The Strongest Urban Son-in-law

Chapter 629: Chapter 638: Kneel Down [Third Update]

However, Housekeeper Hu soon regained his composure; he merely thought that Ye Feng had dodged his attack by sheer luck. But as he was about to strike at Ye Feng again, Ye Feng lifted his hand.

Ye Feng grabbed Housekeeper Hu’s wrist in one swift motion and, with a forceful toss, hurled the uncontrollable Housekeeper Hu into the air. His feet left the ground, and Ye Feng executed a shoulder throw that dragged him from behind, forcefully pulling him to the front.

”How is this possible!” Housekeeper Hu’s heart was profoundly shaken, a tempest of shock and disbelief erupting within him. He couldn’t accept how incredibly powerful Ye Feng was, how easily he’d been dragged to the front.

However, after Housekeeper Hu landed, he stood before Ye Feng, yet Ye Feng was still gripping his hand.

”Crack crack crack~~” With strength in his grip, Ye Feng squeezed Housekeeper Hu’s palm, and the sound of fracturing bones echoed continuously around them.

Crack. Housekeeper Hu felt his bones breaking incessantly, as if Ye Feng was going to crush them into powder, yet Ye Feng remained completely at ease.

Just as Housekeeper Hu was about to cry out in agony, Ye Feng’s other hand, clenched in a fist, slammed heavily into his stomach. Ye Feng’s fist sank deep into Housekeeper Hu’s belly, and it felt as if all his organs were about to shatter. A surge of blood Qi roiled within him, pushing him to the brink of unbearable pain.

Housekeeper Hu instantly felt all his strength drain away, trembling, he knelt directly in front of Ye Feng.

And there Housekeeper Hu was, drained of strength and unable to even muster the energy to shout.

Ye Feng extended his index finger to his lips: ”Shh... don’t make a sound. I don’t like noise.”

Housekeeper Hu knelt before Ye Feng in silence, and Ye Feng didn’t leave. He had only been testing Housekeeper Hu intentionally, wanting to see if Zhao Yebao truly intended to prevent Ye Feng from leaving.

But Housekeeper Hu was too arrogant, which is why Ye Feng had decided to teach him a lesson.

Now that Ye Feng had accomplished his goal, confirmed that Zhao Yebao indeed harbored intentions of keeping him there, and humbled the arrogant Housekeeper Hu, there was naturally no need for him to leave.

Housekeeper Hu was staggered to the core. He never dreamed that Ye Feng’s strength could be so formidable. Remember, he was a Grandmaster of Innate Perfection, yet he had not the slightest capacity to resist in front of Ye Feng.

So easily defeated by Ye Feng, Housekeeper Hu couldn’t fathom or believe it.

Ye Feng then sat inside the guest room, with Housekeeper Hu kneeling before him.

A full minute passed before Housekeeper Hu gradually regained his strength, his body trembling as he tried to stand.

”If you dare to stand up, I will kill you...” However, just as Housekeeper Hu was about to rise, Ye Feng spoke slowly.

The chill in Ye Feng’s voice was like a decree from the Death God, sounding like it could extract Housekeeper Hu’s soul at any moment.

That icy intent to kill was like the invisible scythe of the Death God, making Housekeeper Hu feel as if his life could be reaped at any second, and he couldn’t help but shiver.

In just a few breaths, Housekeeper Hu’s back was soaked with sweat; cold droplets continued to stream from his forehead and fell to the floor.

Fear filled Housekeeper Hu’s eyes; he could not even begin to conceive of Ye Feng’s strength. He knew that if Ye Feng wanted to kill him, it was something that could be done with a mere flick of his wrist, as simple as stepping on an ant.

Housekeeper Hu gave up all resistance in an instant, not daring to defy Ye Feng’s words. He just knelt there before Ye Feng.

It was only then that Ye Feng retracted his murderous aura. Relieved to feel Ye Feng’s intent to kill fading away, Housekeeper Hu took a deep breath, feeling as though he’d just walked a circle through the Ghost Gate, narrowly escaping death.

Several minutes later, Zhou Mengyu returned from the restroom. As she entered the guest room, she was shocked to see Housekeeper Hu kneeling in front of Ye Feng and couldn’t help but stare in utter astonishment, clueless about what had transpired.

”Housekeeper Hu, what are you doing?” Zhou Mengyu asked, her voice filled with shock.

Zhou Mengyu could never have imagined that Housekeeper Hu kneeling before Ye Feng had anything to do with Ye Feng himself.

Zhou Mengyu knew Housekeeper Hu was a powerful Grandmaster of Innate Perfection, the second strongest in the Zhao Family. How could it be possible that Ye Feng had the strength to make Housekeeper Hu kneel before him?

Before Housekeeper Hu could speak, Ye Feng said, ”Housekeeper Hu developed a cultivation deviation, and he’s recuperating here.”

Housekeeper Hu hastily added, ”Yes, yes, the young master is right, I had a bit of a mishap with my cultivation, that’s why I’m like this!”

Zhou Mengyu nodded, ”I see, is everything okay, Housekeeper Hu? Do you need someone to help you?”

A strained smile appeared on Housekeeper Hu’s face as he shook his head: ”I’m fine, I’ll be okay after a while, thank you for your concern, Miss Zhou.”

Zhou Mengyu finally nodded, ”As long as you’re alright. But your method of recuperation is quite unusual, Housekeeper Hu; why do you need to kneel to recuperate?”

Zhou Mengyu’s words made Housekeeper Hu’s face flush with embarrassment, but he had no choice. Ye Feng had said so, and he had to go along with Ye Feng’s account.

”There’s no other way; my cultivation technique is a bit peculiar, so I need to kneel to recuperate, but it will be better in the future,” Housekeeper Hu explained.

”Alright then!” Zhou Mengyu returned to her room, continuing to wait.

Zhou Mengyu knew it was very impolite to inquire about another’s cultivation technique, so she didn’t press further. Instead, she sat down in the seat next to Ye Feng and patiently waited for Zhao Yebao to arrive.

Time hurriedly slipped by, and soon it was eleven o’clock at night.

At that moment, footsteps were heard outside the guest room.

Zhou Mengyu immediately perked up. Hearing the footsteps outside, Ye Feng said, ”Housekeeper Hu, you should be well-rested by now; you can stand up, right?”

Upon hearing Ye Feng’s words, Housekeeper Hu nodded hurriedly, ”Yes, I’m rested, and I can stand up now!”

After speaking, Housekeeper Hu stood up from the ground.

Because Ye Feng didn’t want Zhao Yebao to see Housekeeper Hu kneeling before him, for he was not yet ready to reveal his true strength.
