Rebuilding the Immortal Cultivator Clan

Chapter 1557: Chapter 1247: Good or Bad (Part 2)

The Sea Clan, as a major faction in the Primal Spirit Realm, must have collected the Lotus Seed Skill back in the day. However, over the years, they have never used it, likely having forgotten about it.

Now, suddenly wielding it, along with specially paired Evil Absorption and Purification Lotus Seeds, naturally makes those with demonic power suspect the Immortal Tao.

Especially since they heard that the matter of repairing the East Sea Eye is related to the Immortal Tao.

With these two matters linked, how could they not harbor suspicion?

”The most important task now is to resolve the immediate crisis!” Seeing everyone’s attention drifting, an Old Demon spoke up to remind them.

”What else can we do? We can only meet the Sea Clan head-on in battle to determine the future ownership of the Western Sea!”

Judging from the Sea Clan’s stance, it’s clear they won’t retreat halfway. They are determined to see this through to victory or defeat, so the Demonic Tao can only respond to the challenge.

”Therefore, we must quickly gather more disciples to join the battle to prevent the Sea Clan from advancing any further!”

Unfortunately, despite their well-laid plans, the Sea Clan had anticipated this long ago. As soon as the Demonic Tao made any moves, the Sea Clan’s attack became even faster and fiercer, completely disregarding losses in their effort to retake the entire Western Sea.

The situation grew increasingly disadvantageous for the Demonic Tao, and the mighty figures could no longer sit still. They personally took to the field, attempting to reverse their side’s decline.

But in terms of Heavenly Immortal battle power, the Sea Clan was not inferior to the Demonic Tao, giving them no advantage whatsoever.

Thus, in one brutal battle after another, both sides suffered countless casualties, with a light blood mist hanging over the sky and sea, and remnants of flesh scattered everywhere.

In truth, for both the Sea Clan and the Demonic Tao, no amount of casualties matters as long as they can gain something from it.

The problem, however, is that not only is the Demonic Tao unable to win against the Sea Clan in these skirmishes, but they are also losing territory after territory!

Yet, the Sea Clan also faced a significant issue—the Purifying Spiritual Objects they had collected were used up!

Countless water devils couldn’t find a single one who could comprehend and master the Purification Principle. Once the spiritual objects were exhausted, they had no way to quickly purify the sea regions.

This means that the remaining one-third of the sea regions not yet recovered may not be fully taken by the Sea Clan.

Because the water devils cannot remain long in sea areas shrouded in demonic qi! Otherwise, they would be invaded by demonic qi, affecting their mental state and future cultivation.

Reluctantly, the Sea Clan had to slow their assault and focus on collecting Purifying Spiritual Objects.

The Demonic Tao also noticed this situation right away. Though unsure of the cause, most demon cultivators breathed a sigh of relief.

This gave them the opportunity to reorganize their forces and gather more disciples—not to push the Sea Clan back, but at least to hold onto the current one-third of sea regions.

But the mighty figures of the Demonic Tao could never have anticipated that the Devil Race would also intervene!

In the Hundred Thousand Mountains of the Southern Domain, countless devil beasts charged forth, raising dust clouds that filled the sky and shaking the earth, with their target being the tens of thousands of miles bordering the West Continent.

”Why would the Devil Race choose to strike at this time?”

The reason soon became clear to some demon cultivators—that the Sea Clan and the Devil Race had allied to deal with the Demonic Tao!

Faced with the Sea Clan’s full-on assault, the Demonic Tao was already struggling, not to mention now there was the addition of the Devil Race.

In an instant, the Demonic Tao was filled with panic, especially among the low-level disciples, who were very worried for their lives, unsure in which battle they might lose their lives!

In fact, not only them, but even some demon cultivators in the Immortal Realm felt a trickle of fear, secretly deciding that if faced with a life-threatening situation, they would retreat immediately to save their own lives.

”The current situation is extremely unfavorable for the Demonic Tao. Do any of you fellow brothers have a way to break this deadlock?” A few great demon cultivators couldn’t help but feel nervous.

They weren’t worried about their own safety, at least having the confidence and strength as demon cultivators of the Heavenly Immortal Realm. Their concern was that if the Demonic Tao lost a substantial amount of territory, their luck would diminish significantly, and the portion they received would decrease as well.

