Brand New Life Online: Rise Of The Goddess Of Harvest

Sailor and Norman joined forces and fought against the Hollows together.

Through their cooperation and by using each other’s abilities and specializations, they not only survived but overcame the Hollows through their own strength.

However, the Hollows’ numbers remained high, and whenever they were cornered they sometimes fused, creating stronger forms.

Nonetheless, Sailor and Norman were winning, and as long as they stayed close to one another they would definitely defeat them all.

Elayne and the rest were not here yet, but the two trusted that they would arrive soon enough and that they had to hold the fort until then.

”GYEHEHEH!”

The Hollows charged. Four of them had just arrived, storming the area and finding their remaining brethren slaughtered.

Their giant bony claws dug into the ground, sending massive boulders flying in every direction. Some fired death lasers instantly from their jaws, while a few seized giant pieces of buildings and hurled them.

BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM!

Dozens of explosions reverberated across the city as Norman and Sailor continued running as fast as they could, rapidly avoiding damage before moving back toward the Hollows, knowing that mere escape was no longer an option.

”Sailor, are your energy reserves charged?”

”I’ve absorbed some souls to gain their power; I’ll free them later. But yeah!”

”Good.”

Norman charged forward on his own, enhancing his giant skeletal body. His bones began growing larger and even more robust than before, taking on a black metallic sheen.

”White Bone Fortress Sentinel Style.”

”Demonic Black Bone Sentinel Form!”

He activated his second form within this new style he had developed, transforming his body into a living tank of bones hardened to their absolute limits. Using his immense weight and strength, he smashed the Hollows’ legs and broke them, then endured dozens of punches and death beams.

CLASH! BOOM! CLASH! RUMBLE!

As he tanked every blow, he charged his energy rapidly, building a giant golden bear of spiritual and ghostly energy from his aura.

Then he released it.

”White Bone Fortress Sentinel Style.”

”Golden Bear Purity Spirit Soul!!!”

Titanic bear paws manifested above the Hollows, smashing them into the ground and flattening their bodies like pancakes.

Sailor could still hardly believe the strength Norman now possessed. Although he himself could not match that level of power, when he absorbed enough damage and released it he became truly formidable.

”Now’s my turn!”

Sailor leaped higher using Ocean Step. His auras manifested—both the Ghostly Mariner Aura and the Raging Sea Spirit—enhancing his power once more.

He assumed the form he had used before, becoming more muscular, with azure runes glowing across his gray skin as his hair turned blue and flowed like water.

His muscles swelled and hardened, and so did his fists.

His Raging Sea Spirit took the shapes of many creatures: hammerhead sharks, giant krakens, jellyfish, sea serpents, and king crabs.

”Once more! Raging Ocean Fist Style!”

”[Raging Anchor]!”

He summoned a massive ghostly anchor that he hurled downward with both fists, unleashing a crushing impact zone that tethered his enemies and pulled them toward him while the weight paralyzed them.

”[Shark’s Fangs]!”

Afterward he unleashed a rapid flurry of piercing fist strikes infused with serrated water blades, cutting through the Hollows, tearing down their defenses, and dehydrating their bodies.

”[Kraken’s Fury]!”

His aura shifted. Dozens of kraken tentacles pierced the bodies of the nearby Hollows, causing some to collapse into piles of bones under hard, massive overhead smashing attacks that erupted into writhing spectral tentacles, grabbing and crushing multiple foes across a wide radius.

”[Hammerhead Shark Smite]!”

His Spirit Aura shifted once more as he combined it with Ocean Step. For a moment Sailor seemed to swim through the air itself while water gathered around him at lightning speed.

His aura formed into a massive hammerhead shark, and he delivered a deadly headbutt to the closest Hollow, shattering its core and blowing its chest to smithereens.

The others approached, but Norman used his Bear Paw to pin them down, allowing Sailor to finish them off with the same technique. Employing both legs and hands this time, he crushed their bodies to pieces and absorbed their souls before freeing them.

”Wow, we’re an amazing team, aren’t we?” Sailor laughed. ”But... Wait! Where’s the weird one?”

”We’re... an amazing team... aren’t we?”

”?!”

Sailor heard a twisted, bizarre voice behind him. His eyes widened as he saw the strange Hollow appear behind Norman, smiling viciously.

”Norman!”

”?!”

Norman was unable to react in time. The monster swung its fists, charging death energy and smashing his bones from behind.

CRAAASH!

”Gaaaah?!”

Norman’s spine, ribcage, arms, shoulders—everything that formed his torso—shattered into pieces as a massive, muscular obsidian arm and fist crushed everything.

The Spirit Core he had been developing within his ribcage broke into three fragments. One was eaten by the Hollow, which produced loud, sickening crunching sounds as it chewed.

Then the creature knelt before Norman’s struggling remains, attempting to seize another piece.

”Norman... Nor... man?” it spoke in that bizarre voice.

”NORMAN!!!”

Sailor screamed in pure anger and fury, charging toward the monster and unleashing all his techniques once more. The Hollow stopped what it was doing and received every blow without defending.

”Raging Ocean Fist Style!”

”[Raging Anchor]!”

He summoned a massive ghostly anchor that he hurled down with both fists, unleashing a crushing impact zone that struck the bizarre Hollow with immense force. The ground beneath it shattered into a deep crater.

”[Shark’s Fangs]!”

Afterward he unleashed a rapid flurry of piercing fist strikes infused with serrated water blades, cutting through the strange Hollow’s body, rapidly pushing it back, and sending it flying.

”[Kraken’s Fury]!”

His aura shifted. Dozens of kraken tentacles manifested as he leaped over the Hollow and struck from above. Many tentacles pierced its body, wrapping around it before slamming it downward with massive force.

CRAAASH!

The Hollow laughed at everything, driving Sailor into even greater fury. His aura surged and exploded with the power of all the souls he had saved, granting him their strength one final time before their liberation.

”Don’t laugh at me, bastard!!!”

”[Hammerhead Shark Smite]!”
