Strongest Lord by Opening Blind Boxes

Chapter 508: Chapter 343: The Auction (2)

While they were talking, the Mingyu Divine Lord produced a Storage Bag and handed it to Wang Yi.

”This is the Star Yuan the Cultivation Alliance is providing to support you. A total of one hundred billion for you to bid on the Yellow Springs Gu House.”

”The Cultivation Alliance is getting involved too?” Wang Yi chuckled as he took the Storage Bag. ”You know how powerful the Demon Realm Royal Court is. Wouldn’t I be courting death by opposing them? All I can say is I’ll do my best. But no matter the outcome, I’m not giving this one hundred billion Star Yuan back!”

The Mingyu Divine Lord didn’t press the issue and added, ”One last thing. After the auction is over, help me kill someone.”

”Kill someone?”

”That’s right.”

”Who?”

”Dr. Magic, Xue An Kang! He’s level 600 and fled here from the Fifth Dimension. I have a grudge against him, but my true form is unable to descend, so I need you to act. Your strength is considerable. If you join forces with me, the probability of killing him is quite high. I will find you when the time comes.”

”Alright.”

Wang Yi nodded, accepting the request.

Afterward, he asked the Mingyu Divine Lord many questions about Hundred Battle Mountain, the Fourth Ark, the Sealing Sacred Domain, and the Fifth Dimension, reaping substantial rewards from the information.

Once the Mingyu Divine Lord had left, Wang Yi resumed his grand undertaking of opening Chaos Blind Boxes. He became a recluse, not even accompanying Li Longyu and the others on their outings.

On the second day, the top-tier VIP card that the Divine Appraiser Du Qin had given Wang Yi received a message. It was the auction contract from the Jade Palace, containing detailed appraisal information and starting bids for the items Wang Yi had submitted.

After reading the contract, Wang Yi felt that the Jade Palace was quite professional. He signed it immediately, and the items he had sent over officially became lots in the auction.

Another day passed, and the Jade Palace sent another message, this time with the auction sequence numbers.

Wang Yi had provided a total of five auction items. Following the auction’s procedure, they were marked as lots #100, #366, #1025, #2000, and #2999!

’They go all the way up to #2999? This auction is incredible. Just how many lots are there in total?’

Wang Yi was slightly surprised. He had a premonition that some good items worth bidding on would definitely appear at this auction.

Time flew by. Another day passed, and the start date of the Jade Palace auction arrived. Wang Yi presented his VIP card at the Jade Palace and was shown to VIP box #666. The box was very spacious, equipped with all sorts of amenities, a full selection of wine and tea, and even attendants. At the front, a holographic projection would broadcast the entire auction live.

Li Longyu, Liang Xiaoyu, Zhao Mei, Yun Rou, Wang Sanmei, and the Celestial Wolf Gang Leader naturally entered the box with him. They seemed very excited, sitting beside Wang Yi and discussing the upcoming auction. However, with their limited funds, they were destined to have a hard time participating in the bidding for high-grade Treasures.

Soon, the holographic projection came to life, and a beautiful woman appeared. She introduced herself as Lady Yu. Dressed in a sexy outfit that showed off her fiery figure, she was a level 420 Player in charge of hosting the auction.

”Honored guests, friends from all walks of life, the auction is about to begin. First, a brief introduction. This auction is extraordinary. The total number of lots is 3,125. In terms of both quality and quantity, this is the greatest auction in history. Most of these 3,125 lots are provided by the Miracle Divine Country and are rarely seen. The auction is expected to last for seven days. Bidding will proceed from the lowest to the highest estimated value of the Treasures. Now, I will go over the specific auction rules, which I hope everyone will abide by...”

Lady Yu briefly explained the auction’s rules, which were nothing special. Her opening speech lasted for about twenty minutes, after which the auction officially began, and the first lot was presented.

”The first lot is a Starry Giant Beast!”

Following Lady Yu’s introduction, an iron cage appeared in the hologram. Locked inside the cage was a writhing, giant ball of flesh.

When Wang Yi saw the ball of flesh, his heart skipped a beat.

He recognized that Starry Giant Beast. It was none other than [Great Shock]. Back then, this Giant Beast had entered the Void Heaven Secret Realm, taken the [Void Celestial Divine Halberd] forged from the Profound Yellow Bone, and then left.

”This Starry Giant Beast is named Great Shock. It is level 303 with formidable combat power. Unlike ordinary Starry Giant Beasts, it possesses extremely high intelligence!”

