The Hero Became a Succubus, and the Only Way to Level is to… What?!

As evening drew near, the Dryoak Consortium had loaded everything into the warehouses. Kanae thought they were going to disperse across the edirashem, but every single one of them stayed put. Armed to the teeth, just over a hundred consortium members stood guard over their payload and shooed away anyone who got too close.

A burly human man introducing himself as the rearwagon conductor stole Riley away to speak inside the warehouses. Kanae didn’t want to be seen by anyone close to Zayn, so she retreated back to the carriages. Judging by the thin flood of people returning to the edirashem from Maraag’s Crossing, it was nearly time to retire for the night. Spots of fire light popped up all over town to illuminate the dark desert.

Before it got too dark, Kanae and her companions set back out to town to get some grub. They found a restaurant where, instead of tables and chairs, the seating was on the still warm and toasty sands. The group sat around a metal brazier filled with hot coals, and the restaurant’s ’cooks’ simply butchered cuts of meat from hunted beasts for patrons.

Female beastmen waitresses in airy raiments delivered platters of meats, fruits, and vegetables on wooden skewers. They set them beside the brazier, leaning over the fires to roast. The excessive use of spices overwhelmed their taste buds, but an explosion of flavor more than made up for it.

”Huuu~ There’s something about eating dirty that feels so right.” Renya chowed heartily into the skewers.

”I can do without sitting on the sand… There’s already a couple of grains inside my suit!” Claudia complained, ripping off her pieces of her dominatrix outfit and shaking out sand.

”Hi, hi! A round of beer for the table of succubi!” A cute harpy girl flew over with several steins in her talons, but her flapping wings kicked up sand everywhere.

However, there weren’t enough drinks. As Kanae’s companions gulped down cold and refreshing beer, she was left empty-handed.

”Hey, I think we’re missing a cup. Where’s mine?” Kanae asked the waitress.

”Oh, you little cutie! Aren’t you too young to be drinking?” She reached down and patted her head before flying off.

Kanae wanted to make a retort, but the waitress had already gone. A few groups of people away, she spotted Riley sitting down alone next to a brazier. The elf took off her hat and stared absentmindedly into the fire until a waitress arrived to take her order.

Riley’s arrival hadn’t escaped Petyr’s attention. The sad look on her face told Kanae she wanted to go and accompany her old friend.

”You guys keep eating. I’m going to go talk to Riley. Petyr?” Kanae stood up and threw the elf a bone, but it was up to her to pick it up.

”Riley doesn’t want to talk to me. She makes that crystal clear every time we meet.” Petyr sighed.

”Suit yourself.” When she left her seat, Claudia filled the empty space to schmooze Petyr up only to be glowered at.

Riley had just received her food, a plate of skewers and beer. There wasn’t a single consortium member in sight. She ate quietly, not even making a sound while chewing. Her eyes continued to stare into the brazier.

”For someone who lost everything to fire, you don’t seem very traumatized by it,” Kanae remarked snidely.

”Should I be?” Riley glanced up with a skewer in her mouth. ”Usually, you want to take revenge on whatever robbed you of your whole life. I can’t exactly take revenge on fire. But the empire? It’s a longshot but definitely possible. So, what do you want? You’re interrupting my private dinner.”

”I’m curious about you and Petyr. Do you really hate her so much? Petyr had nothing to do with what happened to you and your family,” she said.

”Her family prospered. Mine burned to the ground. That’s all there is to it.”

The high elf’s gaze grew distant, staring into the brazier. When Kanae turned around, Petyr continued throwing glances this way.

”I guess it isn’t my place to tell you who and who not to forgive. For what it’s worth, after traveling with Petyr for a while, I know her family’s involvement eats her up inside. A lot,” Kanae explained.

Riley lifted her eyes and looked past Kanae’s shoulders. She must have caught Petyr staring. Maybe not. But she quickly shifted back to burning brazier. A skewer inside had burned to a crisp, too black to eat now.

