Strongest Lord by Opening Blind Boxes

Chapter 453: Chapter 316: Subsidiary Territory, Hong Yue (Part 2)

Wang Yi addressed Li Mingli while opening the Chaos Realm. He handed over a batch of white blind boxes, low-level Construction Drawings, and a few other things.

Li Mingli was overjoyed. He felt like he was living a second life.

Ye Qitian and the other two watched from the side, green with envy.

”Don’t you three worry. I have fifteen more of these small worlds. Wait a little longer, and you’ll all have your own territories!”

Wang Yi had already sent Wang Panwu to nurture the second small world. If everything went according to plan, the second Satellite would be ready in just a few days.

”My Lord, could you assign me some subordinates? I need a lot of manpower to develop this land. Also, could you build one of those Super God Football stadiums here?”

Li Mingli sidled up to Wang Yi, wringing his hands as he asked.

He actually had a few dozen people under him already—all members of his ”Heaven-defying Team,” which was mostly composed of Beastmen.

”You can apply for that yourself at the Eco-Castle. Or you could hold a job fair. Recruit whatever talent you need yourself.”

As he spoke, Wang Yi was also silently studying this first subordinate territory.

He discovered that he also had administrative rights over the subordinate territory, and his authority was even higher than Li Mingli’s. He could move buildings from his main territory over, and once they were moved, Li Mingli would gain administrative control over them.

’This is interesting. If I move the Dou Shen Palace and other such buildings over, wouldn’t Li Mingli be able to command troops too? So, should I start distributing my soldiers? How should I plan my territory’s development from now on?’

Wang Yi mulled it over, and a few ideas began to form in his mind.

’I’ll develop Huaguo Mountain, the Wukong Dojo, and the Battle Sacred Land into proper Holy Lands—places where experts gather, detached and independent. Meanwhile, I can distribute the less important Soldier Types to my subordinate territories and have them handle the more trivial matters.’

’It looks like I need to rethink my territory’s development. I can hand this over to Jelena and Nangong Jin to manage. It’s time for the Eco-Castle and the Military Affairs Office to show their worth. I need to free up my own time to focus on opening blind boxes and completing Advent Missions!’

With this in mind, Wang Yi brought Li Mingli and the others back to the Eco-Castle. He summoned Jelena, Nangong Jin, and others for a meeting to discuss the matter. In the end, they decided to relocate the entire industrial city to Hong Yue.

The industrial city contained the Gourmet Processing Plant, a Watch Factory, a paper mill, a gunpowder factory, a Printing Factory, a fishery, the Capsule Factory...

Wang Yi had also recently built some low-level factories, such as a match factory, a textile mill, and a ceramics factory.

The industrial city also housed a large number of workers.

Relocating it in its entirety was easy. Wang Yi had the Enhanced [Move Capital] skill and could complete the transfer in an instant. However, resettling the workers was a complicated affair involving many intricate details.

After much thought and further discussion with Jelena and the others, Wang Yi also moved the entire Qinghe County Town to Hong Yue, sending a few Sky Ships over as well.

And so, not counting the Potted World, Hong Yue instantly became the most populated settlement in Wang Yi’s territory.

Huaguo Mountain, on the other hand, became a little quieter.

Li Mingli was in full support of Wang Yi’s decision, raising both hands in approval. He was inwardly ecstatic. He never imagined his luck would turn so dramatically; he had suddenly become a Great Lord.

’I still need troops! Right, I have to ask for some Soldiers!’

Full of excitement, Li Mingli found Wang Yi again and said, ”Godfather, I beg you, please give me some more Soldiers!”

”Godfather?” Wang Yi chuckled. ”What, you want to lead troops now?”

”Yes! A Lord without an army is nothing in a war. I want to lead troops!”

”What kind of troops do you want to lead?”

”Those Celestial Eagle Warriors look pretty good. It seems like they live on the Sky Ships. Could you send the Sky Ships to me too?”

”Ha! Celestial Eagle Warriors? You sure don’t hold back, do you!”

Wang Yi thought about it carefully. There were only three thousand Celestial Eagle Warriors at present. Their levels ranged between 70 and 95, and more than half of them already possessed the combat power of a High-level King.

Besides, there was no reason these three thousand Celestial Eagle Warriors couldn’t reproduce.

In a Newbie World, these three thousand Celestial Eagle Warriors would be enough to flatten the entire world.