”Heh.”

A certain great demon cultivator suddenly laughed and said, ”The alliance between the Sea Clan and the Devil Race is actually a good thing for us, because the Immortal Tao will never allow them to go too far. Once they cross a boundary, the Immortal Tao will no doubt step in to assist us.”

For no other reason than that the Demonic Tao is regarded as part of the human race’s forces.

On the Sea Clan’s side, they also received a message from the Turtle Minister.

Aside from urging the Sea Clan to quickly seize the remaining seas and reclaim the entire Western Sea,

He sent many more Purifying Spiritual Objects to address the demonic qi issue, while also instructing the water devils on the front lines to crush the previously cultivated Bai Lian, which could also provide the Purification Principles.

In a scenario where the Sea Clan was unyielding in casualties and had the Devil Race diverting the Demonic Tao’s focus, they gradually captured the remaining sea regions as well.

Ultimately, only the last piece of sea remained in the Western Sea—the coastal area where the Blood Sea Demon Sect resides!

It was at this moment that the Immortal Tao made their move!

The Immortal Tao did not attack the Sea Clan but targeted the Devil Race, not allowing them to continue expanding on the human race’s domain.

”Kill!”

The shout to kill surged skyward, and countless cultivators simultaneously took action, converging thousands of divine ability spells into a terrifying torrent that smashed into the area with the most devil beasts gathered.

Rumble—

The unsuspecting attack caught many devil beasts off guard, leaving them no chance to react further.

Because the torrent of divine abilities had already engulfed them, instantly consuming their lives.

”Kill those cultivators for me!”

The devil beasts outnumbered the cultivators by far, and even though many had been blown up in the earlier ambush, they still retained considerable battle power.

Instantly, the Devil Race could no longer focus on seizing the Demonic Tao’s territory and began to engage in fierce combat with the cultivators.

With the intervention of the Immortal Tao, what originally was a confrontation between the Demonic Tao and the Sea Clan has now evolved into a grand war involving the Immortal Tao and Demonic Tao, the human race, and the Devil Race—factions fighting on four sides!

In the various bordering areas, a series of brutal and bloody skirmishes erupted, so fierce that the earth was muddied, and the piles of corpses could raise the ground by a foot.

For the Sea Clan, however, there was no need to continue further, but to find a way to end the battle.

Not only because their Purifying Spiritual Objects were completely depleted, but also due to the disciples of the Blood Sea Demon Sect, who were indeed risking their lives to defend their sect.

Coupled with the water devils having fought for such a long time, they were already physically and mentally exhausted and could not hold on any longer.

Despite not being able to fully retake the entire Western Sea in the end, the results thus far were already very satisfying.

”What a pity, in the end, we were one move short, forgetting to consider the Immortal Tao as a variable in the calculations...”

The Turtle Minister, far away in the Dragon Palace, received the news from the front lines quickly and said with some regret.

He truly forgot that the Immortal Tao and Demonic Tao, no matter how discordant, are both part of the human race faction, and no matter how brutal the infighting, it’s still an internal conflict among them.

Moreover, the blood feud between the Devil Race and the human race is enough to make the Immortal Tao temporarily put aside their clash with the Demonic Tao.

...

When Li Zhirui, far away in Mount Wanxian, heard this news, he was dumbfounded.

Like many other beings, he couldn’t fathom how things escalated to this point, entangling more than half of the creatures in the Primal Spirit Realm.

”I never expected that I would end up being the source of this war.” This was his second reaction, a mix of laughter and helplessness.

If Li Zhirui hadn’t provided those purification lotus seeds at the time, and the Sea Clan lacked a solution to the demonic qi, they naturally couldn’t have invaded the Western Sea to erupt in a great battle with the Demonic Tao, eventually dragging all four factions into it.

However, since things had reached this stage, there was no point in regretting—not that he regretted it, anyway, as it had nothing to do with the Li family regardless.

Rather, the more beings that died in this war, the better for those like him who survived, reducing many potential rivals.

Additionally, the death of so many beings meant that spiritual energy would return to the heavens and earth, significantly stemming the tide of evil filth and karmic force in the Primal Spirit Realm and delaying the outbreak of the great disaster.

So, for those uninvolved, this great war was a tremendous blessing.