”Our arrangement is still tenuous. I may have lived in Savir longer than Ortesia, but I’m still a high elf and your presence offends me. Get out of my sight, so I can eat in peace.” Riley waved a dismissive hand and placed a fresh skewer against the fire.

”Alright, fine. Oh, before I go. I was hoping you could clear something up for me. I overheard Zayn talking about delivering your shipment to Sultan Cerberus. Where did that fit into the Harpy King’s scheme?” Kanae asked.

”The edirashok is mistaken,” she explained. ”Someone high up in the East Saviran Trade Association brokered a fake deal with him. They paid Zayn the going rate to use his caravan to transport goods to Sultan Cerberus. He was simply an unwitting mule to deliver arms to the Harpy King’s people.”

The more Kanae heard about the Harpy King, the less she liked him. This man was able to cut a hole into the elemental plane, had contacts in Bravost’s biggest merchant guild, and possessed incredible wealth.

Riley picked her teeth with the pointy end of the skewer and said, ”Speaking of Zayn, I hope my guild is done dealing with him at the warehouse. The very brief meeting I had, he struck me as an imbecile. I hate dealing with imbeciles…”

”Oh, I’m sure— Wait, shit! Daddy’s back on the edirashem?” Kanae gasped.

”Daddy?” She raised a brow.

Kanae didn’t have time to clear up any misunderstandings. She launched into the sky and flew back to the edirashem, casting Human Form upon nearing the forewagon’s manor. Someone’s uncharming cries could be heard from the window. Climbing in, Zayn was sitting in bed with his back to the balcony, weeping into his hands.

As soon as Kanae touched down in the room, the edirashok spun around. His face was red, stained with tears and snot.

”Kanae? You’ve returned to me! I… I thought you left me along with the others for Levain’s edirashem. Even half of my servants are gone,” Zayn muttered, wiping his face with a handkerchief.

”I, er… I wanted to see the city really badly! I’m sorry for worrying you.” Kanae apologized cutely.

”Let’s get married.” He grabbed both of her hands tightly.

”Huh?!”

”Under the eyes of the gods, I shall take you as my wife in Vanuis and make you the happiest girl in the world!” The edirashok picked Kanae up and put her in bed.

Before Kanae had a chance to protest, Zayn yanked her pants down and licked her pussy. She braced both hands on his balding head, drawing a sharp breath as he ate her out. Kanae’s entire body throbbed intensely. His swirling tongue lapped up all the juices, leaving nothing to waste.

”Oohh… I’m going to cum… How is your tongue so good? I’m going crazy… More, please… more— aaahhhhhhhh!” Kanae climaxed, and Zayn pulled away as she squirted all over the bed.

”That’s it! Let’s consummate our marriage right now!” Zayn tossed his clothes aside, pouncing on her and shoving his cock into her pussy.

”Yes, daddy! Fill me up with your cum! I want it all inside meeeeee!” She threw her head back, orgasming much harder than before.

Zayn hammered into Kanae as if there would be no tomorrow. All of his frustration, all of his lust, he poured into her womb. Sometimes, down her throat. Kanae kissed his dick and nuzzled it against her face. He blew his load over every inch of her, and there was seemingly no end to his spunk bank.

Every time a visitor knocked on the door to his room, he yelled at them to leave. Eventually, Zayn and Kanae got creative. He had her sit at a vanity desk, did her long black hair into two pigtails, and fucked her while grabbing hold of the new love handles in front of the mirror.

Kanae witnessed her own depraved and blissful expression, embracing this degenerate pleasure in their size difference. Zayn was a mountain in comparison. Even his cock was enormous to her. She desperately bucked her hips for more, even as he was too tired to thrust yet horny enough to stay erect.

In bed, Kanae rode Zayn in the cowgirl position. His fingers pinched and flicked her nipples, occasionally tugging on the piercings. He grabbed her hands, interlocking their fingers as she continued bouncing on his dick.

