Voren removed the shirt completely, letting it fall to the floor as he admired her slender, sexy body.

He kissed the crook of her neck, his hot mouth sucking gently on that sensitive spot, earning a deep, throaty moan from Seraphine that she couldn’t hold back.

His fingers caressed her soft skin, tracing slow circles that left trails of fire everywhere he touched.

He cupped her full breasts in his large palms, feeling their weight, thumbs brushing over her stiff peaks until she arched into him.

Heat flushed through Seraphine’s cheeks as he kneaded her breasts gently but firmly, rolling her nipples between his fingers, pinching just enough to send sparks straight down to her core.

”You are gentle, so unlike the Alpha you are,” she breathed into his ears, her voice shaky with need. Voren chuckled, the sound vibrating against her skin.

”You should be glad we aren’t at the pack. Besides, I’m not trying to get into your pants right now... even though I really fucking want to,” he growled softly.

Yeah, Seraphine had almost forgotten about that because of how her pheromones had begun to take charge of her.

The pleasure had been building up slow with Voren’s fingers working their magic, making her wetter, making her hips twitch involuntarily as she craved more friction.

Her body was on fire, every nerve ending alive and screaming for him. She could feel herself dripping, the slickness coating her thighs even as the other flow continued, but the ache between her legs was turning into pure, throbbing desire.

He kissed her collarbone, licking and nipping his way down, then moved to her nape, sucking hard enough to leave a hickey that made her gasp.

Finally, he took her nipple in his mouth, swirling his tongue around the sensitive bud before sucking it deep, his teeth grazing just right.

Seraphine gasped from the pleasure, tilting her head backwards to grant him more access as waves of heat rolled through her lower abdomen, building and building until she was whimpering.

It was excruciating in the best way, a mix of pleasure so intense it almost hurt, her fingers running through his thick hair as she pulled him closer, pressing his face harder into her chest.

She wanted him to suck harder, to bite, to mark her up until everyone knew she was his. Her other breast wasn’t neglected either.

Voren’s hand continued to massage it, tugging and twisting the nipple in time with his mouth on the first one. The dual sensation had her grinding against nothing, desperate for relief.

Voren switched sides, lavishing the same attention on her other nipple, sucking noisily while his free hand slid down her stomach, teasing the edge of her panties but not going further.

He was being so careful, so controlled, even as his own cock strained hard against his pants, obvious and thick. Seraphine could feel it pressing against her thigh, hot and heavy, and it made her mouth water.

He pulled away slowly, his hand wrapping her safely in his strong arms as he asked, ”are you still in pain?” His voice was husky, eyes searching hers with so much lust and concern mixed together.

Seraphine blushed hard because the pain had long gone, replaced by this deep, needy throbbing that made her want to beg him to fuck her senseless.

Her pussy was soaked, clenching around nothing, and she could barely think straight from how turned on she was.

”No,” she said honestly, her voice breathy and low. ”I stopped feeling it early on but the flow doesn’t stop until four days.”

”I know that,” Voren said casually, his gaze pinned on her, dark and intense like he was imagining all the naught things he wanted to do. ”I just wanted to make sure you are in your right mind for what I’m going to ask of you.”

Seraphine rolled her shoulders back and let out a slow breath, really relieved that the pain had finally eased off her body.

She’d been keeping herself glued together for way too long, tensing up against something she couldn’t even see, and now that the ache had disappeared, she wasn’t quite sure what to do with all the quiet that had taken over.

She sat up a little straighter on the edge of the bed, her hands folded neatly in her lap, her face giving nothing away.

”Go on,” she said, her voice coming out flat and steady, like she was already getting ready for whatever blow was about to land.

Voren took his time. He just looked at her for a long moment, his dark eyes tracing over her face like he was committing every detail to memory, like whatever he was about to say had been waiting behind his teeth for longer than either of them could really count.

Then, quietly, without backing down, he let it out.

”Sera, will you be my woman?” The whole room seemed to freeze.

Seraphine didn’t move at all. Not a single breath, not even a blink. Those words sank deep into her chest and just stayed there, way too heavy to deal with all at once. She opened her mouth, then closed it right back up again.

”It’s complicated,” she finally managed, her voice dropping down to just above a whisper.

Something crossed Voren’s face, not exactly anger, and not quite hurt, more like a guy who had pretty much seen that answer coming and had already made up his mind that it wasn’t going to be the end of the conversation.

He moved before she could create any more space between them, and suddenly he was right over her, his weight gently pressing her back into the mattress, his hands planted on either side of her head, his face so close she could make out the faint little lines at the corners of his eyes.

He didn’t look away. He wasn’t giving her any room to run from this.

”You could say out loud that you love Ravyn, no big deal, no hesitation at all,” he said, his voice low and steady. ”But the second it’s about me, it turns into something complicated?”
