The Strongest Urban Son-in-law

Chapter 124: Chapter 122: Celebration Banquet

”What are you doing again?” Frowning at Liu Keke, Liu Keke looked aggrieved. ”Brother-in-law, don’t be so indifferent. We owe our victory today to you. I’m about to hold a celebration banquet, come with us, all my classmates want you to join!”

”I’m not going!” Ye Feng frowned. Liu Keke had promised to delete the photos, but she hadn’t yet; why would Ye Feng attend any celebration banquet? He directly refused Liu Keke.

”Brother-in-law, don’t be like this. I told my classmates that I have the best relationship with you. If you don’t come, it’ll be embarrassing for me! I’ve already deleted your photos, and from now on, I can’t threaten you anymore. If you agree, I won’t bother you for the next few days, okay?” Liu Keke looked at Ye Feng with a face full of grievance.

”I’m not going!” Ye Feng was still resolute. Now that the photos were deleted, he was even less inclined to entertain Liu Keke.

”If you don’t come, I’ll bother you every day, I have already called my cousin, and she said you should come, fearing I might cause trouble outside. She has agreed, please don’t refuse me, okay?”

Liu Keke reverted to her usual persistently annoying behavior, Ye Feng hadn’t expected Liu Keke to even involve Lin Shiyu.

Ye Feng shook his head helplessly, ”Alright, but you have to promise me you will study hard. During your study period, we must not meet again, do you hear? If you can’t do that, then I’m leaving!”

Ye Feng mentioned the study period out of necessity. Now that Liu Keke was staying with the Lin family, seeing her all the time was inevitable, and he knew it was impossible to keep her from bothering him forever.

But at least during Liu Keke’s study period, not to bother him like today, that alone would satisfy Ye Feng.

At Longhua Restaurant, a high-end restaurant in Lin Tian City, Ye Feng, Liu Keke, and their classmates gathered together.

Mr. Zhang, Liu Keke’s teacher, was also there. His mood was especially good today; as the vice dean of the Business College, he had overseen the martial arts exchange with the Teacher’s College each year.

But they had been losing for years, until their victory today.

Heavily impacted by alcohol, Mr. Zhang’s face flushed with gratitude, looking at Ye Feng, ”Come, Mr. Ye, I toast to you. You are truly a young hero, becoming the top expert of Lin Tian City at such a young age. I don’t know what we would have done today without you. Help yourself, I’m drinking this up!”

Having said that, Mr. Zhang drained the wine in his glass.

Ye Feng also raised his glass and drank it down. His role was Liu Keke’s brother-in-law at that moment. It was his nature to not embarrass those who respected him.

Ye Feng smiled slightly, raising his glass and emptying it.

Everyone was in high spirits; even the food seemed to taste three times better.

They all sincerely praised Ye Feng, and he did not resist. They were mostly innocent college students, mostly not even twenty years old, without the cunning of societal people. Truthfully, Ye Feng didn’t mind such gatherings.

Ye Feng, who had never gone to college and directly went to the Southern Border after high school graduation, also felt a touch of the students’ youthfulness.

Listening to them chatting and discussing everything that happened at school, the sweet romances, Ye Feng occasionally showed a smile — he was not as difficult to get along with as everyone imagined.

”Trouble, big trouble!” Just then, a male student rushed in frantically.

”What’s wrong? Didn’t you see that I was happily drinking with Mr. Ye?” Mr. Zhang was a bit angry.

”Mr. Zhang, Ye, Liao Tao got beaten up!” The student said anxiously.

”Let’s go, let’s go and see!” Mr. Zhang’s expression darkened, very anxious.

He knew that as the teacher who led these students, he was responsible for their safety.

Several societal men in black tank tops, with tattoos of dragons and phoenixes on their bodies, were kicking Liao Tao continuously at the stairwell of the restaurant.

Pinned in a corner, Liao Tao was struggling, cowering with footwear marks appearing all over him, utterly unable to fight back.

”Stop!” Just then, Mr. Zhang and Ye Feng arrived, glaring at the young thugs.

The group halted, and a tall, bald, fierce-looking man, with a young girl thickly made-up, who appeared only about seventeen or eighteen, approached Mr. Zhang.

The man had a scar on his face covered with tattoos, emitting an intense malice. As soon as the students around him saw him, they showed signs of fear.

Mr. Zhang asked, ”Why are you beating him, he’s just a student, isn’t this too much?”

”Spit!” The scar-faced man spat a cigarette butt onto Mr. Zhang’s body and coldly asked, ”Who are you to meddle in Scar’s business?”

”I’m his teacher!” Mr. Zhang said loudly, without a trace of fear.

Admiration appeared in Ye Feng’s eyes. Although there had been some misunderstandings between Mr. Zhang and himself before, he had to admit that Mr. Zhang was a good teacher, bravely standing up for his student’s safety without fear.

”Shit!” Scar roared, lifting his hand and slapping Mr. Zhang’s face hard.

”Smack!” The crisp sound echoed clearly in gridBagConstraints as well as the hallways.

”Teacher! You dare say you’re a teacher? How do you teach your students, teaching them to steal girlfriends and molest my girlfriend, eh?” Scar yelled, his ferocity intensifying.

Initially raging, Mr. Zhang was stunned upon hearing Scar’s words, ”Molesting your girlfriend, what do you mean?”

”Let your student explain!” Scar shouted loudly.

Frowning, Mr. Zhang turned to Liao Tao, ”Liao Tao, what exactly happened?”

With an aggrieved expression nearly in tears, Liao Tao said, ”Mr. Zhang, you can’t blame me, I was a bit drunk, I saw this girl was pretty and couldn’t resist asking for her WeChat, but when she refused, I couldn’t accept it and asked her again in her way, but I definitely didn’t touch her!”