However, Wang Yi wasn’t too concerned about these three thousand sub-level-100 Celestial Eagle Warriors anymore.

”Fine. I’ll grant you the three thousand Celestial Eagle Warriors. I’ll also give you a Great Wind and Cloud Banner. How you develop from here on out is up to you. Go on now.”

With a flick of his sleeve, Wang Yi turned and went to find Jelena on his own to arrange some trivial matters.

A few hours later, Wang Yi arrived at the High-Dimensional Divine Hall. He checked the Advent Missions inside while taking out Chaos Blind Boxes to open.

Yodari and the others were escorted out of the Eco-Celestial Prison.

They weren’t sent to Yamero Star to become Bitter Workers. Li Mingli had submitted a report to the Eco-Castle and pestered Jelena for two hours to get them assigned to him.

”You will all settle on Hong Yue with me and help develop the land. And you’d better behave. You’re under my command now. If you don’t listen, I, your Lord, will kill you on the spot. But if you perform well, escaping your slave status in the future won’t be just a dream!”

Li Mingli’s voice was booming, leaving Yodari and the others filled with anxiety.

They had already learned that they had been cast aside as pawns; the Hundred Battle Royal Court would no longer concern itself with them.

This sort of thing wasn’t the first time it had happened in the Hundred Battle Royal Court, but Yodari and the others still hadn’t expected their own Lord to be so ruthless.

They felt their lives were ruined. The days ahead would likely be bleak.

But when they arrived on Hong Yue, they found it was completely different from what they had imagined. Some factories were advanced, while others were primitive. This place didn’t abide by the laws of science, nor could science explain it. It was bizarre, but also magical.

As for their lord, ”Li Mingli,” he was also a very strange person. He carried a large banner on his back, could teleport in a flash, and was equipped with a greatsword. After every flash, he would perform a leaping, vertical slash that looked very fierce.

They couldn’t make sense of Li Mingli’s actions.

In reality, that leaping, vertical slash was him using his ”Jump Slash” skill.

The skill had been Enhanced. Every time he used it, it would restore Chaos Energy—and it restored more than it consumed. Li Mingli was using this skill to farm Chaos Energy!

Another half-day passed, and Li Mingli did indeed put Yodari and the others to work developing the land. Their jobs consisted of pulling weeds, moving rocks, and leveling the ground.

After just one day, the prisoners of war were already struggling to keep up. On the second day, they started slacking off.

Li Mingli didn’t tolerate it. He beat several of the slackers half to death and hung them up as a public example, scaring everyone else so much that they no longer dared to try any funny business.

But Li Mingli wasn’t just a brute. He discovered that while these guys he’d acquired were physically weak, they were all very talented and well-educated. If nurtured properly, they could become capable subordinates.

Li Mingli began to deliberately cultivate Yodari and the others. He also had his eye on the Cosmic Spaceships on the World Line. He fantasized about assembling a Starry Sky Fleet, embarking on his own exploration of the Starry Sky, and then finding opportunities to expand his territory and strengthen himself.

Unfortunately, getting his hands on those Cosmic Spaceships would not be easy.

On that very day, in the Starry Sky outside the Strongest Royal Court, a ”small asteroid” spontaneously appeared. There was a building on it—a domed palace, which was a special ”High-Dimensional Divine Hall.”

The small asteroid slowly drifted toward Wang Yi’s Strongest Royal Court. It was another benefit granted by the system to a newly promoted Royal Court.

Of course, the asteroid also had wild monsters guarding the High-Dimensional Divine Hall—a swarm of level-120 giant scorpions!

The giant scorpions were as large as small cars, their bodies covered in crimson carapaces. Their tails were held high, the stingers at the tips glowing with red light.

Li Mingli, who was just then visiting while thinking about the Cosmic Spaceships, spotted the slowly approaching asteroid. He was alarmed and immediately sent a message to the Eco-Castle and the Military Affairs Office.

The message quickly reached Wang Yi. He was currently surrounded by a large pile of items, all from the blind boxes he had just opened. He had been feeling frustrated that there were no good missions in the High-Dimensional Divine Hall, so when he heard that there was another High-Dimensional Divine Hall on the asteroid, his curiosity was instantly piqued.

’I’ll go see what’s different about this ”wild” High-Dimensional Divine Hall!’

Wang Yi immediately stood up and soon flew into the sky, riding his Three-Eyed Golden Lion.
