The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 352: Chapter 352- Ultimate Skill [Man Beast Transformation]: [Black Gryffin Exalt]

Seriously, was their Commander really human?

”Go to the city square, the knights are rescuing the civilians there. I will be heading back, rest your tired bodies, and don’t get in trouble again.”

Leaving behind those words, he disappeared from the spot using his movement skill.

”Let’s go,” Silvia’s words woke everyone up, and they helped bring the mother and daughter back to the city square.

The once beautiful city of Aetherion was in ruins. Fire spreading, buildings collapsing, and fights breaking out everywhere. That said, the situation looked much better now from the earlier chaos.

The knights might be fewer in number, but with the other orders from the foreign kingdoms also joining in, they were able to swiftly gain an advantage over the enemy.

”You guys, what are you doing there, standing around?”

Suddenly, Holy Knight Zerina called out to them. As she had just slain a Demon General, traces of exhaustion and blood could be seen on her body. Nevertheless, it wasn’t enough to stop this fierce demi human warrior as she was already off to fight some more.

”Ah, we just came back from rescuing the civilians,” on the squad’s back, were the mother and child and the other citizens they had rescued along the way.

”I see, don’t push yourselves is what I would like to say to you all. However, as you can see, we don’t have enough knights to match the number of demons. After you all have rested enough, get back out to the field again. Just make sure not to die.”

Saying this, the new holy knight of their order disappeared. Her movements agile and lithe, like a cat prowling for the hunt. The Squad did as they were told, after resting just barely enough, to get back on the battlefield again.

High above in the sky, inside an enormous dark black sphere. Vaerion, having undone his previous transformation, looked at his surroundings. At his moment, he could no longer see the city. All around him was a dark reddish field of loess with nothing in sight for miles.

”Hmm, not bad. To think that a Twelfth Heavenly King like you can also open a Domain? This shouldn’t be your own power, right?”

Unfazed, Vaerion asked the demon lying on the ground not far from him. In their previous exchange, it was the Heavenly King who lost.

”Kuh, so you know domains, huh?” Skarnyx slowly pulled himself up. His expression looked impassive; however, deep down, he was panicking.

How can a human have this much power? At this moment, he was forced to recall the words the Jester-Jester came to deliver to him before.

”I come in good faith. Lord of Maniacs, stop with your futile attempt to kill the Dark Knight. The wedding is a trap; if you go there, you will die a dog’s death. There is a being in the capital that you cannot hope to defeat”.

Skarnyx couldn’t help but wonder if the Jester-Jester was talking about the Dark Knight. Indeed, he underestimated the latter, thinking that the other party wasn’t much simply because they fought a weakened Eighth Heavenly King.

Nevertheless, after fighting with the knight, he understood how powerful the latter was. It was impossible to kill him just with his power alone. That’s right, if he were alone, that is.

”Hmph, I guess you learned about domains after seeing the Eighth Heavenly King use it. However, don’t think that just because you know about the ability, you can break out of it.” Skarnyx laughed, trying to hide some of his insecurities in his bravado.

”Heh, then challenge accepted. I was thinking about pushing my limits too. It’s been a while since I have gone all out. Your domain will be a perfect testbed to try out my powers”.

What? The knight wasn’t going all out yet? Even when he used his second phase?

”Hah, lies, you are simply boasting,” Skarnyx retorted, panic evident in his voice.

Vaerion did not argue; instead, he simply looked at his partner and gave the same roar the gryffin would.

Valthor, the Black Gryffin Deviant, answered his call. Immediately, its body started glowing up and in the blink of an eye, it started transforming into streaks of black light that poured over the Dark Knight.

Within seconds, the body of the knight grew in size, and he was now clad in a full heavy armor so impressive and durable that it looked like it was impossible to breach.

However, that was not all. As Vaerion moved, every action and every step of his carried the might roar of the black griffin king who had actually become his armor now, raising his strength to a whole new realm.

”Ultimate Skill [Man Beast Transformation]: [Black Gryffin Exalt]”.

The dark knight activated his ultimate skill. At that very instant, his power spiked to such a great extent that it was like fighting a completely different, much powerful person altogether.

”Shall we do this?” His voice also changed, overlapping with the cries of a griffin.

Where is Malcroth? I need assistance right now. This guy, I can’t handle him alone!! It was at this moment that Skarnyx realized that the dark knight wasn’t lying to him when he said he wasn’t using his full power.

In fact, in their earlier fight, it couldn’t even be said that the knight was taking him seriously. Too bad for him, he was a moment too late to realize that it was not through luck or handicap that the Darl Knight managed to fight the Eighth Heavenly King.

No, they actually had the power to go against them. What’s more, the Twelfth Heavenly King was pinning his hopes on someone who wasn’t even going to appear to help him. He was all alone to face this legendary hero, who had now started showing a part of his true strength.

In a secluded corner of the royal palace, space trembled and a figure appeared through the distortion. With a skull like face and six horns, the one who appeared was none other than Malcroth.
