Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 614: Chapter 354: At This Point, a Male God at Last

Who would ever complain about having too much money?

No matter how unpretentious or resolute he was, Wu Hao was still utterly shocked and deeply moved.

Who would complain about having too much money?

’Then again... President Lin might.’

Wu Hao gave Lin Chu a profound look. He didn’t refuse—not that he could. By then, Lin Chu had already walked ahead, laughing and chatting with Lu Ming.

This was a family dinner.

’I’ve never actually had dinner at his place before,’ Lin Chu thought. ’After all, we weren’t this close back then. But now, we’ve been through thick and thin. The Lu family only has one son, and I’m the one who took him to Dubai. His parents were supportive, but they must be grateful deep down.’

’It’s not like I need any of that.’

’But dropping by for a meal now and then is perfectly fine.’

Besides the gift for Wu Hao, Lin Chu also brought some fruit as a token of courtesy. ’It’s not like I could flex my wealth on his dad, anyway.’

”Bro, save me... save me... Do you have any idea what kind of setup this is today?”

While they waited for the elevator, Lu Ming whispered with a wry smile. He seemed completely drained and helpless.

”What’s wrong?”

”A blind date?”

Lin Chu grinned mischievously, making a casual guess. ’Who can escape that?’

’He’s not getting away with missing out on a single thing I’ve had to suffer through.’

”Yeah, a huge blind date... Shit, do you know who the girl is? She’s the daughter of an old friend of my dad’s. Born in the 2000s, an actress, won a Golden Horse for Best Supporting Actress.”

”What the fuck... Have I become some kind of tycoon now? Actresses are lining up at my door?”

Lu Ming said it with a complaining laugh, but there was a definite hint of smugness in his expression.

’So that’s what this is. A humblebrag.’

As the public frontman in Dubai, Lu Ming often attended events and had a title to his name, making him somewhat famous.

Now his status back home had risen accordingly, to the point where actresses were actively showing up for blind dates.

”Who is she?”

”Would I have heard of her?”

Lin Chu humored his little humblebrag and asked with a casual laugh.

Lu Ming said, ”I’d never heard of her either, but I looked her up. She really did win an award, and her acting is pretty solid. Her name’s Wen Sui. We had dinner yesterday. She’s cool—pretty lively and sensible. We even went clubbing last night.”

”She was pretty against the whole blind date thing at first, but with my charm on full display, she’s not against it anymore. Heh, I think she even kind of likes me.”

”But... shit, are there any good people in the entertainment industry?”

Lu Ming continued his humblebrag.

Lin Chu laughed dryly. ”Oh, get outta here. Take it or leave it... If you really don’t want to, you can do the dating, and I’ll handle the wedding night. I have absolutely no problem with that.”

Lu Ming: ...

”Damn... You’re disgusting! Fuck! Cut it out! Don’t you even think about her! If she has any best friends, I’ll scout one out for you.”

Lin Chu shot him a glare before clapping him on the shoulder. He slung an arm around Lu Ming as they walked into the elevator, with Wu Hao following behind.

Once inside the elevator.

Lin Chu said with mock-gravity, ”See? If you’re going to get married, just do it. As your sugar daddy, I’d be delighted to see my son settle down.”

Lu Ming flipped him the bird. ”Fuck off! You don’t even have a prospect yourself, and you’re here nagging me?”

”Dating is fine. Marriage is out of the question.”

”Besides, let’s talk about the most realistic issue here. You put all those assets in my name. The moment I get married, my wife is legally entitled to half. What do you think about that? How am I supposed to answer to you then? Go on, President Lin, grace us with your thoughts.”

He teased, a wicked grin on his face.

It was a legitimate problem.

As close as they were, Lu Ming felt he was merely the custodian of those assets, not the true owner. If he actually got married, who knew what sort of pillow talk would ensue.

What wife would be able to stand that?

Her own husband being closer to his buddy than to her?

That wouldn’t fly.

Tsk.

At those words, Lin Chu’s expression flickered.

’He... did have a point.’

He couldn’t help but shake his head and smile.

”You’ve really thought this through, huh... But you’re not wrong. We can talk about this later. The elevator’s here.”
