Chapter 83: Chapter 83: Monster Defeated, A Visit to Bald Qiang’s Log Cabin

Li You then sized up the logging robot again.

’Since the system has defined the logging robot as a monster, it should have stats.’

Sure enough.

The logging robot’s stats were now displayed.

”Monster: Logging Robot.

Qi and Blood: 600

Attack: 13

Defense: 15

Agility: 3.”

The stats weren’t that impressive. Especially its Agility, which was only 3.

This indicated the thing was clumsy and slow.

Li You’s own stats were:

”Qi and Blood: 320

Attack: 15

Defense: 17

Agility: 13.”

Although his Qi and Blood was lower, and his Attack and Defense were only slightly higher, his Agility was far superior.

With that advantage, the fight should be relatively easy.

Just then, Jiji, Maomao, and Luobutou arrived one after another.

But they were even less of a match for the logging robot.

After being easily knocked down by the logging robot, Xiong Da and Xiong Er were captured.

Bald Qiang rushed over. ”In a crisis, you still have to count on Brother Qiang.”

Then, while the logging robot was distracted, he rescued Xiong Da and Xiong Er, saying, ”Let’s team up. Just so we’re clear, I’m not doing this to help you. I just don’t want to lose my job.”

Xiong Da and Xiong Er agreed. No matter what, their priority was to work together and deal with the logging robot first.

But even with the two bears and one human joining forces, they were still no match for the logging robot.

The logging robot aimed its cannon at the trio and prepared to fire again.

At the critical moment, Li You soared down, slashing at the logging robot with the Snake Scale Sword in his hand.

The logging robot sensed the danger, quickly adjusted its cannon, and fired a blast at Li You.

But Li You simply leaned to the side and easily dodged it.

At the same time, his Snake Scale Sword struck the robot’s cannon, sending sparks flying.

Logging Robot Qi and Blood -10.

”Item Drop: Agastache x500 (Quality: Superior).”

’An ingredient drop on the very first hit, and it’s superior quality!’

Li You was pleasantly surprised.

Agastache is a plant with a fragrant aroma.

It’s also an ingredient.

It can be eaten in cold salads, stir-fried, deep-fried, or made into porridge, and has the effect of strengthening the spleen and tonifying qi.

Now that the weather was getting warmer, Crucian Carp with Agastache would be an absolute delicacy.

It was excellent for dispelling summer heat and dampness, regulating qi, and stimulating the appetite.

’Getting 500 stalks of superior-quality Agastache on the first hit... fighting this monster feels great!’

As for Xiong Da, Xiong Er, Bald Qiang, and the other animals like Jiji, Maomao, and Luobutou, they were all stunned.

’Is this human here to save us?’

’Why would a human suddenly appear to save us?’

After their shock wore off, Bald Qiang recognized Li You and exclaimed excitedly, ”It’s that tourist from the lake! What awesome gear!”

Prompted by Bald Qiang, Xiong Da and Xiong Er also recognized Li You.

’That’s right, it’s that tourist.’

’I can’t believe that tourist is so strong, and he even came to help us.’

’There really are a lot of good people in the world!’

”Brother Qiang, Xiong Da, Xiong Er, let’s attack together!” Li You shouted.

”Alright!” Bald Qiang said. ”This hunk of metal dares to steal Brother Qiang’s job? Watch Brother Qiang smash it to pieces!”

Xiong Da and Xiong Er’s fighting spirit suddenly surged, and they both yelled, ”Alright!”

But then they quickly asked in confusion, ”How do you know our names?”

Li You replied, ”I’ve long admired Xiong Da and Xiong Er of Bear Ridge, the ones who say ’Bears must bear the responsibility of protecting the forest.’”

”Really?” Xiong Er giggled. ”So we’re that famous! Even humans from other places know our names.”

But Xiong Da said, ”Xiong Er, be careful. This is no time to be complacent.”

”I know, Xiong Da.”

Then, Xiong Er lifted a log and charged at the logging robot. ”You big lug! How dare you come destroy the forest! I’m gonna smash you to bits!”

Li You could have actually handled the logging robot easily by himself, but he really wanted to fight alongside Bald Qiang, Xiong Da, and Xiong Er.

This was perfect.