”Do you see the depths of my love for you, my dear? I want to hear your answer now. Will you marry me?” Zayn asked.

”Yes!” Kanae answered in the height of her ecstasy. ”I’ll marry you! I’ll marry you!”

Zayn blew the final load of the night, pumping her full of cum that only flowed right back out. Kanae’s womb and pussy were at capacity, bloated like a balloon from how much she had inside her. Exhausted, the edirashok didn’t even realize he had been drained of most of his energy. He passed right out after ejaculating.

Tired and fucked to submission, Kanae collapsed on top of Zayn’s chest. His dick softened and slipped from her pussy. Fresh cum gushed out like a river of sludge.

Oh, great. Kanae slapped a hand to her face and groaned. She blurted out something outrageous in the heat of the moment. She didn’t even mean it, but the edirashok sure did. The man went to sleep with the happiest expression on his face.

Next stop, Vanuis. Rasheena tasked Kanae and her companions with finding the missing resistance members, who had likely been captured while soliciting support from the Priesthood of Three. Well… Now she also had a spontaneous wedding to deal with.

Fortunately, after that night, Zayn became a lot more content with letting Kanae out of his sight. The promise of marriage seemed to have filled him with confidence and life. A week of travel passed in a blink of an eye. She returned every night for a whole evening of passionate sex, then returned back to the others in the morning.

On the sixth day, Kanae, Petyr, and Alicia had gone to the blacksmith to repair their equipment when the temple city of Vanuis came into view. A walled city sat buttressed against the foot of the canyon. It used the jutted-out cliff above as shade from the blaring hot sun, seemingly unfazed that they might find themselves crushed one day. Grand mosques and cathedrals raised in worship of gods reminded Kanae of Lograin, but not as exuberant. These gave the feeling of ancient history preserved to the modern day, unconcerned with demonstrating affluence like the high elves do.

An urban sprawl outside the walls dwarfed the temple city proper. Giant statues towered over every building except the places of worship. Some lay buried in the dunes. All of them, worn by weather and sands, depicted only three gods— Regallis, Glentir, and Threcia.

Glentir was the minotaur shaman demigod. Threcia, the salamander warrior demigoddess, was worshipped by nearly all reptilian beastmen and those stout and battle-hardened in heart. Finally, Regallis. The hulking lupine beastman, often portrayed howling into the sky. His eyes reflected the glint of the moon. Kanae didn’t see much worship of him in Lograin or Radevic, but his followers were plentiful in Talahurah. If only Arenade was around for her to ask what kind of god her colleague was.

”You three are new here, eh?” the barrel-chested, moustached human blacksmith asked as he handed Petyr and Alicia their equipment.

”You could become a vassal family in Ortesia with your level of skill.” Petyr ran a finger along her dragonscale breastplate and nodded approvingly. ”How about an extra few coins, and you tell us what you know about Vanuis?”

He rested his elbow on the counter and lowered his voice. ”Before or after the succubi and Ortesians came to Savir? Got word from a buddy that they dropped into Vanuis and shook up the Priesthood. I also hear there’s a foreign religion that originated north taking root in Vanuis. Still small, but growing fast. If you ask me, don’t get mixed up with those gods-fearing bastards. Nothing good ever comes of it. Always asking for tithe, but never giving anything back.”

Petyr paid the blacksmith a little more coin than he asked for. On their way out, Alicia flourished her daggers before sheathing them away. Folks on the edirashem were getting ready to depart into another city again, packing their bags and loading up on merchandise to sell in Vanuis.

”Kanae, if we’re looking for missing people, I believe my ability to stealth will be invaluable here. Allow me to skulk about the city and act alone,” Alicia insisted.

”If you’re sure. Just don’t do anything reckless. I think I’m going to investigate this ’foreign religion’ first. I have a hunch it’s the Eminence of Sin… If it happened all the way up in Artaggon, I don’t see why Savir is any different,” Kanae explained.