Lady Yu continued her introduction, ”Everyone here should have some understanding of Starry Giant Beasts. As spacetime invaders in the Fifth Dimension, Starry Giant Beasts are scattered throughout the Starry Sky and can be found everywhere. They are relatively rare in the Starry Sky of the Fourth Dimension. Most Starry Giant Beasts act on instinct, carrying out destructive behaviors. Once they enter a battle, it’s usually a fight to the death, and they rarely display any intelligence. This Great Shock is different. Its intelligence is extremely high. It knows how to lie in wait, launch sneak attacks, and Escape...”

”According to our appraisal, this Starry Giant Beast possesses a Royal Family bloodline and is still in its growth phase. Its level cap might exceed level 600. Although it is very difficult to tame a Starry Giant Beast into a War Beast, its flesh, bones, and skin are all top-grade materials. Due to the difficulty of its capture, the starting bid for this creature named Great Shock is one hundred thousand Star Yuan, with each increment no less than one thousand Star Yuan. You may all begin bidding...”

As soon as Lady Yu finished speaking, people immediately started bidding. Through the hologram, Wang Yi could clearly see the auction information. The bidding was fierce, with the price constantly refreshing. After about three minutes, the bidding stopped at 1.56 million, with no one else placing a bid.

”Congratulations to the esteemed guest in box #725 for successfully winning the live Starry Giant Beast, Great Shock, for 1.56 million! The lot will be teleported immediately. We ask the guest to wait for our staff to contact you and cooperate with the transfer. Now, let’s bring in the second lot...”

Lady Yu was very experienced. With a wave of her hand, the hologram changed again.

The second auction item was a ”Luminous Pearl” the size of a human head. Of course, it wasn’t a simple Luminous Pearl. It contained a peculiar energy, and the light it emitted could provide Healing for diseases and dispel poisonous fog. It was a rare healing treasure, with a starting bid of one thousand Star Yuan.

The bidding for this Luminous Pearl was much less heated than it was for the Starry Giant Beast, Great Shock. The final price was six thousand Star Yuan.

The subsequent auction lots included fashion items, pills, equipment, and so on. Although their quality was quite good, nothing caught Wang Yi’s eye.

Before he knew it, the 100th lot was brought out.

”Esteemed guests, we will now begin the auction for the 100th item. This is a peculiar object. It looks like a salted fish, but it is, in fact, a Treasure Sword. Within the salted fish sheath hides a Dragonbone Sword. This is a Salted Fish Treasure Sword! Don’t be fooled by its purple quality; it has undergone eight miraculous Enhancements. The Dragonbone Sword was forged from Deep Sea Profound Gold and comes with a Spitting Water Effect, a Flipping Effect, and a Dragon Transformation Effect. After a joint appraisal by our team of experts, its quality is determined to be no less than that of a Seven-Color Quality Treasure Sword. It can also be Refined into a Flying Sword. In a pinch, it can even be eaten to satisfy hunger! The starting bid for this peculiar Treasure Sword is two thousand Star Yuan...”

Wang Yi’s spirits lifted.

The [Salted Fish Treasure Sword +8] was precisely the item he had submitted. In his eyes, the thing was a bizarre and rather useless novelty, but quite a few people seemed to like it. The bid price refreshed constantly, and in the end, it actually sold for the high price of ninety-two thousand Star Yuan.

’Only ninety-two thousand? That’s just so-so, I guess. Not that high of a price...’

Wang Yi muttered to himself. With the ”sponsorship fee” from the Mingyu Divine Lord in his hands, giving him assets of one hundred billion, he now looked down on such a small amount of Star Yuan.

The Biyou Palace’s efficiency was extremely high. A staff member appeared shortly after to deliver Wang Yi his earnings from the auction. The Biyou Palace took a twenty percent commission from the final price, so Wang Yi received 73,600 Star Yuan.

Next up was lot #133. Wang Yi participated in the bidding for this item, which was a Seven-Color Quality black Dragon Robe fashion set. Wang Yi felt it suited him well, but unfortunately, there were many bidders, and the price was driven up past fifty thousand Star Yuan. Not wanting to be a sucker, Wang Yi gave up.

Time passed until lot #260 appeared, at which point Wang Yi’s spirits lifted once more.

This auction item was a Dark Golden Quality Chaos Blind Box, with a starting bid of eight hundred Star Yuan.

’A Dark Gold Blind Box! It’s a separate category from the regular ones, and the starting bid is only eight hundred Star Yuan!’

Wang Yi said to Li Longyu beside him, ”Xiaoli, bid for me. No upper limit. I want this item!”
