Chapter 40: Chapter 40

The next morning, Kiriya woke up feeling refreshed.

His mind was clear, and his body was full of energy.

”Hm. Relaxing once in a while is nice.”

He muttered this as he pulled his arm out from under Hestia.

He covered the sleeping goddess with a blanket before getting ready and leaving the room.

”All right. Today, I will push to the twenty-third floor in one go.”

Kiriya clenched his fist.

A man who had released his stress was full of confidence!

However, reality was harsh.

...

Not long after Kiriya entered the Dungeon, he reached the nineteenth floor, only to find a group of visitors blocking his path.

They were a group of Berbera from the Ishtar Familia.

They all wore revealing outfits that showed off their curves.

If they were not in the Dungeon, Kiriya might have thought he had walked into a lingerie fashion show!

The leader was a beautiful woman.

She wore a purple tube top that exposed her honey-colored skin. Below, she wore loose purple silk pants that reached her ankles.

The fabric was thin and see-through, leaving her legs half-hidden.

”We have been waiting for you, Sylvan.” The woman spoke with a husky voice that was both charming and dangerous.

”You are... Antianeira?” Kiriya called out her alias.

Aisha Belka was the vice-captain of the Ishtar Familia.

She was a Level 3 adventurer.

She was beautiful, bold, and had a fierce fighting style and her goddess had given her the alias ’Antianeira’.

”Oh, you know me? That makes things easier.” Aisha swung her great blade, cutting a sharp whistle through the air.

”Come with us. Our goddess wants to see you.”

”Ishtar wants to see me?” Kiriya frowned.

’Since when did I provoke that crazy woman?’

A warning flashed through his mind.

’Freya may already have her eyes on you.’

He remembered Hestia’s words, and everything clicked.

’So I am getting the same treatment as that rabbit? Ishtar wants to use me to show off in front of Freya?’

Kiriya found it funny.

’Are these goddesses really that bored? Do they spend all day thinking about this nonsense?’

”Looks like you understand your situation. Good,” Aisha smiled. ”If you behave, then before you meet my goddess, big sis here might do something fun with you.”

”Wait a second, Aisha!” a woman beside her argued. ”Why do you get to enjoy him alone? I want a taste of Sylvan too.”

”Exactly! Aisha, that is not fair. You are trying to keep him to yourself!”

”Yeah. His body looks strong, so he should be enough for everyone to share, right?”

The Berbera talked over one another and their words became blunt.

Their eyes grew hot as they stared at Kiriya, like starving wolves looking at a rare feast.

They looked ready to swallow him whole!

Being stared at by a group of gorgeous women, Kiriya wavered.

Images flashed through his mind and his blood heated up.

An honest part of him wanted to fight these female warriors for three hundred rounds right then and there.

Seeing Kiriya hesitate, Aisha and the other Berbera smiled.

This move always worked on men.

This time would be no different.

Kiriya took a deep breath and calmed himself.

”I refuse.”

”What?”

The Berbera froze.

He was rejecting such a tempting offer? Was this guy really a man?

’Could he have a problem down there?’

Thinking that, their eyes moved toward Kiriya’s lower body.

”Kid, do you understand what you’re saying?” Aisha asked in a low voice.

”Of course I do.” Kiriya shrugged. ”I just don’t like being passive.”

Kiriya was lying.

He could accept being passive. However, that was only true when he held control.

Being passive when you could take back the lead was fun.

Being passive when you had no control? That meant getting played.

In the end, they would squeeze him dry until nothing was left!

”What a shame. After all that talk, we still have to fight.” Aisha raised her great blade. ”I would feel bad if I cut your pretty face.”

”Heh. You sound sure you can take me.” Kiriya looked at the Berbera.

They had three Level 3s and four Level 2s.

In Orario, that was not a small force. If he had run into them ten days ago, it would have taken some effort.

But now? Heh.

”One last warning, kid,” Aisha smiled. ”You better behave. If that woman comes, you will have nightmares.”

”I will return those words to you.” Kiriya smiled as his eyes turned into the two-tomoe Sharingan.

”If you don’t back off now, you will be the ones having nightmares.”

”Big words! Get him!”

Aisha charged first, the other Berbera followed.

They spread out around Kiriya, forming a pincer attack to support Aisha.

The Berbera were relaxed since they had the numbers, and several of them were Level 3.

Against one Level 2, this should be easy!

Even if he was the famous Sylvan, he had already made it deep into the Dungeon.

He must have used a lot of strength to get here. Meanwhile, their group had been waiting, fresh and ready.

The advantage was theirs.

”Too slow.” Kiriya made his comment.

Aisha saw him plant his feet on the ground in a horse stance.

One hand rose in front of him like a blade and he pulled his other hand back to his waist in a fist.

”Is he planning to fight us barehanded?” One of the Level 3 Berbera laughed in anger.

”This guy is too arrogant.”

”There is a limit to looking down on people.”

Only Aisha felt that the stance looked familiar.

’That move is...’

She remembered the War Game against the Apollo Familia. Kiriya had used this stance in the final battle!

”Fall back!” Aisha shouted and she retreated at full speed.

But it was too late.

”Final Form: Blue Silver Chaotic Afterglow.”

Kiriya threw both fists forward with the speed of a storm.

In a second, he punched more than a hundred times. Countless air bullets screamed outward, blasting toward the Berbera.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The ground erupted in a chain of explosions.

It looked like an artillery strike, leaving craters of all sizes in the dirt!

The Level 2 Berbera lay groaning on the ground.

Aisha and the other Level 3 adventurers had sweat on their foreheads.

The hands gripping their weapons trembled.

If they had not reacted in time, they would have ended up like their Level 2 friends.

Even so, they took heavy damage.

Their arms ached from blocking the high-speed impacts and the heavy force behind the blows.

’What an insane strength! Even a casual strike has this much power?’

Aisha was shocked.

During the War Game, Kiriya had been nowhere near this strong.

’He improved this fast... No wonder Lady Ishtar cannot stop thinking about him.’

Aisha licked her lips.

She felt her blood boil!

Among Amazons, strength was everything.

They were drawn to powerful people, the strength and talent Kiriya showed were more than enough to stir her interest.

She had to take this boy.

Before, capturing Kiriya was a simple order from her goddess.

Now, she had another reason.

She wanted him for herself.
