The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 353: Chapter 353- Reinhardt Vs The Eleventh Heavenly King

The Eleventh Heavenly King looked towards the huge black sphere in the sky and muttered to himself.

”So Skarnyx was forced to activate the Dragon Heart, huh? Looks like the reputation of the Dark Knight isn’t for show. It doesn’t look like he will be able to last for long. I need to steal the Supreme Divine Treasure Aetherion has before that”.

As it appeared, the Eleventh Heavenly King’s goal was not to kill the Dark Knight but to use this opportunity to steal one of the seven Supreme Divine treasures from the hands of the humans.

For that matter, he was simply using the alliance with the Twelfth Heavenly King to his benefit; he never had the intention of joining hands with his fellow Heavenly King.

Betrayal in its finest, that was the nature of the demons.

”Now then, let’s break the barrier that’s been concealing the true nature of this place,” Saying that, Malcroth was just about to fire his [Plague Bomb] into the well, when from the corner of his eyes he caught the silhouette of a man with hair the color of gold, casually leaning against the wall and watching him.

Huh? If the Eleventh Heavenly King’s eyes could blink, he would be blinking his eyes right now. After all, the scene was that strange.

Logic dictated that there should be no guards around here. Aetherion was already shorthanded with all the chaos they created. Bringing in two armies, corrupting the administration of the country, starting a holy war, and even attacking their capital.

They shouldn’t have any knights other than the ones who always guarded the vault, at this place.

So what was this human with long golden hair and splendid looking armor, doing here while casually aligning his back against the wall and yawning?

Yes, yawning, the man dared to yawn in front of him.

”[Celestail Harmony]

was going crazy, so I knew you demons were doing something sneaky behind the scenes. As it turns out, you are using the same tactic you used back then during the Battle of the Black Tide. Can’t you come with anything new?”
Finished yawning, Reinhardt questioned. Usually, when he was in front of others, his body’s disposition would never allow him to do something so mannerless. However, manners had no place when dealing with demons.

Instead, it becomes extremely condescending and overbearing. His face said it all; just being near one made him feel revolted, as if he couldn’t look at the ugly mug of the other party.

Or in other words, Rienhardt turns into an extreme racist and a bigot.

He slowly walked towards the demon, who stood there, stunned by his condescending attitude. Right now, there were in that inconspicuous corner of the royal palace with a small garden and a little well where he sensed the trace of a peculiar energy when he passed by here with the Dark Knight before.

The trace he sensed was actually the Divine Energy coming from one of the seven Supreme Divine Treasures currently kept hidden inside numerous barriers and protective vaults of Aetherion.

”By the way, I suppose you don’t know where the treasure of our Solaris, which was stolen by the Ninth Heavenly King is, do you?”

He knew that there was no way a bottom feeder among the Heavenly Kings would know about it. Nevertheless, he still felt the need to ask.

SSshhhhh...

”Hm?” At this moment, he noticed everything around him was quickly withering away. The grass dried up, becoming husk, the land was stripped of all of its moisture, becoming cracked earth.

Building turned yellow, trees became hollow, and everything around him was crumbling apart at a fast rate. Yet the man was...?!!

”You?! Why isn’t my [Pandemic Annihilation] affecting you?”

Malrcoth spoke in disbelief. As it turns out, while Reinhardt was busy talking and walking towards him, the Heavenly King had already attacked.

[Pandemic Annhiliation] A world-ending attack that unleashes a plague of such virulence that it instantly infects and destroys all life.

Yet the man was unharmed. Everything around him was stripped of its life except for him.

”Ah, so you unleashed a plague, huh. Tch, talk about playing dirty, but I guess demons are inherently dirty and filthy.” Reinhardt made a disgusted face as if even sharing the same air as the other party was making him uncomfortable.

”An attack of this level would not work on me anyway”. Condescending to the extreme, he was simply insufferable.

The Heavenly King thought that he could kill Reinhardt silently using its most powerful plague. However, too bad for him, in front of the divine trait, [Ruler of Light’s Eternal Vitality], these sneak attacks were meaningless.

[Ruler of Light’s Eternal Vitality]-Description: The embodiment of boundless life energy. Effect: Grants unparalleled virility and vitality. The character can recover from any injury, poison, or affliction at an extraordinary rate. Their stamina is limitless, allowing them to fight or endure for days without rest.

BOOM... Before Malcroth could even question the absurdity of the situation, a punch magnified in front of his face becoming as big as a mountain in the blink of an eye.

The fist blasted apart the air, breaching the speed of sound before arriving in front of the Heavenly King’s face.

CRACK... the instant it made contact, the mask like skeletal face collapsed and the latter catapulted backward with such force and speed that he left ripples in the air.

Swoosh... Malcroth flew like a meteor and crashed hundreds of meters away from the royal palace, all the way to the downtown of the city. He crashed with such force that all the knights and civilians in the surrounding were all shocked.

What just crashed there?

Before they could even ponder what it was, the crash site was obliterated by a powerful plague dense enough to form a liquid spread everywhere.

”Get away, it’s not any ordinary plague.” The knights hurriedly distanced themselves, rescuing any civilians that were in the area.
