Brand New Life Online: Rise Of The Goddess Of Harvest

”E-Elayne?!” Mark ran forward the moment he saw her, his voice filled with pure panic. ”W-What happened? You... you became a tree?”

”Wow... this is incredible...!” Blank said, staring with wide eyes. ”I cannot believe it. She can turn into a tree at will? Was this something she could always do, Mark?”

”She was a tree before, somewhat,” Mark answered while still trying to process the sight. ”Though never a pure tree. More like she just could evolve into one temporarily— no, transform into one— Ah! It doesn’t matter right now. Let’s just get closer and check on her.”

They walked carefully toward the massive black tree that had once been Elayne. Mark found it extremely difficult to explain to Blank how she could shapeshift into a tree at will. It would not be easy to tell him that she could now channel the power of an entire avatar into her real body, after all.

”Uuuh... I think I’m fine,” Elayne muttered weakly from within the trunk. ”D-Don’t worry everyone... I’m fineeee... Ah, I’m dizzy.”

And the tree spoke!

To their complete disbelief, Elayne’s upper torso slowly emerged from the center of the trunk, facing everyone. Her body looked as if it had been carved from the same black tree bark. Her eyes gleamed with a mixture of red and black light, and her long hair was made entirely of vibrant red leaves that swayed gently in the air.

”I-Is it really you?” Mark asked, still struggling to accept what he was seeing.

”Yes,” Elayne nodded. She immediately tried to force herself to shrink back down to a more normal size. ”Uugh, I can’t turn smaller in this form? No, wait... I am also... a Samurai!”

”...Samurai?!”

Mark looked completely shocked and confused as Elayne began channeling the power of her first race. The two forms quickly converged. Her body reduced in size until she became humanoid once more, mostly resembling her earlier Decaying Samurai appearance. Yet she still kept the wooden antlers, no longer had a mushroom cap, and now wore elegant wooden samurai armor across her body.

Her hair remained a mixture of branches and roots covered in red leaves. A few extra branches grew from her shoulders and back, each one hanging heavy with glowing red fruits. The sight left everyone speechless. She looked even more majestic than before, the living wood forming perfect samurai armor that fit her perfectly.

”W-Woah, she’s a Samurai!” Mark said in pure disbelief. ”T-This is really real...”

”It is!” Blank agreed, still staring. ”I have no idea what a Samurai is, mind you, but this is indeed spectacular!”

”Hehehe, I evolved twice again,” Elayne giggled, still feeling a pleasant ”high” after evolving two races at once and being flooded with so much new power.

She looked at her Status and the many new windows popping up in front of her, each one notifying her of the amazing results of her dual evolution.

”A-Amazing...” Elayne muttered, feeling the new power rising strongly within her. ”Evolving twice is so nice~! Wow, I’m in such a good mood now! Why?”

She quickly realized the reason. Turning into a Treant had filled her body with enough pure lifeforce to essentially revive her.

”I’m alive?!”

She was shocked to discover she was no longer a pure undead. Her body now produced complete lifeforce on its own! Although she still existed in a strange ”in-between” state, she was far more alive than any other undead and much closer to the Noble Races now.

”You evolved into a tree?” Mark asked again, still trying to keep up.

”Treant!” Elayne corrected him with a warm smile. ”Ah, wait— don’t eat my fruit!”

Elayne panicked the moment she saw Mark casually grab one of the glowing red fruits hanging from her branches. He was used to eating the fruits she produced back when they were still alive, and before she could stop him he tossed it into his mouth, bit down, and swallowed it whole.

”Hm? Why— Guh?!”

Before he could even process what was happening, thick black roots suddenly sprouted from his chest. Branches of black wood covered in red leaves began emerging from his body one after another.

”W-What the hell?!” he screamed in shock. ”E-Elayne, what are these fruits?!”

A Vampiric Treant sapling was beginning to parasitize him from the inside!

”Ahhh! Wait, no! Turn into a Dryad instead!” she shouted quickly. ”I mean, men can’t turn into Dryads so— Ah!”

FLAAASH!

In that exact moment, as she gave the desperate command, Mark and the Vampiric Treant sapling fused together. The process that normally creates a Vampiric Dryad activated fully.

Wooden roots and bones converged as one. His armor took on a living wooden form and sprouted red leaves across its surface. Above all else, Mark began overflowing with pure lifeforce... even though he was still a skeleton underneath!

RUMBLE!

The ground around him cracked open. Flames surged upward and fused with vampiric red energy and blood power. The transformation was amazing to watch. Mark’s entire body was changing right before their eyes.

His skull gained a smooth wooden plate over the front that took on the shape of a human face. Within seconds he had become a wooden man with a full skeleton still visible underneath, shocking everyone even more than before.
