their cultivation.

And the Clan Leader mentioned it’s just temporary and may be canceled at any time if problems arise, so they hurriedly left to the Miscellaneous Affairs Hall to see if there were any suitable tasks for themselves.

”In the coming period, everyone should also seize the time to cultivate and enhance their strength,” Li Guangjie said to a group of elders.

”We understand.”

Da Qing, Xiaoqing, Li Xianxun, and other Immortal Realm clan members exchanged glances and then each left, having said all they needed to. Now the priority is to race against time and improve their cultivation as much as possible!

This series of Li family’s measures soon spread to the outside world, becoming known among loose cultivators and cultivators from smaller factions.

”Do you think the Li family has discovered something in advance? Believing danger is imminent, which is why they suddenly enhanced treatments for their clan members without warning?” a certain loose cultivator pondered aloud.

”It must be that way; those reasons are merely excuses, but unfortunately, we loose cultivators cannot possibly know the inside information in advance.”

”It’s truly frustrating! When danger arrives, we’ll surely be recruited to serve as cannon fodder again!”

”Sigh! The Li family is still a benevolent major faction; at least the treatment is decent, and they rarely enforce conscription, unlike other major factions...”

The crowd discussed fervently, with no one believing Li Guangjie’s final explanation.

So for a while, the market saw a rapid surge in prices for strategic resources like pills for restoration, talismans, and such.

Instead of reducing spiritual objects, the Li family increased their distribution, taking advantage of this opportunity to earn a handsome profit!

However, these cultivators weren’t fools; upon noticing the consistent supply of spiritual objects in the market, they realized they truly ’misunderstood’ the Li family!

It turned out they hadn’t discovered any impending crisis in advance but were genuinely providing welfare for their clan members!

”Argh! How could this happen! I’ve been saving up spirit stones for so many years...”

For a while, mournful cries from cultivators echoed intermittently in marketplaces and Immortal Cities all across Shanhai State.

Yet they couldn’t blame the Li family, for they had already explained the reasons, and it was all due to their own cleverness, assumptions, and self-righteousness.

While everyone in the Li family was wholeheartedly cultivating and enhancing their cultivation, the various major factions that previously agreed on trading the Evil Cleansing Lotus Seeds also arrived at Mount Wanxian one after another and successfully completed the transactions.

However, they might not have realized that the Evil Cleansing Lotus Seeds also had the effect of alleviating the external suppression of the Heavenly Dao, so they merely asked tentatively if there were extra seeds, unlike the Yumen He Family and the Xiaxian Sect, whose demand was much more urgent.

Since they didn’t know, the Li family naturally wouldn’t say much; after rapidly completing the transactions, Mount Wanxian quickly returned to tranquillity.

They did hear of the recent unusual activities within Shanhai State but didn’t care much. Instead, they somewhat looked down on the Li family’s behavior, which seemed to utilize this method to harvest loose cultivators.

However, disdain was just disdain; knowing the effectiveness was quite good, they entertained the thought of trying it on their own.

After all, it’s enticing to effortlessly acquire a large amount of spirit stones; who wouldn’t be tempted?

Only when the news reached the Yumen He Family and the Xiaxian Sect did they understand the true reason behind all this.

——

Now let’s speak of Li Zhixuan, who left Mount Wanxian years ago and has been traveling, enhancing her cultivation through battles, honing her Dao Heart amid the mundane world.

After countless battles, she is now in the late stage of Human Immortal, with Earth Immortal Realm almost within her grasp.

Yet she couldn’t grasp the opportunity for breakthrough to Earth Immortal, not even a trace of it.

”Could it be necessary to challenge beyond one’s level, like that Meng Zihong, who, as a low-level being, rebelled and defeated Earth Immortal Demon Practitioners of a higher realm?” Li Zhixuan murmured to herself.

But the issue is, the circumstances between them are vastly different.

Back then, Meng Zihong was at Loose Immortal cultivation, and the practitioner he rebelled against and slew was a Human Immortal. Moreover, his Taoist Body and cultivation techniques tremendously countered Demon Practitioners, with Li Zhixuan aiding in the array.

Should she act similarly, she’d face an Earth Immortal Demon Practitioner, with no inherent advantage, and no cultivators would assist on the sidelines.

Though Li Zhixuan is a fervent combatant, she’s definitely not a mindless warrior!

If she truly did that, it wouldn’t be challenging limits but rather courting death.
