Alpha's Regret: The Seventh Time was Forever

Chapter 399: Chapter 399 – To Voren, there is no such thing as a small wedding

Madison froze the second the words left Seraphine’s lips. For a long moment she just stood there staring, completely thrown.

The question sounded simple enough on the surface, but it hit her hard, dragging up years of buried memories and feelings she’d worked so hard to keep locked away.

After Seraphine became Luna of the Centenary Pack, Madison and Einstein had made the tough choice to leave that life behind for good. Above all, they’d promised each other they’d never join another pack again.

Yet standing here in front of Seraphine now, Madison felt that promise starting to waver under the weight of those hopeful eyes.

Madison swallowed hard and forced a small smile. ”I’ll talk to Einstein about it,” she said, her voice coming out softer than she meant. She added quickly, trying to shield herself, ”Honestly, we were planning to head straight home right after the wedding.”

The light in Seraphine’s face dimmed right away. A little frown creased her brows as the unanswered questions piled up between them. Madison’s hesitation only made her more convinced that something important was being kept from her.

”Why don’t we all come back here afterward?” Seraphine suggested, stepping closer, her tone brightening with fresh hope. ”We can leave together for the Full Moon Festival tomorrow. Voren already booked hotels in the Outlands for anyone who doesn’t want to stay at the pack house.”

Madison smiled politely, though the warmth didn’t touch her eyes. ”Sera...” she murmured gently. ”I do plan on coming for the Blood Moon Festival. But I wasn’t planning on sticking around for the Full Moon one.”

Seraphine’s heart dropped. At this point she was almost positive Madison knew something.

”What would it take to get you back?” she asked softly.

The question caught Madison off guard. Before she could even come up with something to say, Seraphine’s voice dropped lower, full of quiet honesty. ”I miss you.”

Those three words landed like a feather, Madison’s careful walls crumbled fast. For years she’d convinced herself that staying away was the right move, that distance was necessary, that going back would only tear open wounds that had barely closed.

But hearing Sera say she missed her brought everything flooding back.

Madison looked away quickly as her eyes stung. She fought hard to hold back the tears, but when she finally turned back, her expression had gone completely soft. A quiet, defeated chuckle slipped out. ”Alright.”

Seraphine’s eyes lit up with pure hope. Madison shook her head, totally unable to resist that smile. ”We’ll come back.”

The genuine joy that washed over Seraphine’s face made the whole decision feel worth it.

Nearby, Corvine had been escorting guests toward the fleet of luxury limousines Voren had arranged.

Everything was planned to perfection, the cars sat in perfect formation along the driveway, their polished bodies gleaming under the sunlight. He’d been locked into his task until his eyes landed on Seraphine, and then everything else just stopped.

His feet halted mid-step. His breath caught hard. For several long heartbeats he could only stare, the rest of the world blurring into the background. All he could focus on was her.

She looked absolutely breathtaking. The wedding gown hugged her curves with elegant grace, letting her natural beauty shine through without any effort. Her hair fell in soft waves around her shoulders, framing her face perfectly.

The makeup was flawless, though Corvine figured she hardly needed it. Those soft touches just enhanced the glow that was already there. She looked radiant.

A powerful rush of feeling surged through him as he remembered the young woman who had carried so much pain, the one who’d been overlooked for years and lost so many pieces of her youth.

And now here she was in that stunning gown, looking like she’d stepped right out of a fairy tale. Tiny diamonds sparkled across the fabric every time the light caught them. This was Voren’s doing.

Corvine smiled to himself, warmth spreading through his chest. The dress wasn’t just expensive. It was full of meaning.

Every stitch and detail felt like Voren’s way of giving back all the beautiful moments life had stolen from Seraphine, letting her feel young, cherished, and like the princess she had always deserved to be. The gown said everything words never could.

A wide grin broke across Corvine’s face as he walked over to her. He let his eyes sweep over her one more time, shaking his head in amazement. ”You look incredible, Sera.” His smile grew even bigger. ”Voren’s seriously gonna die the second he sees you.”

Tears immediately gathered in Seraphine’s eyes—not from sadness, but from pure overwhelming happiness. ”Thank you, Corvine,” she said, her voice trembling with feeling. ”You arranged everything so beautifully.”

His smile softened. ”And you deserve every single bit of it.” His expression turned serious. ”I won’t let anything stand in the way of today.”

Then he pointed toward the waiting vehicle. ”When you get to the venue, don’t get out of the car right away, okay? We’ll be right behind you.”

Seraphine nodded obediently. Corvine hesitated for a second before adding, ”Don’t be too surprised when you see what the venue looks like and trust me, it’s all Voren’s idea.”

Seraphine did not just feel like the happiest woman in the world. She knew she was. ”I can’t wait to be his wife,” she interrupted gently.

Corvine nodded, then carefully helped her into the car. Jasmine climbed in after her, and the three middle aged women rode the next limo.

Before closing the door, Corvine turned to Jasmine, his gaze sharpening with intensity. ”If anything happens to her—”

Jasmine quickly shook her head. ”No, no. Nothing’s gonna happen.”

Only then did he relax. Satisfied, he shut the door, gave the driver a final set of instructions, and stepped back. A few minutes later, he joined Voren in another limo. The Alpha looked unusually nervous, and Corvine couldn’t help smiling.

”Your wife-to-be is so beautiful.”

Pride instantly lit up Voren’s face, and the smile that followed was impossible to miss. ”I still can’t believe she’s finally going to carry my last name.”

Emotion flickered in Corvine’s eyes. He reached over and squeezed Voren’s hand gently. ”No one can make her happy the way you do.” His voice softened. ”Thank you.”

For a moment, neither man spoke. Then they pulled each other into a brief, tight embrace. The driver quietly started the vehicle and pressed down on the accelerator.

As the mansion disappeared behind them, both men understood something important: when they returned, nothing would be the same. Life was about to change forever.

Meanwhile, Seraphine’s vehicle continued toward the venue. She spent most of the ride trying to calm her racing heart.

But the moment the car finally slowed and came to a complete stop, every thought vanished from her mind. The driver pulled over, and curiosity filled her as she glanced out the window.

Then her eyes widened, and her jaw dropped.

The venue was the last place she had expected. As understanding settled over her, she couldn’t help staring in pure disbelief. To Voren, there was clearly no such thing as a small wedding.