Weaving and dodging, Li You landed continuous hits on the logging robot.

The logging robot’s Qi and Blood steadily decreased.

”Item Drop: Potatoes, 100 jin (Quality: Superior).”

”Item Drop: Crucian Carp x100 (Quality: Superior.)

Description: Each weighs around half a jin. Directly deposited into the Spatial Fish Pond.”

”Item Drop: Crucian Carp x100 (Quality: Superior.)

Description: Each weighs around one jin. Directly deposited into the Spatial Fish Pond.”

”...”

The chimes of item drops sounded one after another, and Li You was overjoyed.

Before long, the logging robot had only 20 points of Qi and Blood left.

It was almost dead.

At this point, Li You stopped attacking. He then said to Bald Qiang, ”Brother Qiang, we knocked a piece off this metal hunk’s back. You can see the circuit board inside now. Why don’t you try hitting it with your gun?”

In the original story, the ending was that Bald Qiang shot the circuit board on the logging robot’s back, causing it to self-destruct.

Now, Li You hoped to recreate that original ending and let Bald Qiang deliver the final blow.

Bald Qiang said, ”Okay, I’ll give it a try. You guys back me up and keep its attention.”

”Alright!” Li You, Xiong Da, and Xiong Er said in unison.

In the end, Bald Qiang’s shot hit the circuit board on the logging robot’s back.

The logging robot instantly froze, and electricity crackled around its body.

”Oh yeah! I hit it!” Bald Qiang was thrilled.

”Way to go, Bald Qiang!” Xiong Da and Xiong Er praised in unison.

A smile appeared on Li You’s face.

Just then, with a loud BANG, the logging robot self-destructed, scattering broken parts and wreckage all over the ground.

”We won!” Xiong Da and Xiong Er cheered.

Bald Qiang boasted smugly, ”How about Brother Qiang’s marksmanship?”

Of course, none of them forgot Li You’s help.

Bald Qiang, Xiong Da, Xiong Er, as well as Jiji, Maomao, and Luobutou, all gathered around Li You.

Bald Qiang said, ”Uh, thanks for your help. We might not have won without you.”

Xiong Da added, ”Yeah. We really have to thank you this time. We didn’t expect you to come help us.”

Xiong Er, on the other hand, was fascinated by Li You’s gear. ”Your equipment is so cool! It’s awesome! Can I see your sword?”

Li You smiled. ”Sure.”

With that, he handed the Snake Scale Sword to Xiong Er.

After taking the sword, Xiong Er was overjoyed and started swinging it around wildly.

”Xiong Er, that’s not how you wield a sword! Quick, give the sword to this king! Let this king show you how a sword should be wielded!” Jiji was also very interested in the sword.

”That’s right, give it to King Jiji! Watch King Jiji’s demonstration!” This was, of course, Maomao’s voice.

The bear and the two monkeys quickly started bickering.

Bald Qiang spoke up again. ”By the way, what’s your name? You must be tired after fighting for so long. How about coming to my log cabin to rest for a bit?”

This was exactly what Li You wanted. He had been wanting to see Bald Qiang’s log cabin anyway.

So, Li You told them his name and said he would be happy to visit Bald Qiang’s log cabin.

Bald Qiang was delighted and said, ”Then let’s go. Xiong Da, Xiong Er, and Jiji, Maomao, Luobutou—everyone come along.”

Xiong Da, Xiong Er, Jiji, Maomao, and Luobutou were all happy to go.

They all headed toward Bald Qiang’s log cabin together.

Xiong Er returned the Snake Scale Sword to Li You.

Li You opened the Storage Pavilion and put the Snake Scale Sword and his other equipment inside.

He wasn’t worried that Bald Qiang, Xiong Da, Xiong Er, or the other animals would ask where his equipment went or how it suddenly disappeared.

Science didn’t apply here. Besides, both Bald Qiang and the bear brothers were always pulling all sorts of things out of thin air, including many large objects.

It was just as magical as Li You’s Storage Pavilion.

Sure enough, neither Bald Qiang, nor Xiong Da and Xiong Er, nor Jiji and Maomao found it strange in the slightest.

Before long, they arrived at Bald Qiang’s log cabin.

It was exactly the same as in the cartoon.

Li You’s eyes lit up.
