Rebuilding the Immortal Cultivator Clan

Chapter 1606: Chapter 1272: Misunderstanding

Moments later, Li Zhirui looked at Xiaoqing, who had rushed in, and asked, ”Has something happened?”

”Jiu, just when the Yumen He Family and Xiaxian Sect came to the family to purchase the Evil Cleansing Lotus Seeds, they revealed a yet undisclosed secret to the family.”

After a pause, Xiaoqing continued, ”The Empress of the Beidou Star System has discovered an Outer World suspected to be a Great Thousand World, and in order to transcend the Primal Spirit Realm, she has decided to embark on an expedition, to conquer the Outer World and take it down!”

”According to what the two families said, the expedition will commence in less than a millennium, so we plan to use the time wisely to enhance the cultivation and strength of our clan members as much as possible. When war breaks out, the family will also have enough confidence to reap benefits from it.”

”A millennium? That’s a bit early!” Li Zhirui suddenly lamented.

He’s not very confident that he can break through to the Earth Immortal Realm within a millennium. If the war time could be extended by a few hundred more years, he would have a seventy to eighty percent chance of achieving the Earth Immortal Realm.

”Jiu, what do you think?” Xiaoqing’s voice pulled Li Zhirui back from his thoughts.

”Of course, with the Beidou lineage starting a world war, Sheng and Shuo will certainly join, and the family will not miss out. With greater strength, more benefits can be gained.”

”Crisis! Crisis! For the family, it’s either a catastrophic threat of extinction or a great opportunity to advance, all depending on our own strong capabilities!”

Li Zhirui certainly wouldn’t refuse, but he was also busy in secluded cultivation, so these complex matters could only be left to Li Guangjie and others to discuss and handle.

Xiaoqing had long expected this outcome and had no objections, because the stronger he became, the safer the family would be in the world war, achieving greater gains.

Therefore, after receiving his handwritten note, Xiaoqing immediately got up and left, without delaying his cultivation further.

”The sudden incident might require a revision of the original closed cultivation plan.”

Previously, without the threat of a world war, there was naturally no sense of urgency, so Li Zhirui hadn’t devoted all his time to enhancing mana and comprehending the Laws.

Every day, he also allocated plenty of time to comprehend Pill Recipes and grasp the Pill Scripture, to prepare in advance for cultivation resources after breaking through to the Earth Immortal Realm.

But now, with the impending war, he must seize every moment to enhance his strength and cultivation as much as possible!

To this end, Li Zhirui plans to use his long-accumulated trump card to accelerate his own cultivation speed.

And this trump card is the Merit he has never used all these years!

Merit not only has the ability to improve the efficiency of comprehending the Laws but can also be used to reduce the power of the Thunder Tribulation.

Li Zhirui initially planned to weaken the Thunder Tribulation by consuming Merit when he broke through to the Heavenly Immortal, ensuring he safely surpasses the great tribulation and achieves the Heavenly Immortal.

But with the sudden outbreak of a war spanning two Great Thousand Worlds, he has no choice but to opt for early usage.

However, should he gain enough rich rewards from this great war, it could compensate for his current consumption.

Moreover, if Li Zhirui can perform actions beneficial to the Primal Spirit Realm in the war, the Heavenly Dao will surely not be stingy in bestowing Merit!

It’s important to know that many years ago, the Primal Spirit Realm had already encountered an opportunity for ascension, but it hasn’t succeeded until now. If the world war achieves victory, then the world’s ascension will no longer face any issues.

And in this process, anyone who makes a contribution and puts forth effort will certainly be granted Merit.

Of course, the cost of war failure is also considerable, such as world destruction, and these beings either becoming slaves or nourishment.

Having made up his mind, Li Zhirui no longer hesitated. After calming his Mental State, he began to ’ignite’ the Merit to enhance his comprehension.

With his original comprehension already far exceeding that of ordinary people, the addition of Merit brought it to an extremely high level. Previous areas of confusion suddenly became clear before him, allowing him to comprehend.

His mastery of the Purification Principle gradually increased, and his Realm continued to rise.

And the price of all this was the rapid consumption of the Merit Li Zhirui had accumulated over many years!

At the current rate, within no more than ten years, all the Merit will be exhausted.

However, he needs to reserve half of the Merit beforehand. If he encounters a bottleneck, he can attempt to use a large amount of Merit to break through the bottleneck in one go.

To depict two branches of the story separately.

After Xiaoqing left, instead of hurrying back to the central hall of the family, he made a trip to the Changli Mountain Range to inform Shen and Mu about the world war news.

Then, with a serious face, he said to Shen, ”I know your wish is to strengthen and revitalize the Demon Spirit Clan, so you’re consuming the luck and Merit gathered by the Earth Immortal Dao to nurture the Demon Spirit Clan, hoping to cultivate more Devil Spirits.”

”But the world war is incredibly dangerous; even a Heavenly Immortal doesn’t have an absolute guarantee of surviving it. With your current cultivation and strength, how much confidence do you have?”

”And once you fall and perish, the hope for the Demon Spirit Clan’s resurgence might be completely severed! Think about it carefully.”

After speaking, without waiting for Shen to respond, Xiaoqing turned and flew away directly.

Regarding Shen’s actions, Li Zhirui and others had always been aware, just didn’t meddle or intervene, but now the situation is different, naturally they cannot let it slide anymore.

As for wanting to avoid, not participating in the war? Do you think you can stay safe and sound?
